Description of Work: Put in a dishwasher.Fixed a leaky pipe. Replaced flapper in toilet. They did a |good job with all repairs. I felt they charged too much for the work they did that is why I gave them a thumbs down. I felt the discount they gave was just a gimmick and they was no real savings.$460 plus $99. for $200 of work. total cost |$560.

Description of Work: They never contacted me to set up an appointment. I reached out to them multiple times to set up a time frame.

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal for a furnace cleaning. The technician arrived and told me I needed a whole new system.

Description of Work: Paid for an evaluation and was unable to schedule. Initial contact from firm was weeks after order placement. Finally scheduled out two weeks so they could assure me they could be there and they subsequently did not show up or notify me that they were not going to show up. Then, have not responded to request for reimbursement since they did not perform to a level of communication I need.

Description of Work: They replaced R-22 in my central AC unit. Cost comprised $145 for the work & materials, and $85 for the service call. I was told that they will waive the $85 service call fee if more than $300 work is performed. | |The technician showed up within the stated time range, and performed the work in a little over a half hour. He explained the process and what needed to be done. He stated that I should consider replacing my AC unit soon, as it is 18 years old. An hour after he left, someone from their office called with a quote for a replacement unit. I plan to shop around, and I'm not sure if I will take them up on their bid, but I was nonetheless impressed that they followed up so quickly. Good customer service.

Description of Work: I feel terrible for having to give such a bad rating. The technicians who actually performed the work were quite good. However, Amanda in the office doesn't know the first thing about customer service except how to avoid the customer. I know how to treat customers; I have received awards for superior customer service so I fully understand expectations. At one point during the project the city inspector for St Paul showed up and red tagged the project. Amanda had not pulled a permit or "as she explained" the paperwork must have gotten lost. Regardless, if a customer of my mine suffered such an embarrassing set back I would have jumped through hoops to fix the issue. Not Amanda. She explained that she was busy. Busy????;Seriously????? First she failed to follow through on a quick resolution. Then she bought a permit for my job but at the wrong address....all in an attempt to avoid the penalty. It took a full week and a trip to the city to fix the mess. Terrible service overall.

Description of Work: Tuned-up the 25+ yr. old garage furnace I inherited, did a professional job. The tech, Ryan answered all my questions and was polite.

Description of Work: Mike's has taken care of me on several occasions for several issues -- the last was to replace a circuit board and blower on my furnace. I have an older furnace that still works fine. They handled my furnace issue quickly and professionally -- even when they had to work to find some parts (my unit is over 26 yrs old and I can't afford to replace it right now -- and they didn't just try to sell me a new unit). Mike's has also been out to fix my air conditioner and a major plumbing issue under my kitchen sink (the technician went well above and beyond the call for that issue). I have never been disappointed with Mike's.
