Description of Work: Floor sanding. Although my overall experience with them is good -I would recommend them, my concern is with their communication -especially for customers that haven't had floors sanded before. I learned a lot about this process but just feel they could have provided me with more guidance and expectations about how long you would have to be out of your home-how many coats etc, and ideally you should be out of your home for 3 days. Guidance on what you should do with pets-for my home-every door was part of the wood floor -I had no other way to get in and out of my house -so that needs to be addressed and what is best for that type of situation . Quality was good-communication poor.

Description of Work: Installed hardwood floors in kitchen, dinning room, living room and hallway as well as the stairs in this two level town home. Made good recommendations. They did a terrific installation. They thoroughly planned each section, laying it out in advance of final nailing. It was truly impressive.

 + -1 moreI purchased a gift certificate at MN Teen Challenge Gala and was very pleased with 2 things; 1st Robert supporting this very worthy cause and 2nd the work his crew did on our floors. We weren't quite ready for full sanding and refinishing so we chose the Buff & Coat to get a few more years of service out of our hardwood floors. Robert called me in the morning, his guys were out within a 1/2 hour and they took care of everything. The floor looks beautiful and the crew was very professional, explained what they were going to do and cleaned up afterwards - we have to stay off of it for 10 hrs which isn't big deal
Description of Work: Buff & Coat the floor -- we weren't quite ready for full sanding and refinishing

We were on a very tight schedule with other constructions and projects being done. They were on time and the job was completed when they said it would be. I would use UB hardwoods for all my flooring needs.

They are the lowest bid. The workers actually know what they are doing. They are knowledgeable. It seems like a small operation so you are dealing with the same people the whole way through.

 + 0 moreROBERT DID A GREAT JOB WITH INSTALLING MY FLOOR, WAS PUNCTUAL AND COURTEOUS. HE ALSO DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THE TRIM. I WISHED HE HAD CUT MY STEPS MORE ACCURATELY SO THERE WAS LESS OF A GAP BETWEEN THE WALL AND THE STEP BUT I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN TO INSTALL THE FLOOR, HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THAT AND INSTALLED IT TO SPECIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE WARRANTY TO BE IN AFFECT.
Description of Work: INSTALLATION OF VANGUARD TAPTIGHT MAPLE FLOORING PURCHASED FROM HOME DEPOT. HE ALSO TOOK OFF THE MOLDING AND REAPPLIED IT SO IT LOOKED NICE WITH MY FLOOR. HE DID SOME CARPENTRY WORK FOR ME AND PUT OAK STEPS AND RISERS IN MY SPLIT LEVEL.
