I called Standard Heating. They were able to schedule an appointment that afternoon. I was told the service call would be $99 + more for any work done. Seth came. He was very gracious, friendly, kind and sincere when he talked to my mother-in-law. I was very impressed with Seth's cleanliness, efficiency and courteousness.

They did great work and they have been honest and up front with me. I haven't had any problems with them at all. They are very courteous and I would highly recommend them.

My furnace went out on one of the coldest days of the year within three hours of my call the technician was able to come out and replace the switch to get my furnace running again.

Knowledgeable service people, prompt service. Installation people did a nice job and we've been happy with the furnace and air conditioner. Several years later still very responsive to questions and comments.

Outstanding!! Brad did the estimate and he was just great, prompt, knowledgeable, honest, thorough, patient and clear with my questions. I commend him and the installers especially for dealing professionally with my difficult controlling dad (who was present for the estimate and the install). The Feb. '07 install went perfectly; when in June, '07 when I turned on the A/C for the first time and it didn't seem to work, they happily came out at no extra charge to make the adjustments. I strongly endorse this company.

Adam, the installer, was at my door at exactly the time I was told he would be there. He put rugs down as to not drag in dirt and cleaned up after the install was done. He made arrangements for the electrician to come the same day so I would not have to take any additional time off from work.

The bid was routine. They met or beat competing offers. The installation took place on the agreed upon date and it was routine. I was completely satisfied with the job.

Arrived right on time and tried a couple things. Really a nice guy. It ended up being that we did not replace our filters often enough and it burnt out the switch over time, so it had to be replaced. The guy was really friendly and fun. It was kind of funny, because we had just woke up when he arrived and we were talking to him from beneath a ton of blankets on two couches pushed together in the living room (because we used the fireplace overnight), and he acted like it was totally normal. He was super polite and courteous and told us what he was doing every step of the way. Also suggested what kinds of filters to get and what not to get. Price seemed kind of expensive but it's not like we could have fixed it ourselves.

They are reliable and have friendly service, they completed everything they said they would.

They were friendly, and came out to the house promptly. The repairman was courteous, friendly, and did a good job. He had to order a part, informed me when I could expect it to arrive, and gave me a cost range. When the part came in, he came out and replaced it.

Nathan was amazing. He was very professional and very detailed. He was courteous, confident, knowledgeable and provided lots of information. Nathan did an excellent job servicing the furnace and answering all of our questions along the way. He provided historical information about the furnace, how it is normally installed, sold etc. He also went above and beyond by helping us move the water softener drain away from the furnace. Nathan was clearly dedicated to making sure we were more than satisfied and personally took responsibility for the reputations of Standard Heating & Air Conditioning. Also, they provide 2 service visits for the $145 price which is a great value. I would highly recommend this company and Nathan in particular.

The night before before the install they provided me with space heaters since I was without heat. They gave me an Angie's List discount, which was a pleasant since I had not asked, they actually offered it to me. I signed up for their maintenance plan and have a ten year warranty on the new furnace.

They were prompt, professional, and price was decent.

The technician was very smart and knowledgeable and was helpful in answering my questions. He knew his stuff and was very efficient. I am left with the sense that this company invests in training and retaining a talented workforce (an increasingly rare thing these days!) and that is very important to me. I will call this company with pleasure and confidence the next time I am in need of its services.

Highly recommended! The service was completed on time and on budget - there were no surprises. The technician was pleasant, courteous, and efficient. He took the time after the installation to walk me through all of the unit operations to ensure I was 100% satisfied. He was very considerate about wearing protective booties on his feet when he needed to move around the house - you could tell he worked for a company that valued customer service. The humidifier unit does exactly what we hoped, and we are much more comfortable in our home.

Salesperson Kelly answered our questions, did a heat loss calculation to determine the furnace size we needed, and gave some useful information. However, she put her Standard magnet on our ductwork right after arriving. She told us our chimney lacked a liner (not correct) and needed a liner cap (which the city told us is not the case, as we have a "drip T" that was visible on Kelly's visit). She said we needed an additional or enlarged return air duct (the company we chose suggested first seeing how well the furnace worked with existing ductwork) and suggested new higher-efficiency central air conditioning (we preferred to get the remaining use out of our old system). She said furnaces made by a well-respected company (which she gave us to understand was our old furnace's brand, not a brand Standard usually sells) were recalled because "they were KILLING people!" She wrapped up the sales presentation with "Is there any reason you WOULDN'T go with Standard?"

Overall, the project went well. Since we have an old house and we were replacing a combination air/water ("gravity") system with a forced air system, there were some complications along the way, but they were handled well. Mesha did a great job keeping things moving along and checking in with me as things came up requiring decisions. He always listened to my questions and did his best to accommodate our wishes as much as possible. They also made a point of letting us know what was necessary in order to have the system work well when they were done (i.e., actually keep the place warm in the winter and cool in the summer). Our only real complaint was that they didn't mask off areas when they were cutting holes, so we had plaster dust everywhere in the house afterwards. They weren't the cheapest estimate for the job, but they seemed knowledgeable and professional from the outset and sounded like they knew what they were doing -- and that turned out to be the case.

Jarred came out and gave us an estimate. He was honest and did not try to hard sell us like other companies we had come to give us estimates. Standard was not the cheapest estimate but I appreciated their selling approach and after a call to Jarred, they came within a reasonable amount above our lowest estimate. Adam installed the new furnace and A/C and was very professional and polite. There was a part missing when the electricians came out to finish the job. Standard sent someone out so the job could be completed while the electricians were at our house.

The man that came was very professional and prompt. He was very friendly, too. He pointed things out on the furnace to me and explained them. He did the usual testing on the furnace to make sure that it was good to go for the winter. They have payment plans available as well for service plans.

They did a great job and were on time. They were very professional and their price seemed appropriate.

They installed on schedule and did quality work.

The technician fixed the issue in under an hour. He was informative about what the issue was (bad wiring on the time delay of our 10+ year old model). He also gave me information on eventually replacing the A/C along with our furnace (hopefully not for several more years).

The technician was prompt, courteous, and seemed real nice. He wore booties on his shoes to protect our floors.

They were great. The salesman Mike arrived right on time for our appointment. He spent a good deal of time assessing our house to make sure we were getting the correct sized furnace. Much more than other salespeople we'd had in for estimates. He then took plenty of time to explain our options and to answer all of our questions. We found him to be very helpful. On the day of the installation, the crew arrived right on time, spread tarps to protect our flooring and were very friendly. They were open to any questions throughout the day and were done by 3 in the afternoon. They left our basement cleaner than it was when they arrived too! These guys were just great to work with.
