Called provider to discuss appointment for floor replacement. Provider telephone "manners" very poor, would not stop talking and complaining about how he was all alone in his business; could not find adequate help. Had to interrupt provider repeatedly on phone to get him to allow me to explain what was needed. After third try provider abruptly quoted me a price over the phone...before he had even seen the job. Would not recommend this provider.

Scott showed great attention to detail and never cut corners. The floors were in pretty rough shape before he started, but they turned out even better than we had hoped. Scott did an amazing job, and was courteous, professional, and trustworthy from beginning to end. We would recommend him in heartbeat.

Pride and professionalism. Scott's passion for his trade is clearly evident in his work! Initially, we received quotes from 4 different contractors, most of which were direct referrals from people we knew -- including Woodchuck Flooring. Scott's attention to detail is ultimately what sold me. He took the time to tuck the flooring under our brick fire place, no one else even suggested doing so. Quote: From the start of the quote I was pretty certain Scott was the guy we were looking for. He didn't try to speed through the appointment like he had another client to get to after me, like a few of our other contractors. He took the time to ask questions, make suggestions, and he made sure that I had all of my questions answered. Most importantly, I could see his enthusiasm and pride as he was describing the process. This man knows the value of a job well-done! Bid: Of the quotes we received, Scott's was not the cheapest but it WAS the best. A few of the cheaper quotes (not much cheaper) were rushed and almost evasive when it came to answering some of my questions. As it turned out, the contractors themselves were more of a supervisor of the job being done; the laborers doing the actual job were NOT the expert -- I just did not like that idea! Scott's bid was fair, and I felt much more comfortable knowing he was going to be doing the work. Value: Phenomenal. I would have gladly paid more if I knew what the end result would be! Don't tell Scott that though ... he'll be hired again a few years down the road when it comes time to refinish the floors. Overall: Scott was courteous and professional; he went WAY out of his way to work with my schedule; he was very detail-oriented, which resulted in a far superior service than I was expecting.

Scott was polite on the phone and came at the appointed time. He was courteous and took the time to explain what work was needed and what the schedule would be. His price was right in line with other estimated we had. Scott communicated well on the scheduling end, and he worked h****** the days he came. Now for the good part: the floor turned out magnificantly! The multiple sandings produced a very smooth surface, and multiple coats of oil based polyurethane yielded the most beautiful finish. I use this room frequently, and just seeing the floor is a joy. This refinishing was a job of true craftsmanship, and we are lucky to have an example of Scott's work in our home. I would recommend Woodchuck Flooring without hesitation.

EVERYTHING WAS FAST AND THE COATING DRIED QUICKLY AND HAD VERY LITTLE ODOR. VERY NICE TO WORK WITH.

My husband and I bought a fixer upper. We removed some walls and discovered the walls had been removed and replaced previously, displacing some flooring. An earlier patch was an amateurs attempt to replace a 9 inch gap in the floor between the dining room and living room. My husband and I wanted an easy, simple fix. We planned to do this ourselves but the project was holding up the job of the floor refinishing which we also planned to do ourselves. I asked Scot from Woodchuck Flooring to give me an estimate on what it would cost to repair this 9 in x 9 ft gap in my floor. Scott's rates were so reasonable I asked for a bid on the floor refinishing and decided to have him to it all. Best decision! Our floors are beautiful. Scott scheduled the work within a quick time frame, was prompt, professional, friendly and courteous. I enjoyed working with him and will enjoy the floors for years to come. I highly recommend Woodchuck Hardwood Flooring.

The service was excellent and Scott worked around our schedule of painters, furniture people, and our family. The floor has looked this good in a long time. I would recommend Woodchuck Flooring to everyone for price, service, and quality of work!

Hired the woodchuck for a huge flip we were doing. This was a big job that included - 24 linear feet of patching where we had removed walls. He weaved new boards in seamlessly and it is nearly impossible to see where the floors have been patched. - New cherrywood install with a maple racetrack around the perimeter in an addition. - Scrape, sand and refinish flight of stairs - Sand and refinish several thousand s.f. of oak and maple flooring in our old 1925 remodel. We threw a lot at Scott and he hit a homerun for us. His prices were competitive, he went above and beyond when it came to customer service and quality of work. He truly took more pride in his work than if it was his own home. I have recommended him personally to friends and look forward to the next project when he can hire him again.

EXCELLENT JOB. SCOTT DID A WONDERFUL JOB SANDING AND APPLYING POLY TO THESE OLD FLOORS, REALLY BRINGING OUT THE BEAUTY. HE EVEN TOLD ME TO SKIP THE PLANNED 3RD COAT BECAUSE IT WASN'T NECESSARY AND LOWERED THE FEE ACCORDINGLY AND HE CLEANED UP AS HE WENT SO WE HAD ALMOST NO DUST AT ALL!

I FOUND SCOTT TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THE FLOORS LOOK BEAUTIFUL. HIS ATTENTION TO DETAIL WAS GREAT. EVERY CORNER OF EVERY CLOSET, NOOK AND CRANNY LOOKS WONDERFUL. I THINK IT WAS WELL WORTH THE PRICE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE WHO ASKED.

SCOTT WAS A DELIGHT TO WORK WITH AND HE DID AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB. HE REFINISHED THE OAK FLOORS IN OUR ENTRY WAY, LIVING ROOM, AND DINING ROOM. HE DID A CLOSET FOR FREE, INSTALLED A "FOOTER" ON OUR BASEBOARDS, AND DID A WONDERFUL JOB OF PIECING IN NEW OAK STRIPS TO REPAIR SOME WATER DAMAGE. I FELT COMPLETELY COMFORTABLE GIVING SCOTT A KEY AND FULL RUN OF THE HOUSE. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH SCOTT. HE DOES ALL OF THE WORK HIMSELF AND IS EXTREMELY CONSCIENTIOUS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

REFINISH $3/SQ FT; INSTALL & REFINISH $7/SQ FT. FLOORS ARE BEAUTIFUL. ORIGINALLY WE HAD HIM SCHEDULED TOO EARLY IN REMODEL. SCOTT IS VERY GOOD BUT DIDN'T ANSWER CALLS OR SHOW UP ON ASSIGNED DAYS. COULD HAVE TOLD US WHEN IN THE REMODEL HE SHOULD DO HIS JOB.

I HAD SOME BLACK SPOTS ON THE FLOOR THAT OTHER COMPANIES SAID THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE THE WOOD AND HAVE IT PATCHED. SCOTT SCRAPED THE SPOTS AND SAID THEY WERE NOT DEEP AND WOULD COME OUT WITH SANDING WHICH THEY DID. THIS SAVED ME ABOUT $400 WHICH THE OTHER COMPANIES WOULD HAVE CHARGED ME TO REPLACE THE WOOD. HE DID THE WORK WHILE I WAS OUT OF TOWN. HE DID A GOOD JOB CLEANING UP.
