Description of Work: They installed an Aprilaire humidifier to my furnace. I called for a price at 10:00 and they were available to come at 11:30 and install. Very professional, wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Description of Work: Standard Heating replaced my 23-year old furnace and air conditioning unit with a new Bryant system. The salesperson we worked with, Joe, previously worked with Standard Heating in their repair department, so he definitely knew what he was talking about. The installation was at the same time we were adding onto the house, so they install crew had to coordinate with the builder. They had to get creative in order to route the high-efficiency furnace intake and exhaust properly, but they worked hard to get the pipes installed in the least intrusive way possible. Standard Heating went above and beyond installing the AC compressor in the muddy yard in the rain -- it was a good opportunity for complaints on their part, but they remained professional. They did a great job explaining the furnace/AC features and how to program them with the Wifi thermostat. And, thankfully, they took away the creaky old furnace. The city inspector even commented on how nice of a job they did with the installation. While they weren't the cheapest bid I received for the job, their price was competitive. They were helpful in getting the paperwork sent in for the energy rebates, and I know they were submitted since I've started getting the rebate checks. It was helpful to get a couple of bids for this job in order to know what I was buying, but I'm happy with my decision to use Standard Heating for this job.

Description of Work: Our furnace would not kick in, and Standard Heating & Air sent someone out quickly to take a look at it. He said our circuit board on the furnace was fried and a new one would cost $400. He wired it up to allow us to turn on the blower so it runs constantly as a temporary fix until we get a new furnace or a new circuit board.

The brand they carry is highly rated by consumer's groups and ratings, and the prices Standard offered were competitive: not the highest, but not the lowest. As this is the beginning of the heating season, I can only say 'so far, so good' for the furnace - and will have to wait until next spring to test the a/c. However, Standard has been very responsive to my calls after installation with questions, and all of their technicians have been a pleasure to work with: professional, polite, considerate of keeping my home clean, punctual. So far, I can recommend them without reservation.
