I thought there was a leak, but it ended up just being an issue with the filtration system. Fixed in less than an hour. Fantastic job and highly recommended.

6:15AM: despite the AC having been on for 24 hours, I woke up to an 83 degree house. The air blowing out of the vents was not cool. 6:45AM: sent a message to standard via Angies List, the office wasn't yet open 7:49AM: got a call from Standard. The representative I spoke to offered me the Angie's List discount without my having to ask, and said the technician could be at my house between 10:00 and 1:00 today 10:30: The technician arrived at my house, immediately located the problem part, got a replacement part out of his truck and installed it. Within a few minutes, the AC was back up and running and there is nice cool air coming out of all the vents. I wish every service call went like that!

Once we made a decision the whole process went very smoothly from confirming the details with the sales person, the office calling and setting up the installation date. The installer was ontime, completed the installation and answered all our questions.

Good prompt service but price was a little high

We have been customers of Standard since they replaced both our furnaces and A/C units 10 years ago. Every year we purchase the protection plan for both units. Standard sends a card to remind us of the service we are "owed". If I forget to schedule they call us. We are given a 3 hour window and the technician calls 15 minutes before arrival. On arrival we are presented with identification. After putting on shoe covers he performs the required maintenance on all four units, replaces filters as necessary and updates us on the findings. The visits are clean, professional and complete. We are given a report and the visit is finished.

They were excellent. Very friendly. Changed my thermostat batteries for me that I didn't even know were low. Turned on the outside water for me since it was in a tough to reach spot (live in townhouse). Made sure to use booties every time they entered. Made sure they set my thermostat back to correct temp. They donate to charity (get to pick between a few charities) in your name if you take the time to do a review at one of six places which is really cool. Will send me a reminder for the 3rd visit needing to be scheduled.

Everything checked out & no repairs were necessary.

It was done promptly,professionally,l and everything that was promised was done. And done well. From our first call for estimates to the financing, to installation,some troubleshooting, everything went smoothly and as promised. it's working wonderfully! couldn't be happier. installers were knowledgeable, courteous,and cleaned up everything.

Standard arrived at the agreeded upon time and finished the whole job in about 5 hours. Each of the people we talked with were very helpful. I like this company!

For a little over 200.00 a year Standard and Heating performs 2 furnace tune ups and one air conditioning tune up. Recently, Scott did the air conditioning check which included inspection of the condenser and the evaporator. This includes measuring the refrigerant, inspecting fan motor, coil, blower filter, inspect and clears the drain. He hoses down the condenser to make sure there is good air flow.

The person who showed up at my house to "sell" me on a new furnace was very punctual. After that, I could not get the furnace installed in the time period Standard Heating and Air Conditioning had promised. I then contacted Ditter Cooling and Heating who installed my new furnace for less money and on a shorter timetable. I would never use Standard Heating and Air Conditioning for anything.

The installers were excellent and everything seems to be working properly. I have to say I was disappointed with the sales experience, though. My sales person was new to the role (he had been an installer previously). That experience was good in some ways--he was very thorough when measuring. But his attitude wasn't very reassuring or comforting--he told me the choices he made for his house and his family, but I didn't get the sense that he could put himself in my shoes. Even though I'd educated myself, there were options that weren't clear and understandable, and I had to make decisions quickly. The new furnace blower sound is quite a bit louder than my old one, and I wonder if there were other choices that I would have been happier with. I do understand that this was a busy time for furnace installers, but it's also a big long term decision for a homeowner. When he called the office to get me scheduled, but missed out on the last available slot for Friday (our appointment was on a Wednesday at 3pm), he laughed. I didn't appreciate that, especially considering the situation. It meant 4 days using space heaters (and concerns about freezing pipes, etc). I wanted to feel comfortable or confident dealing and communicating with him, but I didn't. Fortunately, the installation went well, but I continue to wonder if I got the best solution for me. I recognize that everyone has to be new to a job sometime, but in a quick turnaround situation like this, I would have appreciated someone more experienced.

Nathan was prompt, pleasant and professional. He did a very complete job in a reasonable amount of time. He let us know exactly where he was in the process, and how things were turning out. He provided us with a complete write-up of everything he did. We had not had the air-conditioner checked for many years, and all our concerns have been resolved due to Nathan's professionalism and his work. We were very satisfied, and would call on Standard Heating and Nathan in the future.

This company had installed a new furnace one year prior, and so I hired them to do an annual tune-up. The technician was prompt, courteous, and efficient. He thoroughly answered my questions about maintaining my furnace. It was another good experience with this company.

The service man, Seth, came at time specified. Found the problem and corrected. Was very professional and polite. Have recommended them to our son.

Standard Heating and Air Conditioning was great. My AC unit was not firing up, and I called and was able to get a technician out within 2 hours. Nathan was wonderful, very knowledgable, and professional. After doing routine maintenance, he noticed that the furnace was leaking water. Rather than coming back at a later time, he spent additional time and diagnosed a dirty coil and was able to clean it right away. Nathan did an excellent job, and I would recommend him and Standard Heating and Air Conditioning for future jobs.

Two days before Christmas, we woke up to a cold house and found that our boiler had completely quit working. We contacted Standard Heating and AC and they sent someone out right away to check the boiler and a**** the repairs needed, as well as bring us space heaters. Standard completed the job two days after the Christmas holiday - which I feel like was a very quick turn around so near a major holiday. The guys who worked on the job were very punctual and polite, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves, and even took the time to show me how the new boiler worked. When I had questions a week later about boiler operation and called them they promptly returned my call and walked me through my query step by step. I would not hesitate to work with Standard Heating and AC again. They are simply the best.

It was great! I forget the guy's name that came out but he was very friendly and helpful. He inspected everything and showed me signs of potential future issues. I'd definitely use them again!

Please stop asking me about this service. I just want the pop up to go away.

One of their techs came out (David) and went outside to look at the A/C unit so I went out there with him because I've had 3 different companies come out to look at it. I didn't want any funny business going on. He unscrewed the back of the unit so I looked back there and he gave me a crazy look and said, "What the h*** do you think you're doing?!" I said: "Excuse me? This is my house, don't talk to me like that"; and as politely as I could, I told him to leave. I called the company up and spoke with Katie the receptionist and she couldn't believe he did that so she transferred me to Tim "the Manager." I told him what happened and he said David told him I was being very rude about the situation. which is simply not true. I told him as nice as I could that he can leave now and that was that. Tim was very condescending to me like I was the one doing something wrong and maybe I shouldn't of looked back there but I don't think that you should talk to someone like that when they're about to spend probably thousands of dollars with your company. I will never call this company again and will definitely not be giving any referrals out. I understand people have bad days or something goes wrong but when I call to complain about a guy and the manager says it's pretty much my fault. THAT I DON'T LIKE!!! I feel as if this whole situation would've been prevented had the tech David spoken to me in a different tone and if his "manager" asked me if I would like a new tech sent out. I told Tim i was going to put a bad review on Angie's list and he said he would put something about me if I did. So here's your chance Tim....

Left message with the company on a Thursday evening to schedule an appointment. They call me first thing in the morning and we scheduled an appointment for 2 days later. I then received a phone saying they could fit me in Saturday morning. Paul showed up right on time, diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly. He was super nice and answered all my questions. I was thrilled to have it fixed and they could not have been nicer. Great service and professional folks all around.

I called standard Heating,& air condition co.,because my humidifier on my furnace wouldn't stop running. Standard Heating came out. He was right on time. It needed a part replaced . He replaced the part & it started working.

From the estimate to the completion of the work, all went very well. I was impressed with Mike Rogers, who was very informative and helpful when determining the estimate. I got estimates from 4 companies, and liked the level of detail and information Standard gave me -- and was doubly pleased when they gave me the best estimate. The workers arrived on time, were very professional and courteous, kept me informed during the work, and all went very smoothly. The A/C works great!

At the time of the inspection, the unit was running, so no problems were detected. The next day, the unit would not run. The technician returned free of charge and found problems with the electronic of the 30 year old air conditioner and recommended replacement. The technician had brand recommendations and arranged a salesperson to provide a quote. A quote was provided for a new air conditioner and furnace. A couple of other companies were contacted for quotes, and another company offered a slightly better package.

Called Standard on Thursday to let them know my new AC unit (less than 1 yr old) was not working. Customer service let me know they could get out to the house the upcoming Monday. Greg arrived on time and knew what the issue was immediately. Knowledable and answered all my questions. Gave an overall grade of B as a result of the 3 business day turn around. I realize its a busy season for AC work, but feel it should have been a priority to fix a $4500 brand new AC that wasn't working.
