The technician spent a ton of time investigating why the relatively new air conditioner condenser wasn't working properly. He went as far to call the company and get a replacement if needed. It turns out, the original install (not Standard Heating) wasn't done properly and the technician figured that out. It was about HALF as much as I was originally quoted to repair this and I am very appreciative of the attention to detail and time spent.

Jeff the technician was very professional and friendly. He arrived during the scheduled time and called 20 to 30 minutes before arrival. He performed the work quickly and replaced the furnace and humidifier filters. I have used Standard Heating for years and have great confidence in them.

There were some miscommunications . They said they'd handle all the utility rebates. They did not. The install was mediocre. They said I needed to change a supply vent to a return vent in our basement. Our basement is much colder than before the replacement. They said it would be quieter than the old furnace. It' s actually louder. The exhaust pipe opens upward allowing rain to enter. They said that's normal. I looked at others and none of them open upwards. We thought that by paying more we'd get quality. We should have used a smaller less expensive company.

They did a great job. I did not even know that they were there. They cleaned up and explained everything. I had used them in the past for a repair and that was great as well. Would definitely use them again.

Every time they come out the service provider is great. In addition to today's visit, we had a new air conditioning unit installed and purchased through them in May (since our super old one died right before the season!). They were fantastic with everything with that as well.

The technician, Seth, was experienced, competent and friendly. He repaired the air conditioner and gave me several suggestions for the future. He also made a follow-up visit the next day to install an improved air filter system on my HVAC system. Seth was extremely courteous and represented the company well.

Our tech Nathan was very professional and courteous. He took time to explain everything he was doing in detail.

Replaced the zone system on our heating and cooling system. Replaced the old zones, panel and stats. Installed new dampers, panel, fan switch and stats. Tested operation and showed me how the new stats worked and left me with the manual and instructions. Was right on time and very professional. Cleaned up afterward and made sure I knew to call if there were any questions or problems.

I've had Standard Heating maintain my furnace and AC for several years. They are prompt and efficient. The only time they couldn't make an appointment, it was because someone else had a furnace break down on a very cold day--they called to ask if it was OK that they rescheduled my tune-up in order to take care of an emergency call. I'd want that kind of consideration if my furnace failed!!

The service was great!! Seth was extremely helpful and informative. I learned a lot and felt confident in the decisions I made concerning the air conditioning unit. He also noticed a wiring problem when he opened the heater and quickly fixed it. I would definitely call them again.

Great service. When the problem was discovered we were treated with respect and Decon, was excellent at explaining what was wrong with the system and with reviewing our options. We were able to make a well informed decision with how to proceed. They got us scheduled as soon as possible. All the guys who came to do work on the project were friendly and respectful. I appreciated the professionalism of this provider. Much better than Ben Franklin. Didn't try to sell me any additional services but was honest about what might be coming next as far as the furnace tune-up goes.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the responsiveness and service provided. Our air-conditioner stopped working on a Friday night so we anticipated a summer weekend without AC. We called at 9:00 am on a Saturday and were thrilled they could come out for service the same day. Over the phone they provided us with a service window between 9:30-1:00 and at 9:40 we received a call that the technician was 5 minutes out. He was courteous and professional, quickly identifying the issue and had the faulty part replaced shortly thereafter. Before leaving he provided us with information on their maintenance plan and explained the basics, but did not pressure for us to sign-up. From placing the call to having a working air conditioner was approximately 75 minutes. It was well worth cost for a Saturday service call.

This is our second experience with the company. A few years ago, we had them replace a very old furnace. We could not have been more pleased with the professionalism and pricing. When we learned that our equally tired A/C unit was no longer working, we asked the company to determine our needs and recommend the appropriate products. They did so with great precision, surveying our rooms and the location of air ducts. They gave us two options. Actually, they recommended the lesser priced option, given the particular configurations and air flow needs of our home. Once we agreed, their installers came out shortly after to do the necessary work. What we thought would take the better part of a day took less than two hours. The install team was polite and respectful of our home. When they left, they gave us an overview of the work they did, asking whether we had any questions. A few days ago, our city inspector told us that the unit was installed perfectly. What more could we ask for?!

Charged $450 for a repair kit EZ Seal you can buy on-line for $50-75. I'm sure I'm paying for the experience.

This company was great from beginning to end. The Sales Rep, Ben was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us so we knew what was to be done and why. The abatement company was friendly, fast and clean. They were very respectful of our home and laid down protectors on the floors to protect the wood. The install team was professional and did A+ quality work. I would highly recommend Standard Plumbing and Heating. Because of the expense of heating/cooling, we decided to look for a new furnace and install an air conditioner. We started out by getting quotes from three different businesses. Each one had a different way of doing things. One company suggested leaving the original duct work and sealing the asbestos on the outside of the duct work. We were fine with this as we were told that we would be safe from the asbestos and this would be a cheaper install. Ben, the Sales Representative for Standard Plumbing brought up many reasons as why to not go with this. It was great to hear from someone else who cared about our safety and to make sure we got the best and would be a happy with it for years to come. He brought up two points. Asbestos and Efficiency. 1.The first issue he brought up is the Asbestos. The gravity furnace we had just allows hot air to float up naturally through the large duct work to slowly heat the room. Because the joints were sealed with asbestos tape, there was no way to tell if tape was pinched inside the duct work. Forced air could possible blow asbestos all throughout the house. Scary thought. 2. The second was the efficiency. Why try to move the air through the original 12?? Diameter duct work and expect the same type efficiency? The Furnace was made to force the air through half that size, to get more air to the places you need it. What is the point of buying an HE Furnace when the duct work would not be considered HE? It made perfect sense. Additionally, he was the only one who noticed that our hot water heater was not being vented properly and did not have a chimney liner. When we had purchased the house two years ago, the house inspector didn?t even notice this. His attention to detail and honesty is what made us choose him over the other companies. I cannot blame the other companies entirely. They were trying to make it less expensive and shorter install time. It is what we were first trying to get by with. After Ben from Standard visited with us, it was clear that we needed to think of our families safety and in the end saving money by having a total HE system. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to Standard Heating.

First when I called Lucy who answered the phone was very helpful I had some coupons from Angie List and she told me how they would apply. She then schedule time for David to come out to fix my air conditioners. He was fantastic, so knowledgeable. Several weeks earlier I had called another Service company NOT Standard Heating and Air Conditioning and had a horrible expensive experience. The guy that came out got crabby with me and left saying I needed to get an electrician and charged me $154 and my air conditioner was still broken. David from Standard Heating and Air conditioning was just the opposite he went to work got it done, I will now only use Standard Heating and Air Conditioning.I have no idea if they are the least expensive but I do know they are the best value.

It is very easy to schedule and appointment, their staff is always polite and engaged. The technician arrived promptly and was courteous and competent. The work went smoothly. I have already had Standard install a high efficiency Furnace in my home. I have found that the level of service they provide to be outstanding. There technicians are all extremely competent. I am happy with this company.

My air-con is not cooling, I called Standard and came to my house and fixed it quickly. Even with a 3hrs window, they came in early and really works well for me. Elliot the technician explained well whats going on. He fixed the problem quickly. That day the temparature is 90 I'm glad I dont have to wait to fixed my air-con. I wont hesitate to refer Standard to my friends and family.

Mark, the salesman, was really good. Very thorough, very knowledgeable. He gave us many options to help us decide if we wanted a partial or full replacement system. We ended up with a top of the line system, but didn't feel pressured to do so. He made a special trip over the weekend to get the paperwork to us and get it scheduled asap, as we had no working air. They had to come out to measure a few days prior, and the office called to let me know exactly what was going to happen and when. The installers came exactly as scheduled, and everything looks beautiful. They took away all the old stuff, and swept and cleaned around the area. They were done ahead of time, and the house was already cooling down when I arrived home. The system is running beautifully, the salesman followed up to see how things were running. We also got a second bid through Centerpoint Energy, and there was no comparison. The salesman gave us no options, and even told us not to get the product we were thinking of purchasing through Standard. The bid was only a few thousand less for a much lesser system.

Our tech, Deacon, does excellent work. He has serviced our equipment several times and keeps it in very good running order.

We've compared with 4-5 different companies that gave us quote, standard heating's prices and services definitely beats every company we've considered. After analyzing all, my husband decided to go with standard heating because the services as well as the quality of the product. We rarely use AC unless the it is way to hot over 85F, but we are looking forward to enjoying the AC during the hot season. We also hope to recommend standard heating to our friends.
