Brad did a great job & kept in mind the cost by using the equipment that was less expensive first. That equipment & his expertise got the pipe open within the hour he was here. The only reason for the B rating in promptness is that he did come later than expected. He was very good about calling me to keep me informed on his time & showed up when it would've been the end of the day for most around 5pm. Glad he stayed & did the work at that hour. The $155/hour price was the only reason I gave the price a B. Seems like a lot but I believe it may be the going rate. Plus I got their discount of 10%. I would've appreciated being informed that they "might" have to use another special steaming machine to thaw things out if they felt it necessary. That would've cost more money for the job being done IF needed. It wasn't. Brad knew what to look for, what to use & didn't waste any time getting the job done. I'd use them again. Hope I don't have to!

Called SOS the day before Thanksgiving. They answered right away and had someone at my house within 2 hours of my call. Tech arrived and confirmed that it was my kitchen sink that was clogged and he got to work clearing it out. Just as he was finishing it, he told me that the pipe that comes out from the wall to the sink had a hole in it. He stated that he was not a plumber and could not fix it. He taped it up with electrical tape and advised me to contact a plumber. He collected his fee and was on his way. |Oh he was apologetic but didn't even give me a reference for a plumber. |He did accomplish what I called him for, but leaving me in that state left a bad taste in my mouth.

My daughter called on Sunday evening regarding a drain problem. I knew from the description she gave me that it was a blockage and that she needed to call a professional. I had SOS do my own drains a couple years ago and was very satisfied so I recommended that she call them. They came out around noon on Monday took care of everything very quickly and at a reasonable cost. We're very satisfied with SOS Drain and would recommend them to anyone........

Arrived on time and as promised and performed the work quickly and cleanly. I would use them again. In fact, this is the second time I have used this company. Been pleased both times.

They are very good because they respond very promptly, they are reasonably priced, and they have excellent technicians. I think they give 10% discount because of their listing in Angies List.

Our kitchen drain clogged on Friday evening so we went without using the dish washer or sink over the weekend as our regular plumber is closed on weekends. On Monday morning our regular plumber called back and after hearing about the issue, recommended SOS. Looking at Angie's List, I saw that they did good work, so I called at about 10:00 a.m. and set up an appointment to come between 3:00-5:00 p.m. that day. Relieved that the issue would finally be resolved, I waited at home for the plumber to arrive. At 3:30, after no one showed up, I called and received an answering service. At 4:30 the owner called me back profusely apologizing for the no show. There had been a series of issues on another job that took up the whole team and the owner's phone had been inaccessible. That is definitely understandable and we rescheduled for the next morning. Adam from SOS arrived between the agreed upon hours of 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. and was professional and friendly. He cleared up the clog in less than an hour and was very thorough in ensuring that there would be no further issues with the clog. He cleaned up after himself and we were back to having a functioning sink. Definitely something that we take for granted but after dirty dishes have been piling up for four days, doing dishes was a pleasure. So, while things ended well, and the delay was understandable, I still waited around in vain for a few hours on Monday and went without a functioning sink and extra half day, which is why I rated SOS at a B. Price was a B because I started researching other companies here on Angie's List when I wasn't hearing back from SOS and saw that another provider charged $89/hour so they came in at a less expensive price (I used an Angie's List coupon to get the price to $94 for just under an hour's work). I would however use SOS again as my experience was positive overall and they took care of the issue at hand.

Randy answered our call in the afternoon for help and came on the same day at 6:00 p.m. He had to auger out the drain from the sink side and then again from the cleanout plug located near the basement floor. He opened the line without any further trouble and we were glad we called him. He, without asking, gave us a discount on the cost of service because we obtained his company's name from Angie's List.. Randy was very pleasant and professional. We would have no problem in recommending him to our friends in the future. We will certainly call him back in the future if we have need for his services.

My washer backed up the main house drain in the basement when emptying so I called SOS early one morning and was able to be seen that day within a two hour window. The representative of the company was very polite and asked if I preferred if he take his boots off when entering the house. He then preceded to the basement to discuss the problem with drainage, obtained the electric snake from his truck which was on a cart, wheeled the cart down the stairs (no damage to steps or flooring), and cleaned out the drain. He tested the drain after cleaning it by pouring a bucket of water down the drain but I also had him wait while I filled the washer up with water and drain it. No problems! I was given a 10% discount because of my membership in Angie's List. I would use SOS again if problems arise in the future. I obtained the great service that one hopes for.

I have used them a few times and their service has always been excellent. Their price is wonderful and they are always prompt. I have never had trouble contacting them or scheduling an appointment. Everything was done correctly the first time.

Wonderful! I called, was able to get an appointment almost immediately. I had a 2 hour window in which they would show, they were there right within the timeframe. Randy was very polite and professional. They brought a mechanical snake to clear out the drain, everything was very clean when they left. While he was snaking the drain, and diagnosing, I was given tips on how to keep the drain clear, things to look for as far as problems. All in all, a quick professional and pleasant experience.

The floor drain in my laundry room has been backing up when the washer drains for over a year now. I had another well known name brand company out to service the issue about a year ago when the issue caused a back up in the basement shower. They came out and snaked the main line to the street, but didn't do the floor drain from the laundry room to the main line, so that drain continued to back up when the washer would drain. It continued to get worse over the past year until it completely covered the floor before slowly draining. I called the morning of Oct 11th to check on prices and availability. Prices were very reasonable and he could send someone out that afternoon. I said I would have to call them back to schedule so I could make sure someone could be there to meet them. I called them back to schedule the appointment almost 2 hours later, and they were still willing to come out that afternoon. Randy came out on schedule, called when he was on his way as promised, and did an excellent job in a professional, timely manner.

The drain was plugged from one end to the other. I tried running a snake from the sink down, but I could get passed some of the pipe bends and had no success. A man came from SOS and was able to run a snake all the way through the drain, but the drain still wouldn't flow. The following Monday they sent a crew with a pressure device that after some coaxing were able to get the drain flowing. It was a little messy, but they did a good job cleaning up.

The bathroom sink always drained slowly. Liquid drain cleaners were not doing the trick, so I called SOS Drain and Sewer Cleaning Services. Brad removed the P trap and snaked out the plumbing. It was all very quick, skillful, and clean. In and out in around 15 minutes, or less.

I got a 10% discount from them because I told them that I was a member of Angie's List. I like them for everything, they were very pleasant when I called and they ask when I needed the service. I think they could have come the same but I ask them to come two days later because I was going to be in the house waiting for something else. They came on time, they did a fine work and I have no complains.

Guy that did the work was not on time - didn't show up at all once. Had to call him more than once. But he got the job done and there has been no problem since then. Once he finally got here he worked hard.

Adam arrived only a couple hours after I placed the call. He fixed the issue with my drain within an hour and identified the problem causing the backup. Adam was very professional and fixed our backed-up drain. He tested the drain before leaving and made sure that the problem was solved. Thank you to SOS for great service.

Extremely prompt service. Cleaned up after themselves. Received same discount as listed on Angie's List website even though I didn't identify myself as an Angie's List customer. That led me to believe everyone gets that discount.

He found the first breech about 10 ft from the sump pump, which confirmed my thoughts, but was told couldn't take the camera past the broken area. went in the other direction, and could only go 50 ft due to length of camera line. it would have been nice to go all of the way around if he could have. I would use this company again.

Adam R. was the serviceman. He did an elegant job of unplugging our line after our washing machine flooded the laundry room. He explained to us what steps he had taken and gave us an idea of what we may expect as far as servicing issues in the future. Prompt and thorough professional work /finish--nice person, nice job.

More disappointed with myself for not popping the floor drain cover off and checking before I called for service. However, the service guy explained that since both our AC condensate line and our dehumidifier lines run into that drain, they had created a gel-like substance of gunk that basically sealed the drain. Kind of an expensive lesson, but I know now to check at least once a year, which I admit I hadn't done. He came within the time slot, called about 20 minutes before he arrived, was polite, expedient, and that was that.

They discovered that it wasn't blocked but collapsed in a section down at the end. They were able to determine exactly where the collapse happened.

Did excellent work. They charged my girlfriend the same price for the same job. Very responsive and pleasant.
