They provided good and timely workmanship. There were some component problems that Kyle handled well. The sales person, Arla, was very price competitive. She returned to our house 3 times to make sure everything was just right.

Frustrated with the company that I had been using, I called Standard Heating & Air Conditioning. The technician corrected a carbon monoxide problem with the furnace for $200 that the other company said would be so expensive that I should think about a new furnace. It turned out that the carbon monoxide emissions were the result of poor workmanship by the other company. I had Standard back in the spring for an ongoing air conditioner problem that the other company had diagnosed as a faulty condenser. The first company replaced the condenser, which was under warranty, but that didn't solve the issue. Standard's technician took care of the problem on the spot for $139.

He found that the heat exchanger was on the verge of needing replacement. He did all the work and found out that it was still under warranty from Lennox. He ordered the part and called me before we closed on the house. It took him and an associate all day and had the job done, he also offered to show me the old heat exchanger. He was very pleasant and professional.

Initially we had set up a couple of estimate appointments with other companies, but after meeting with Arla Frigstad, we decided not to waste any more time to save a couple dollars. She was VERY detailed and answered all our questions. We didn't feel pressured because the quality of the product and Standard Heatings reputation sold itself. The installation went quickly and smoothly.

They were very professional. Came in, did their work, cleaned up and were finished.

I had been told on the phone I could use the Angie's list coupon of 15 dollars for the tune up. Made appointment for the following day. Employee came out and tuned up. He gave me total which did not include the discount. Informed him that I was an Angie's list member and that I was told 15 dollar discount would be applied. he said did I have coupon. Pulled up site while he stood there. The coupon came up and he stated it was only for repairs and this was a tune up. I told him that I had been told when I called and made appointment that the coupon would be honored. He called it in and the fellow he spoke with said no, that it was only repairs not tune up. Paid full amount with no discount. Was not happy with this since I had also bought the A/C unit new for them about three years ago and it was still under warranty and so was a customer of theirs through sales and then they had told me on phone that the coupon would be honored and it wasn't.

Only 1 of 3 companies placing bids that took the time to actually measure the house, understand the layout, and locate all of the returns and air intakes. Also the only one that took the time to go through the company history and explain how they are insured and what that means to the consumer. Did not try to sell me something I didn't need as the other 2 companies were and was patient and thorough in fielding all questions/concerns. Installers were friendly and also were patient and thorough in fielding any questions/concerns.

The scheduler/receptionist was very friendly and got me a same-day slot during a very busy day. The technician, Seth, called me at work to let me know he was on his way, and was patiently waiting when I got home. Seth was excellent - very energetic and knowledgeable. He replaced the thermostat, thoroughly tested it, and explained to me all aspects of the repair and the new thermostat. He offered welcome advice on the condition and maintenance of my HVAC setup, as well as things to keep my eye on (my furnace and AC are 15-18 years old). Very efficient, neat (he put on shoe coverings when working inside my house and completely cleaned the area), and considerate. He put on an enlarged thermostat back plate on the wall, free of charge, when he saw that the new thermostat wouldn't cover the unpainted wall left by the old one.

They did a good job and I would use them again.

My neighbor and I use Standard heating and A/C for spring tune up. Also by buying the package for around $200.00 including the tax you receive a spring A/C tune up a fall furnace tune up and a mid winter furnace check. John was right on time and was very neat and professional. When he was inside the house he wore paper booties over his work boots.

Our old furnace broke down on a Friday. On Saturday morning I checked Angie's List and called Standard. Salesman Brad was at my house by 1:30 and did a clear and detailed presentation of options and costs. Since I had suspicions that the old furnace was on the way out, I had previously gotten bids from other companies. Standard's price was a little higher, but Brad's detailed analysis of our home's heating and cooling needs and his assurance of Standard's professional standards (and no subs!) made this an easy choice. The installers showed up on Tuesday and did a clean and professional job. They were however a little rough getting the old furnace out the door. Apparently they are installers, not movers. Other than that, the quality of work was excellent and the installers were informative and professional.

Very good install, on time, very professional and did a good job.

About a week in a half later Dennis came out with a crew to see how to install the duct work. They came out on the 26th of March to start the work which would take about 5 days. They went into the bathroom, which is where the door to have access to the attic, and the two men said they could not do the job because of asbestos insulation. They called the shop and when they did the walk through they should have seen the asbestos and had it removed before March 26th. I called Dennis and told him that this was a stupid mistake and that for all of the talk about how great standard heating was they had been very unprofessional. I said that they should have gotten up into the attic 2 weeks prior to see what was in the insulation so I could have it removed and now I had to get bids from abatement companies and scheduled them to come out, which cost me more time and money. I had to board my dogs longer then I had expected due to this issue.

Left a message with Carrie in installations. Didnt hear back. Called back the next day and she said they dont do duct work.

They said I should have been told my thermostat options at the time of install, and I was, but the wrong ones. They ended up replacing it, but wanted to charge a service call fee and for the new thermostat. They ended up giving me a basic one for free. They came out promptly and fixed it. No charge.

They were very prompt in arrival and did good work. They gave us well informed advise.

They were on time, courteous, and did the installation. That night I heard a buzzing sound. I went downstairs and turned it off because it was obviously not working. I called the next day to have someone come out the very same day which they did. The technician that came out that day was Seth, he was very professional and courteous and explained to me that the solenoid in the humidifier had malfunctioned. He had the part on his truck and he replaced it and I haven't had any problems with it ever since. He also explained to me how to properly use the humidifier. I would definitely use Standard again. They have been responsive and made sure everything was correct.

They have been working for us for years and are very professional and friendly. This is a great company. They make sure to get the job done right and in a good amount of time. This price was a little higher for the repair as they came in the middle of the night but that was to be expected.

I find them to be very professional. They have up to date equipment and explain what they are doing. They are good about calling for inspections when it is the appropriate time.

Salesperson visited and discussed options, measured heat loss factors, etc. Proposal price was middle of the road and they were able to come down some. Install was smooth, no problems.

I called the general line to get to the emergency answer, as it was after 8:00 pm on a Friday and our furnace was making very loud noises trying to turn on and the house temperature was already down to 60F. The technician called back within one hour and was at the house 1.75 hours later (only a few minutes beyond the time promised). In about an hour, he identified the problem (said he had never seen this issue in his seven years), and replaced the part. He couldnt find the price for the part so charged me the lower amount of the two options. This was nice. This was an after hours repair so there was a $199 trip charge and the price to complete repair was nearly double what it would be during business hours. That seems like a lot of mark up on top of trip charge. The same problem during business hours would have cost about $300 less. My choice was between high prices or potentially having the pipes in the house freeze (much more costly).

I called them to check the furnace because the house wasn't heating. The service man said all five heat exchangers were cracked and recommended we turn the natural-gas furnace off as it was a health hazard. That same day a sale rep performed a detailed "load analysis," counting the registers, returns, and windows, and calculating the square footage. He determined we needed about an 80,000 BTU furnace and he gave us a price. I got a second bid from another company and they priced a similar furnace within $100, but without doing a formal load analysis. I liked the thorough methodology of Standard Heating and went with them. Next day, a three-man crew arrived at 7:30 a.m. By 1 p.m., the furnace was installed and the electrician was showing me how to set the new digital thermostat. The Standard Heating crew was outstanding. I would definitely use them again (Heaven forbid!) and plan to have my annual furnace service through them.

Sent them an email requesting an estimate for a new A/C and furnace. Never heard anything back from them.

Mike, the salesman, came back to my house, once I agreed to the bid, with Mesha who was going to do the installation. They came to check it out and talk through the options like where to put the four vents (two removing air, two blowing air back in). The installation itself took 4-5 hours I think. Mesha and his assistant and the electrician were polite, cleaned up afterward, got the job done. Mesha told me about a problem with repairing the brick where the hole to the outside was. I really appreciated that he told me that was not as well done as he wanted it to be, and that I could call Standard if I was dissatisfied. I looked and could see what he was talking about, but it was sturdy, so I was OK with it.
