We recommend Standard Heating and Air to anyone who asks for heating/AC service providers. They have never failed us - ever. The service technicians who visit us are extremely professional - booties go on their shoes the minute the step into the house, they are efficient, excellent communicators if there are any difficulties or just explaining what they did while they were here. The customer service on the phone is as high a quality as in-person visits. I cannot imagine they would ever disappoint us. (And I appreciate as a north Minneapolis resident that they are a Northside business."

The service rep arrived fairly close to the time scheduled, went down to my furnace area, and spent less than 5 minutes actually looking at my furnace. He performed a CO2 test by opening a waxed hole and placing a meter into the hole, telling me it was at the high end of normal range. I asked the tech to tell me if my furnace needed cleaning; he then took a phone call from another tech for about 15-20 minutes to help out with another issue at an install somewhere. He opened the front of my furnace, snapped it back in place, and said "looks fine to me", and was out of my door. He was at my home for less than 30 minutes, 20 of which was for another customer. I received a phone call from the manager of Standard after my response to their quality questionnaire. The manager told me the tech who was at my home was not customer oriented and by way of apology they would come and do a heater maintenance visit for free by the end of December. It is now January 15, and I have not received a call to schedule that service. It's hard to know what sort of quality work this company does when they don't really look at your equipment, and they don't follow up on their promises. I will not use Standard Heating and AC again--either for my home, or that of my rental property.

These guys are amazing. He was fast, informative, found a way to save me money off the price, and a lot of fun to chat with. He answered all my questions and explained what different parts of the furnace are and what they do. I was so impressed, I signed up for a maintenance plan that costs less than having two tune-ups in a year. Great company, great work!

Everything went great. There were no problems and I am satisfied with the work performed.

Our furnace broke down so had Standard came out for service. They fixed the issues (circuit board / pressure switch) and proactively went above and beyond to make us satisfied. Very happy with how they treated us. As usual, the techs that came out, Tom and Nathan, were professional, courteous and considerate. It is noticed and it makes a difference. Standard really delivered on Customer Service and I won't hesitate to call them again. Thank you.

Seth, the service technician, was very good at explaining the possible reasons for the issue as well as giving us tips on other things that we could do to improve our energy efficiency. He also gave us some ideas on adding supplemental heat to our presently poorly-heated upper floor (we live in a story-and-a-half home). We will call Standard again in the spring for an A/C inspection/tune-up.

The appointment was for between 2 and 5pm, Nathan called just before 2, and was there within half an hour. He did a thorough job investigating what was wrong, explained some things about our furnace system that we didn't know, having just bought the house two years ago. He quickly got the furnace operating, and made a few adjustments when he found that the furnace was not blowing at peak performance. He was informative, and explained the things that were likely to need attention, as well as their cost. He didn't pressure us with a sales pitch or try to set up a sales appt, and explained that while the furnace was over 25 years old and would likely need replacement in the not too distant future, it was in surprisingly good shape for its age. This alone would make us consider Standard for a new furnace. He just said that they had plenty of furnace types and payment options to choose from, and that they would be happy to set up an appoint ment to go over it with us whenever it was convenient. One of us was not home yet while the repairs were being done, and once we were both there, he took the time to explain it all again. He was polite and professional, and we would recommend their service to our friends and family. Much better than we expected for being the coldest week of the year so far.

Having utilized Standard Heating services for a number of years. During one of their routine winter furnace checks they discovered that the furnace was running strangely and was evidently heading for a complete breakdown. Standard Heating personnel walked me through the process of purchasing a new furnace/AC. The installers were punctual and professional . They cleaned up after the work was done. Additional electrical work was needed and they took care of scheduling that. I am totally satisfied with their service and would recommend them to others.

All scheduled Smart Plan visits went smoothly with Deacon & Nathan doing the inspections. Professional, personable and competent. The water on the floor near the furnace was intermittent and when Kyle responded to our call there was NO water to be seen (of course!) but he suggested that it might be related to the blower replacement done in Dec 2013. Bingo! Seth had done the replacement and he came back to find the water coming off the humidifier panel and installed an air baffle to limit the air flow through the water panel.That fixed the problem Yeah! Seth is always interested in doing the best job he can and has a lot of experience to back him up. The final player for the year was Mike who came in Feb.in response to our cry of NO HEAT! He came ASAP, got a very warm welcome from us and fixed the problem (?dirty igniter switch). Calm on both heating and A/C fronts for the remainder of the year! We originally bought a furnace tune-up -- turns out, our ignition was almost shot and the furnace was too old for parts. It could have quit on us in the middle of winter. So, we bit the bullet and replaced it. Standard made the process painless, and everything was coordinated around our schedule. The sales process was not pushy at all. New furnace works great, has already dropped our electric bill, and they're prompt in answering any questions.

Mike D. was prompt, professional, and replaced the ignitor very quickly and efficiently. He was in and out in probably less than 30 minutes. Friendly, explained the problem, fixed it, and left. Very easy and pleasant experience.

He spent considerable time searching for the best deal for us and then quickly installed the new motor. (The furnace is an off-brand and was difficult to find a replacement motor.)

Service was prompt and professional. Mike encouraged me to ask questions during the service call which was very helpful. Mike explained what he was doing and why. At the end of the call Mike showed me features about my thermostat so I can see and track service codes. Very happy with the service received. Thanks.

Furnace tune-up and inspection went very well. Provider was well within quoted 3 hour service window. He called in advance as requested. He was very efficient and clean. Excellent sales experience. They did a thorough job of measuring before delivering an estimate, and didn't try to sell us more than we needed. Prices were excellent and they gave us a decent cash discount. Rebates were filed promptly. Installation guys were prompt, clean, and set us up without any trouble. Would definitely use for future jobs.

They had done the original install of our furnace, so that was part of the reason why I chose them because they would have some record of it, so they were able to verify for me whether any tuneup had ever been done.

They had to come on two different days because they had to run the venting system. It was a pretty complicated job. It was a full day job. They were very professional, they put booties on their feet when they were here, and they were very courteous. I hardly knew they were here.

Went well. Timely and courteous. We are on their annual tune up plan and this has worked out very well. We have not had any major issues with our heating and air conditioning since we started this program. We have been consistently pleased with the service provided.

We were warned at the time of a service call last year that our motor wouldn't last too much longer. We decided to replace it this year. l when we called, Standard Heating arranged to order the new motor and made an appointment to install it. The service man arrived right on time, installed the part quickly and efficiently and left the premises clean and tidy.

Everything went fine! I would recommend them to anyone.
