This was a standard 14 point annual check up. Jeff, the service tech, listened to everything I had to say and ask and he answered all my questions too. He did it all without making me feel like I was wasting his time or that he just wanted to leave. I don't feel that anyone from thus company would sell me anything I didn't need or want. Or try to sell me something before my current equipment failed. I will stick with Standard Heating for all my HVAC needs.

It took them half an hour or less. I would use them in the future.

Technician called to say was on way and gave approximate arrival time. He was very professional, friendly and courteous. Informed me of what was done and how everything looked after completion.

First off, thanks to the provider for making an immediate appointment to fix my furnace on one of the coldest days of the yea. The repair tech arrived on time (and promptly). He was friendly and professional. He initially couldn't recreate the problem and thought that we had a problem with the type of air filter we were using. However, he quickly heard the noise coming from the furnace that spurred my call and diagnosed it as the fan that forces air throughout the house. He allowed me to return to my at-home job and worked without needing any interaction from me, which was very helpful given how busy my day was. All-in-all, he performed the service with the timeliness and quality I would expect.

Problem fixed even though he couldn't duplicate the grinding noise while he was here (Murphy's Law!). Good explanation of what he suspected, how to deal with it if it isn't fixed and other maintenance he did for the routine inspection like cleaning out the gunk in a little section where condensation drains that can cause future problems.

Went very well. Easy, quick, good feedback and direction from the technician. Would use again!

We suspected that the furnace was getting to its useful end. The tech agreed and suggested that we get a quote on a new unit rather than put more money into a old furnace that could go anytime.

He did a good job, but it did seem expensive.

It went well. Some scheduling issue - when they were available, we weren't. I still think a few days for non-emergency was really good. Very prompt - called ahead and he was able to come a little early. This company is hourly, not commission - so no incentive to sell or bulk up the price. I would use them again and recommend highly. We also got a great Angie's discount for the service call!

Great! We've used Standard for years (new furnace and central air). Their service is always top notch and they are very puntual.

Very well. Jordan was very knowledgeable and did a nice job of explaining what he was doing, how the furnace works and things that may come up in the future. He was also very good with our dogs.

This was routine. The new part was I had a new service person, Jordan, who was a really good guy, just like every staff person I have ever met from Standard Heating, from the time I met the first person, who I called to clean my ancient air conditioner. The system was so old that it had no access for cleaning. We talked it it and the company and the man left with no charge. I was very impressed with how pleased this man was with the company, so a year later, when I decided it was time for a new furnace and AC, I called Std. Heating. Again, I was impressed with the sales person, and all the folks that came for the installation, including a 30 yr. employee who came just to check up on how things were going. I don't think I have ever done business with a company I have been so impressed and pleased with as Standard Heating. They obviously have superior leadership that knows how to hire and train the best people out there.

Perfectly. He called 15minutes in advance, just as planned, and was friendly and professional. I have used this company for the past 16 years and have no plans to change.

Furnace was blowing cold air around. Called Standard at 7:00AM, they were there by 8:00AM. They replaced the ignitor on my Trane XR90. Total cost, with Angie's List discount was $249.

Jeff arrived on time and worked quickly to provide the scheduled service. He also addressed all my questions and did additional troubleshooting to identify an additional concern. In the end he recommended a vent cleaning service which was identified as the root cause for the issue I was having.

We have zone heating and when they left one of them was not heating. It could have let loose because of age, but they fixed that at no charge.

Everything went very well. They were on time, professional, and friendly.

We ended up needing a new furnace. They installed it for us. We were desperate. We didn't compare prices. It was cold and we had no working furnace. We called them because they had such a great Angie's List rating and all these remarks raving about them. We had no working furnace. We were in a desperate situation. So we didn't really have the luxury of getting other recommendations and other bids. It wasn't like they were able to do this immediately. It was cold in the house and we had to wait a good week before they were able to install it. When they came out and determined a new furnace was needed, they sent a salesman out immediately. But, the salesman was basically like, "Well, you don't have any choices. I'll tell you which furnace you'll be getting. You have a choice of the regular model or the deluxe model for $1000 more." That was basically it. We really liked the salesman. But that was pretty much our choice. Based on all the Angie's List ratings and all of that, we went ahead with it. It actually gets a bit more complicated than that. Afterwards they told us, "Okay. You need to have a plumber come out." I guess that makes sense because it has to do with gas lines and plumbers generally handle that. But, why didn't they tell us that before? When we paid them, we assumed that was the whole deal and it was done. Then, they told us, "Okay. Now you need to hire a plumber." We hire Standard and we buy from Standard and then, when people come out for the installation, it's not Standard. It's a sub-contractor. I kind of like to know those kinds of things in advance, who am I hiring and who will be coming. They're not really huge negatives. This is an old house. It's an architect built house. It's not like other houses. It looks like cubes pushed into a slope. The furnace is in the direct center of the house. These days, they're pushing and they actually have a legislation that didn't pass, requiring high-efficiency furnaces, like 90% or over. The problem with that is that there is a good chance that if you get the new 90% efficiency furnace, it can't be vented out your existing chimney, the way the one you have now is. Usually, people's furnaces are on the edge of the house somewhere. So they have to vent it out the side of the house. For instance, I know someone, it was vented out under their dining room. If you're sitting in their dining room, smoke comes up, that looks like the house is on fire. But it's the steam of the vent. Our house is all windows. I didn't want that anywhere. So the answer to that is that we needed to stick with an 80% efficiency, not a 90%. It's still legal. The legislation to force them to be 90, didn't pass. So 80 is a standard thing. That's what we had, 80% efficiency furnace. Of course, ours was 25 years old. That's what we bought from Standard, was an 80% efficiency. The salesman made certain claims about it. That it sounds like it's on all the time, but it actually saves us money. It's really too soon to know if those claims are turning out to be true. I'm suspecting that that is not the case because it seems like the furnace is on all the time. It's the same efficiency rating as the last one, but he told us, "Furnaces have changed in 25 years. You'll find that this one works better in every way than your other one." We also have two zones in the house, meaning, there is an upstairs thermostat and a downstairs thermostat. Downstairs tends to be very cold. Well, downstairs still tends to be very cold.

Generally - went well, I solicited 3 bids and eliminated one and began comparing the remaining two. Price was better with other company, but Standard & Heating compromised. Installation and staff were timely and professionalism. Sales process took longer than anticipated and tried to sell more furnace and a/c than needed. Thank you.

Technican was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything very well and was very patient in answering my questions. He did a through inspection on the furnace and told me about a maintance plan that I felt was a good deal and I signed up for it. I would recommend the company to anyone.
