Description of Work: Technician showed up on time and was thorough. I would highly recommend Standard. I have used them for years and will continue to do so. I even added a plan for my A/C tune up for spring.

Description of Work: I had set up an appointment for someone to come out and give an estimate for some ductwork for a basement remodel and potentially a new heating/cooling system. My system is 14 years old so I was contemplating if it would be cost efficient to do it all at the same time. I called and set the appointment and the first they had was about 3 weeks out so I booked it. Then, the day of the appointment I got a call that they needed to cancel the appointment and move it a week and a half later. The night before the rescheduled appointment I got a call from the person that was going to come give an estimate. We chatted and he mentioned that there would be no cost savings in combing the projects, so at that point I asked for just an estimate for the ductwork. His tone changed and I got the impression that he didn’t want to do the work. He asked what my timeline was and I said about 4 months. He said he would need to check with a scheduler and see what the work could be completed. He then called back and said they could do it until about 5 months out. I thought to myself...interesting just beyond my timeline. I still asked for the estimate anyway and he then mentioned that they couldn’t guarantee the timeline... At this point I voiced my annoyance and just asked why they didn’t let me know right away that this work wasn’t something they would be prioritizing (his word not mine). At the end of the day, I’m mostly annoyed at the amount of time I waited to get an estimate that they never ended up giving. I get that not every contractor does all types of work. I have no beef with that. Just say that. Don’t book an appointment and have someone waiting for over a month just to end up essentially saying that’s not the type of work we are performing right now.

Description of Work: THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME WE'VE HIRED STANDARD TO PERFORM WORK FOR US. FIRST THEY INSTALLED CENTRAL AIR. THIS TIME, THEY BROUGHT THE DUCT WORK UP THROUGH THE MAIN LEVEL TO GET HEAT AND AC TO OUR IN PROGRESS ATTIC REMODEL.
