The installation was great, the two guys were courteous, knowledgeable and professional, as were the electricians. They worked hard and took their time to do things correctly. The bid process was a bit more shaky, I think because there are so many products and variables. The original bid was for 9840, the contact shifted to 9915 (due to an error in figuring out the rebates) and the final cost was 10440. The additional cost were for upgrades--a condensate pump and a higher level furnace, which was required for the deluxe thermostat that had originally been offered. In other words, we had a choice about the last two cost increases, but we had to make the decision the day of the install, so things felt a bit overwhelming since we were already spending a lot of money. It's also a bit overwhelming to understand the different products--heat pump vs regular AC, levels of efficiency, service guarantees, venting needs, etc. We got another bid that was much lower, but we decided to go with the quality product that Standard offers and the promise of service to back up the install. At times, it felt like we were comparing apples to oranges and it seems like you would want to go with Standard if you want a quality product and service, recognizing that a higher price that comes along with it.

The sales person was very knowledgeable which was helpful, they helped me figure out which furnace would be best for us and were very low pressure. They were quick efficient and I would highly recommend them.

Ben came over. We told him what we needed. He told us our options. Along the way we discussed heating, and other utilities besides A/C. He knew his business and gave us a lot of great information which has saved us money! Standard Air came in $100 less expensive than HomeSmart but we appreciated the extra info that Ben gave us which helped us make the decision. So we scheduled an installation. The installer showed up on time. He did a great job.(I guess so the A/C is working fine after 2 months!) Ben checked back with us to make sure the installation went OK and asked for feedback!

They showed up on time. They did it exactly how they said they were going to do it. They were very clean. They charged what they estimated. They are a very trustworthy and honest company.

Several heating and A/C contractors came out to give us bids. Standard was the only company that was not high pressure sales and that did not believe we should replace the furnace yet. We were hesitant, because every contractor had told us to replace the furnace as well. So, we had a furnace inspector come out and he verified that we did not need a new furnace. We were very happy with the quality of the work. The installer kept the work area clean and organized. The installation went smoothly and the house is nice and cool!

The unit was disconnected from the wall and sand and bricks were used to level the ground and provide support. The unit was reconnected.

They are very helpful. The one thing I like is that they come out at the beginning of heating season to check on our heater and they do the same for the cooling season. The same guy came each time, which is nice. I recommend them highly.

The overall experience was very good. I will use them again if needed. They were able to come right away, the day after I called. They were speedy especially on a hot day. I got a one year warranty on the repair.

We had already invited another company to bid on providing the new air conditioner and the rep had done a very good job and was clearly knowledgeable. The price was a bit high. We had already invited Standard to come over and bid later. The rep arrived on time and did as good a job as the first rep. We really wanted to compare apples to apples so we were pleased when he offered the same brand of A/C as the first guy had, a model we knew was good from previous research. Like the first rep, the Standard rep explained the difference between the different models within the model, as it were. The main differentiators were parts and labor warranty and noise level. Noise was an important factor for us as our patio is fairly close to the A/C so we selected the quietest model. P&L warranty for 10 years was also important as our old A/C gave up after only 8 years. The price came out close to a thousand dollars lower through Standard, so, given the two bids were offering the exact same thing, we selected the Standard bid. We called the rep and informed him. The rep emailed through all the necessary paperwork, which I signed, scanned in and emailed back the same evening. This enabled installation to take place the next day. The installer showed up on time, was friendly, courteous and professional and did an excellent job. No mess and everything to code first time. One thing in particular was the re-routing of the overflow pipe over the laundry room ceiling to the sink-previously it had been across the floor. This involved installing a pump also. The electrical sub-contractors showed up as planned and the whole thing was completed in well under a day. The A/C immediately started cooling our overheated house and we're very happy with it. It's quiet and efficient. Our experience was excellent in all respects. The company claims they pay great attention to after sales as much as pre-sales. We can't comment on that at this early stage, though there's no reason to doubt what they say.

The sales rep, Justin, was great. He was very helpful and gave many suggestions. The installer did a great job also. He cleaned up after himself.

She was far and away the most thorough. She did a good job in putting together a quote and everything. My experience with her was excellent. She proposed a heat pump which is more expensive but she explained why it would pay itself off. She brought a lot of information.

Yesterday (temp 90+, dewpoint 70+) the A/C was on constantly. Noticed in the afternoon the thermostat showed actual temp not even close to set temp. Checked unit blades not turning, but unit was active (humming). Shut it down and went to Standard's website. I had used them back in 2002 and had a good experience. I signed up for an appt. on line (after hours)- describing the problem. Received a call the next a.m. with info that service tech could be out that afternoon. Mike came out and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in probably 15 minutes. He was very professional, describing the problem along with causes and gave tips on maintaining the unit. Happily honored the on-line coupon. Another exceptional experience with Standard Heating and A/C!

It went very well. They installed it when they said they would. They were very professional and they did good work. They were very friendly when setting up the appointment. They were no problems after the installation, everything went good.

I had a new furnish completely installed with air conditioning also. They were punctual,responsible, and did a great job. However, the price was rather steep but not that bad. I would use this company in the future and refer them to others.

They came in exactly when they said they were going to, they got done with the whole job in one day. I would use them again, and I have already recommended them to many others.

They came out on time and took the time to ask me questions go over things to make sure they could do the best of their abilities to fix the problem. They also told me about ways that I can watch for things and maintain it myself. Very clean and courteous. Would highly recommend to others.

Overall, it was as good of experience as you could expect for having to pay someone $100 because you forgot to flip a switch. The company sent out a service technician the same afternoon that we called. Also, the A/C unit is about 16 years old, but the service technician said everything looked to be in good shape and should last a few years longer. We were pleasantly surprised that the technician didn t try to pressure us at all to buy a new unit. He was very professional and thoroughly explained what he was doing and why.

David H. came out to the house and was very professional and knowledgeable. He actually wore booties on his shoes when he was in my house which was fantastic because all other people that have serviced my house in the last few months had found it OK to track dirt in with their shoes on! I was already impressed with this company. :) He found the issue right away, fixed it, as well as replaced the furnace filter the humidifier filter and a valve that was not working properly. The work was performed quickly with great customer service.

The cost is per year. They are exceedingly friendly and very prompt. They give you a window of time, but they are always on time. Their work is thorough and careful. They are very accommodating, also. I'd missed a service check in the past and they were very helpful to get that taken care of as soon as I was able to.
