They were very courteous and prompt and seemed to be very professional about the entire process.

I visited their website late in the evening. I requested a callback ASAP via their website. I received a call back first thing the next morning and they were here before noon. Service and punctuality were first rate, but such service doesn't come cheap.

The price was good, but we were not happy with the service. The installers were good, but the office staff has little gimmicks that set you up. Not impressed with their business tactics.

This was a horrible experience. My furnace stopped working on a Friday night. I checked Angie's List to see whom to call. Standard had the most positive reports so I called them. They came out on Saturday morning. He stated that if I put in this blower motor they would give me credit for the full cost of the repair on the purchase of a new furnace. They did the whole game where they pretended that this was out of the goodness of their heart, etc. In fact, they charged me double what anyone else would have for an emergency blower motor. Then when I got the estimate, the new furnace after "discounts" was the same price I could get at any other company off the street. I knew they were not going to really give me the full value but I thought they would give me something off. They must have started with the list price. When I voiced my concern I never heard from the salesman again. This experience made me lose faith in repairman and a little in the validity of Angie's List.

Ben stopped by to review the house so that he can have a good idea of what the cost of the project would be. During our conversation he asked if we were speaking with other companies. I gave an honest answer given the 2-part nature of the project removal of old system and installation of the replacement. He said that we were having too many people give us bids: 2 companies to remove the unit, 3 to install the new system 1 of whom did their own removal. He promised to get us an estimate by Wednesday of the following week, needless to say, a couple of reminder calls and a few Wednesdays later, we are still waiting. In my situation, I feel like honesty is not a Ben/Standard heating value. To update what the company commented on "we didn't purchase the home until 8/28/07." The services provided on the date the company mentioned were for the previous homeowner.

Very well. We had lost our air conditioning entirely and they were very prompt and efficient in getting out and doing the repair. We were especially pleased because the weather was about to become very hot again. The young man was also very conscientious about explaining what we could do to maintain the unit and avoid repairs in the future.

Pleased with company and staff. Kelly R. came out and was very thorough in looking over the house (measuring, counting, etc.) to determine proper size. The installer (Matt?) was very prompt and polite. The work was finished in good time and he cleaned up after he was done. The company arranged for the electrician to come and he showed up just as the installation was completed. He was also very courteous and wrapped things up quickly.

The sales representative was very helpful. The installation went well. We are please with our new system.

They gave us a good price. We were happy they came down 1200 in price. The installation was also good.

They did a good job answering my questions about my HVAC units. They seemed very honest about what unit needed what service and what to expect in the future. They explained my humidifier to me as well. I would use them again.

Overall, it was a great experience. The salesman (Brad) met with us during the evening, so I didn't need to take time off work. They were accommodating with changing some duct work that needed to be done to make room for a bathroom remodel in our basement. In the past, we have run our circulating fan on our old furnace all summer long and used the a-c every day to help with seasonal and pollen allergies, at great expense. To test the expense of the fan only, I turned on the old fan on April 1, and ran it all month and the electric bill was $95, with no a-c running. I run the new fan constantly now, and the May bill was $55! (The new furnace was installed April 30, and there were a couple of days of a-c use during May). I'm very pleased with the cost-of-use savings.

They did a great job - they were very responsive. I have used them in the past for other things.

This was a great experience. I had used another company (prior to joining Angie's List) and was very disappointed in their service. I called Standard because the electronic air cleaner was not functioning. I received a service call the next day. David told me what the problem was and how much it would cost to fix it. He also told me some of the problems associated with electronic air cleaners (mostly just that all of the parts are expensive to replace) and mentioned that we could switch over to media filters for a significantly lower cost. My husband and I decided, however, wanted to stick with the electronic air cleaner. The part was ordered and within a few days he was back to install it. After installation he made sure I understood everything, and took the time to talk to me about the system in general (in plain English!). We received great, prompt and professional service. I will definitely use this company again.

Everything was done very professionally. The salesman gave me several options and was very good about answering my questions. He also did a good job of explaining possible financing options. The installation was scheduled promptly and at my convenience. The installers were knowledgeable and efficient. They cleaned up thoroughly. Standard Heating handled all the paperwork for the rebates and tax credits, and gave me clear instructions for handling the city inspection. The new furnace and AC work beautifully and I've already noticed a savings in energy use. The new thermostat is much more accurate as well. Standard may be a little more expensive than some other places, but I feel that I got my money's worth.

Jarod was informative and nice. He found best solution for the PVC piping so it didn't have to run out to the front of the house. The installers were on time, very nice, and cleaned up well. They always had plastic booties on to protect my flooring. Spark Electric that did the thermostat hook up did everything they could to get our Evolution control working properly. Since we had a finished basement they had to cut into the ceiling to get wires through but we felt that the Evolution control was worth the effort. Overall very happy with everything.

The main service guy, "Mike," was outstandingly professional, well-spoken and took extra steps to ensure our house was kept clean. The other serviceman, "Jerry" (possible mistaken recollection), was equally outstanding in his professionalism. There was no charge, no questions asked. The best warranty experience we have ever had.

The sales representative spent over 2 hours (at our request) discussing the work to be done, the company, the products and the procedures and clearly explained where some changes were required to our current set-up. He did a detailed calculation of the size of the equipment needed (which not all of the contractors did). I had created a list of questions to ask in advance and he answered most of them without needing me to ask. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped compare his bid to others. Once we decided to use Standard, they scheduled the work within a few days of our call. They were very neat and clean (despite needed to drill some holes in the wall for exhaust pipes). They were prompt, courteous and thorough. We had no issues with the city inspection after. They handled all the paperwork for the utility rebates as well.

Technician got lost because dispatcher gave right address, wrong city, but once he arrived, he diagnosed and repaired the problem efficiently. He also advised on serviceable life of our system. Price seemed initially high, but he waived certain fees and after using the Angie's List coupon, price was reasonable.

Very, very professional. Starting with Mike, the sales rep (wife liked Mike) to Mike the repair tech to Ken and the crew, everyone was very qualified and professional. The tech/installers put on slip-on shoe covers whenever entering the house. Carpet runners were used during the installation and everything was cleaned up at end of installation. I was VERY impressed with Ken, the main installer for the system. I m very adamant about punctuality and Ken always arrived within seconds of the time he said he would arrive. The integration of the HRV unit was a bit of a challenge due to lots of equipment in a limited space and Ken was very involved in working together for the best fit and solution. Two hearty thumbs up to Ken and Standard Heating!

When I first called Standard the woman who answered the phone asked how old my A/C unit was, and since our system was only 3 years old, she suggested I see if the unit was still under warranty-I thought this was great advice, considering if her idea had worked it would have cost them business! However, it was not, so we called Standard back to have a look. As I mentioned, we ended up having to replace the entire system. I appreciated the speed in which our project was handled, especially on such a hot week! We started on Monday at noon with Jason, the technician, had John out at 9 a.m on Tuesday to order the new unit, finished with Ron and Jeff, the installers, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Thanks, Standard! (Also, I wanted to mention how much I appreciate John being so great with my toddler! He put up with my little guy following him around, calling him the "ABC man", and trying to feed him part of his morning snack. Thanks, John!)

The service they gave me was outstanding!

Their representative was courteous, respectful, followed up with phone calls to see where they were in the bid estimate process. Even though I did not select them, sent me a card to say if you ever need us, call us again in the future.

Fixed a relatively simple electrical problem that we did not detect.

The technician arrived on time as scheduled and stayed until the job was completed. The work took longer than estimated but the work was done well and all systems work as intended.

I'm basically happy with the work and the professionalism but I am not entirely happy. During the initial sales discussion, Jarrod indicated that the line sets would be protected and hidden with a plastic cover. During the installation I asked why the lines were not covered and was told that was a significant extra charge. The electricians left a few scraps in the yard. Two electricians came but only one seemed to do any work. Duct tape to hold the line sets together does not seem like a method that will last the life of the system, even if it is a special "weather resistant" type. The electricians wrote the note for the new breaker on the door of the breaker box but they wrote over the notes for an existing breaker, making that note difficult to read. Two other Standard employees came to my home for no apparent reason. Every time I went to check how the work was going, Chris was reading, talking about unrelated topics, in other words not working.
