Very professional. Sales person was very knowledgeable. Installation was first rate and did a great job wiring a very old house for the system. Walked me through every step of the process. They were very careful with our house and went out of their way to clean up and ensure they left everything as they found it. I felt very comfortable with their knowledge and they worked very hard to ensure the glass breaks were in the right spots. They were very patient in showing me how to use the system and ensured that I was completely comfortable before they left for the day. I highly recommend them.

What I've deducted is that Brinks is less sophisticated and out for the mass market. I walked the salesperson through our space and told him that we had wine cellar and we don't want everybody who had a code to our house to have access to our collection. The salesperson assured us that it would be no problem and they could set up the system that way. When the installer was about to leave he walked me through the process (turn this off, bypass this, put this code in and then bypass that, etc.!). With HSM we had three separate zones and they were all part of one system but we could turn one off and leave one on, etc.. The police have now been out and we've been fined due to not being able to turn off our own system with Brinks! When I called Brinks to fix the problem, they said "oh! basically what you need is two separate systems and it will cost you this much more money plus more monthly, etc..." Beware, once the sale is made, it's on to Mr. Johnson for another signed contract!

Totally great! The salesman came out within 48 hrs of my requesting an appt., and the system was installed 3-4 days later, scheduling both the estimate and install was easy. The installer discovered that my turn-of-the-century house was kind of a pain, but worked around the problems he encountered gracefully and cheerfully.

Very professional salesperson and extremely thorough and talented installer. I ran wires for a couple years early in life and I couldn't do better than Brinks. Bravo!

Everything went really well. I called ADT to discuss my situation (I had an ADT system in my previous home) and they first sent a representative to my house to evaluate the existing system. Installation was scheduled for about 10 days later, and the installer (Dean) was absolutely great. He'd been asked to phone the day in advance to be certain that our schedules were coordinated (he was to arrive in the morning, and I needed to get my kids to school, so we needed to be clear on exact times. Refreshingly, he knew exactly what he was doing. It took him almost 5 hours to get everything in, but it all works and is installed as unobtrusively as possible. (Dean understands that a security system is not supposed to be decorative!)

I would highly recommend Brinks services to others. They are cordial towards their customers and do a wonderful job of monitoring our home alarm system. We are quite pleased with the service they provide to us.

Our initial installation guy showed up on time and didn't mind me looking over his shoulder and asking a never-ending string of questions for the 3 or 4 hours that installation took place. He took the time to understand the layout of our house and figure out the best place to install the alarm components (keypad, control box, transmitter, siren, smoke detector, etc, etc, etc) so that they would be unobtrusive and virtually invisible. One of the sensors that was installed turned out to be bad (it drained 3 batteries in two weeks each). It took two subsequent visits to get the sensor replaced (the first service tech had a difficult time believing that the equipment was faulty, installed a new battery, which died two weeks later, and fully tested our system), but we've had no problems since then. All three techs (1x installation and 2x service) were very personable, friendly, and competent, and ADT promptly called to check on us each time the bad sensor gave faulty indications.

ADT/Pinnacle was sending guys door-to-door. We chatted and agreed to have a system installed 'for free' but then realized that the base install wouldn't do what we wanted. Up selling additional detector and cellular transmitter added to our cost. Our monthly service with the cellular backup is $48. We are locked into a 3 year contract. They drilled in our door sensors and had to drill into the wall for the keypad and power supply connections. We didn't expect that. The guys doing the install were trained, but not career guys. It was a summer job for them. We haven't had any issues and the thing appears to work. I guess I don't want to have a burglary or fire to test it out for real. Hindsight now. I guess we didn't really need the system, but they were pretty high pressure about safety and such. We'll probably be canceling in 2.5 years unless we find some other way out of the contract.

They installed a new security system in our home. He worked all day, and walked me through the house to determine where to put everything. He was professional, and we are very happy with what he did.

Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. After reading the fine print in the contract the sales rep did not go over with us and then reading other's comments on various consumer websites we decided to cancel our agreement. Contract says you have 3 business days to cancel and receive full money back. Very, very hard to cancel. No fax number to send cancellation, only a mailing address in Utah in which it has to be received in 3 days, not postmarked. I sent it priority mail and they said they never got it in time until I proved it to them through the PO. It took 2 months and 5 long distance phone calls to the company to get the money refunded. The contract also says that if they do not come back to pick up the equipment in 20 days, it is yours to keep. I argued at length with them about this and they told me they would not refund the money until they came to get the equipment. It was 60 days later. DO NOT EVER USE THEM. VERY POOR COMMENTS ON SEVERAL CONSUMER WEBSITES!

The sales consultant was polite and easy to deal with. The installer arrived on time, finished quickly and did an great job. We have had no problems with the system.

They installed an alarm system in my home and provide monthly service. The installation was free with the service agreement. I have been very pleased with their service. The peace of mind that it gives us is well worth the monthly charge.

They were wonderful to deal with and would recommend them! Their techs were great and were very prompt!

They got here on time and the installer went through the entire system with us. They were thorough and very helpful with our questions.

We've used Brinks before and had a much smoother install than this time. This install was done by Lloyds. The first crew that was sent was in training and took almost all day to do very little work (in our estimation, they spent most of the day waiting for their field service manager to arrive. The manager came back another day to finish the job. While everyone seemed very diligent and anxious to make sure we were satisfied, it still took too long! Ultimately, the system is in and working, and we're happy with it; it just felt like a marathon getting here! Note: Price would have been $345 + conversion costs, but we were eligible for a special discount as previous customers.

The salesman showed up on time and thoroughly explained the installation procedure. I want to make it clear that the salesman was great! I was told that a technician would arrive between 7:30 and 9:00 am, that didn't happen. The technician finally showed up after 9:30, did not call to say that he was running late, did not explain what he was going to do, expected me to be home during the installation (I was told I could go back to work), did not clean up any of his mess, took a personal call while I was waiting for instructions from him on how the system worked, and refused to explain the installation of the box in the basement when I asked, which was plugged into the wrong outlet. If I wasn't so concerned about having the system installed, I would have told him to leave and send out a professional in his place.

The representative was very professional and did a lot of extra work for us, and didn't charge us for the extra time or parts. We've had a Brinks system for 12 years, and every time we've needed work done, they have been very quick to answer our questions and to get the work done. I would recommend this company, they have a long history in security systems, and they have systems to meet almost any need.

Very good experience. Salesperson was very courteous and helpful and got us set up with what we wanted. Installation went very smooth without any problems. Great experience.

THEY DO A GOOD JOB AND PRICE IS PER MONTH. WHEN THEY GET A REPORT OF A BREAK IN THEY TRY ALL THE PHONE NUMBERS TO MAKE SURE IT IS NOT AN ACCIDENT. THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND.

RESPONSIVE WHEN NEEDED, BUT ALSO A LITTLE OVER THE TOP WHEN NOT. PROBABLY BETTER TO BE TOO MUCH THAN NOT ENOUGH.

WE WERE REFERRED TO ADT THROUGH OUR INSURANCE COMPANY, USAA. HAD WE KNOWN BEFOREHAND WHAT A HASSLE IT WOULD BE (OR CHECKED ANGIE'S LIST!), WE PROBABLY WOULDN'T HAVE GONE THROUGH WITH IT. THE SALESMAN WAS AN IDIOT. HE COULDN'T FIND OUR HOUSE, HE WROTE DOWN OUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER WRONG AND HE FAILED TO GET OUR INSTALLATION DATE SET UP (WE ENDED DOING THAT OURSELVES). ON THE OTHER HAND, OUR INSTALLER WAS EXCELLENT. HE WAS COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT. WE'VE ONLY HAD THE SYSTEM INSTALLED FOR TWO WEEKS, SO WE CAN'T SPEAK TO FALSE ALARMS.

EASY TO SCHEDULE AND CONTACT VIA PHONE. ONLY COMPLAINT WAS WE HAD TO HAVE SEPARATE APPOINTMENTS TO FIX THE BROKEN CONTACT AND ANOTHER TO DO A 'SYSTEM UPGRADE' TO ADD THE ADDITIONAL KEYPAD/DOOR CONTACTS. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE THE SAME TECHNICIAN DO FIXES AND UPGRADES. ALARM WENT OFF DURING A VACATION ONCE AND THEY PROMPTLY CALLED OUR FRIENDS ON THE LIST AND ALSO THE POLICE TO ENSURE THAT A BREAK IN HADN'T OCCURRED.
