Excellent! Mike the technician was very prompt and very through. He explained all steps of the inspection and gave advice on preventing breakdowns.

Full disclosure: they give $25 to a charity of my choice if I write a review. This is my third furnace maintenance company since we replaced the furnace in 1999. The first one did not inform me that the humidifier was no longer covered, and I went two years sniffling all through the winter because the air was so dry. The second one solemnly told me the furnace was leaking and needed to be replaced. That was in 2014 when the furnace was 15 years old. I decided to look on Angie's List and have someone come out for a second opinion. The guy who came was older and clearly experienced. He pulled out a hose and used a pinky to remove something that was clogging the hose. The extra charge was $25, considerably less than the cost of replacing a furnace. This year, the guys found something porcelain that was wobbly and could be replaced for $150. If it wasn't replaced, the furnace might -- operative word: might -- go out and there would need to be an emergency call. Seriously, did I care to be informed of what it was and whether or not it needed to be replaced? No. I pointed to the Toyota Sienna with 184,000 miles on it in the driveway and said I'd rather pay more along the way for maintenance to prolong the life of the furnace. It took us years to find a good car repair place. I think we may have finally found a good furnace maintenance organization. I gave a B for price because the cost is higher than the cost of the prior furnace maintenance place we used. They may charge more for maintenance, but we did not have to replace our furnace.

Yesterday, we had one of our heating system checks. Our service person (Jeff) discovered a failing capacitor and recommended replacement. We agreed and the part was replaced in short order. Jeff also said that the rest of the system looks in great shape - which always provides peace of mind. We have used Standard Heating since 1999 and have not been disappointed. They are a professional outfit - and their service people have always been courteous and well-trained.

The whole experience with Standard was excellent, from their sales rep. to all the technicians who worked on installing the units. They were prompt, polite, efficient, and actually pleasant to have around. When the work was done I was given a great review of what was done and how to maintain the units. I obtained bids from two other HVAC companies. One was quite a bit higher, and the sales rep. seemed almost disinterested in his job. The other was very similar but slightly higher in price. The Standard sales rep told a great story about the founders and owners of the company, their recycling program, etc. I almost wanted to stand up and clap my hands.

As promised, the technician called to say he would be at our home shortly after 1 p.m. on Oct. 20. He arrived and must have had courses in sales, because in addition to checking out the furnace (and replacing one part that he indicated would fail soon), he also sold us Standard Heating?s Smart Club. (At $19 a month that included both spring and fall checkups, we felt that was a good deal.) The technician was friendly and professional and worked quickly to do the check-up. I would use them again.

The work was well done and the installers were professional. A couple of hiccups with the electric the first day which required the a/c rebate test to be postponed. The electrician was unable to come out until the following day. He relocated a thermostat that looked (and sounded based on the colorful language )like a very tricky job. Old houses like ours are always full of surprises. They didn't charge us for the obvious extra effort it took so I appreciated that. Overall the install went well. My only complaint was when I was told they would call me to reschedule the rebate inspection but after a week and no call I had to do it. I also am unclear about my warranty or maintenance plans they offer when the time comes. It seems like the job was done and that's that. That's my only and extremely minor complaint.

Everything went really well. Friendly and punctual service. He didn't pressure is to sign up for the maintenance plan.

It went really well. I have been neglectful, and had not been taking the time to do an annual furnace turn up. The furnace broke down in September. I scheduled a repair and tuneup visit. I really thought the service person was going to tell me i had murdered my furnace, and it would need to be replaced. He determined what the problem was and after a discussion with me as to the work necessary, he repaired, cleaned and tuned up the furnace. It is working again within two hours and just in time for a Mn winter. The service person was professional and efficient. He arrived when scheduled, letting me know he was on he way about 20 minutes before the appointment time. He cleaned up the area when he was done. I bought my furnace from Standard and Heating 13 years ago. They have a great product, and their service people keep it working. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. In fact, I signed up for their re-occurring service agreement, so my furnace will have the regular service.

What really helped is when he pulled a dirty transformer out of the AC. It was working, but it was badly corroded. He said we don't have to replace it now, but we both could see it would fail sooner than later. I had it replaced and I believe that will save me another service call.

I felt that the person who scheduled my appointment was a bit rude. I requested to see if they could schedule any appointments after 4 since i work most of the days but they could not accommodate this request, i felt that he did not even check the calendar to see if this was possible since his response was very quick. I do not have any complaints about the service technician. He was on time , answered all my questions, called me 45 minutes prior to reaching. Although he did try to sell me on their service plan the same day even though i needed time to think about it.

He fixed the noise and did the tune up. He explained what he was doing. He visited a short time and was on his way to make another customer happy! When I went in to Angie's List to do the survey, I noticed there was a $25 coupon for the tune up. After talking to Standard Heating and Air Conditioning, they immediately said they would credit our account $25. Again they made us happy.

Everything went great. Jeff arrived on schedule and proactively called me to give me his estimated arrival time. The work was thorough, complete with explanation of the fix required. Very pleased.

Joe was very detailed and explained all aspects of he analysis of both systems, including their current condition and recommendations customized for our situation.

Tech showed up on time and was super polite. He went straight to work and noticed a few things that needed to be addressed right away. After he looked at the furnace I asked if he could look at our AC unit and get his opinion on things. He was very helpful and took the time to explain different options for that as well. Will call them for future heating and cooling needs.

Tech and trainee were very professional and completed the work in a timely manner.

It went great. We have used Standard in a previous home and we knew going in that they would do a great job. Highlights are: 1) They knew all of the rebates available, worked that into the final price and managed submitting them all. . 2) They gave many options to allow for price ranges and there were no hidden costs 3) The work was done in one day and done very well with no problems. The system has been installed for a year now and we've had no problems. I recommend Standard to everyone I run into who says they need a new furnace or air conditioner. Our high efficiency system has also saved us a bundle!

It went very smoothly. The installers arrived on time and worked efficiently. They occasionally asked questions during the installation, listened to my answers, and acted on them. Everything was explained to me beforehand. The copper piping was beautifully done. The basement and back entrance were kept clean. Nothing was left lying around. The electrician helped me with the new electronic thermostat. Another installer explained the placement of 3 carbon monoxide monitors and listened to and acted on my preferences. When the primary installer found that the old over flow tank was not securely held in place in the ceiling, he removed it and took it away for no extra charge. A crew also installed a new chimney cover at no extra charge. The installation was competed ahead of schedule. Standard Heating also made it possible for me to have this work done by arranging interest free financing over 25 months. I love this company and will continue to use it for yearly tune ups.

We've had consistently good service from Standard Heating for many years, on the phone and in person. Their service plan with monthly billing is excellent. We get regular reminders when inspections are due. Both the service team and office staff are consistently courteous and helpful.

Everything went well as usual. We were given a 3 hr window and tech called when he was 30 minutes away. He explained what his evaluation showed and explained about the parts wearing out. They did not need to be fixed today, but we just decided to have them replaced. He had the parts in his van so everything was replaced quickly. We had them replace a furnace at a previous house and used them for all maintenance and repairs. We have had such good customer service and advice (multiple trips out at no charge for issue caused by another company) when there were issues that we would never use another company. The cost is always reasonable for repairs/replacement compared to other companies. They send out reminders for the routine maintenance so we keep on a regular schedule. Overall, very pleased with this visit and every time they have come to help us.

They were within the window of time that they gave me. They inspected the furnace, cleaned the filters, and recommended we replace the igniter, which was over 10 years old.

Service was wonderful! They notify me when something is due. They check the system completely, if there's a need to change something they bring it to my attention and get it done promptly. The serviceman was polite, professional, thorough and pleasant.

He found a leak but said his company would not have time to replace the boiler until Nov. He did refer me to another company.

Tech arrived on time. He wore shoe covers to protect the flooring. Performed a thorough inspection. Passed on some preventive recommendations.

Standard Heating & Air Conditioning inspected my furnace and A/C and found it was not receiving power due to the toggle switch being out. The switch was fixed/replaced, but I ended up paying for the service call to come out to review the system and then another $155.00 to pay for the toggle switch and labor for installation - all of which took like 10 minutes.
