Description of Work: I used the Big Deal to have Standard Heating inspect our air conditioning system, which they installed 15 years ago and hadn't been serviced since. The expert SH sent was very thorough and determined that our AC was absolutely fine. And I was happy to know that when an AC is initially installed correctly, there are seldom any problems.

Description of Work: They performed a performance tune-up on our air conditioner, and advised us there was a leak in the system. Since our unit was less than 5 years old, the serviceman felt it might be a warranty issue and advised us to contact the original installer who had the records. His honesty was impressive! After contacting the installer, it was found to be a warranty issue that saved us over $1000.

Description of Work: Standard Heating and Air Conditioning installed a new central air-conditioner and a new furnace. They did a good job up front measuring and analyzing the size of units (BTUs) my house needed and a good explanation about the new types of units available, pros and cons. Out of 4 companies that I received estimates from, Standard was the most thorough in terms of determining my actual needs. The price from Standard was not the cheapest but neither was it the most expensive. All services were done professionally and the installers were very friendly and nice to work with.

Description of Work: Greg and Greg installed a 2 head Mitsubishi ductless A/C system in 1 day! I had done a bit of research so I was not too surprised by the price. I was not willing to go bargain hunting for such a major system. I was not sure how much lead time they might need, but I would recommend allowing a couple of weeks. They did a great job! And we got it just in time for the 93 degrees on Monday, July 21.

Description of Work: The sold me a new AC unit, and installed it for me. They pulled all of the permits, and closed all of them except for the electric permit, which you have to handle yourself. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves, which I appreciate. I didn't get to use my unit for the 6 months after install, but it fired right up and has worked beautifully ever since.

Description of Work: This was a Big Deal for $25.00 off any service call. The cost of the Big Deal was for $74.00. We had a clog in an air conditioner and they took care of that and adjusted pipes to prevent it in the future.

Description of Work: I requested bids from four companies regarding replacement of my furnace and AC. Each company provided two choices per manufacture. I chose another company mainly because of price was hundreds of dollars lower for the same equipment than Standard Heating quote. I was disappointed that their estimate wasn't the lowest, since I had purchased over the past 40 years three Furnace & A/C units from Standard Heating (two for my house and one for my son's house) the their works arrived on time and were very professional and courteous.

Description of Work: Initial service was a $99 prepaid furnace checkup purchased via Angie's List; tech was back on 3/4 to replace a failing part which could have resulted in furnace failure during a very cold spell. Standard Heating installed the furnace and I have used them for annual inspections / tune ups since the installation.

Description of Work: I wanted a furnace tune up and also for them to look at it since it was making a funny noise. The wait for a tune up was really long. So I was told they would come out and check the noise, I didn't want the furnace going out with a baby in the house in February. I was told they might have time to do the tune up when they looked at it. All they found was a loose panel making noise. My husband was home when them came, but they never even offered the tune up that I desired. If the tune up was never a possibility, The scheduler should have never suggested it was.
