I cannot thank Standard Heating enough. Our air conditioner stopped working and we were told that we would likely need to get a new one.....so I set up time to have a Standard rep come out to give us a quote on a new machine. That rep came out yesterday, 6/1, and let us know that while she was happy to give us a quote for a new air conditioner, she felt that it was probable that it could be fixed, and set up an appointment for us for this morning. This morning, the repairman came within the first 15 minutes of the allotted 3 hour window, and took about 15 minutes to identify the problem and FIX the air conditioner. It is now working perfectly. I cannot recommend this company enough. A less reputable place could have just told us we needed a new machine and gotten thousands of dollars from us, but we avoided that thanks to ethical behavior and great work from the Standard Heating team. Thank you very much!!! We will definitely be using your services for all our AC/Furnace needs going forward!

Kyle the sales person was very knowledgeable on on the requirements for my furnace and air conditioner. He was very professional and answered all my questions and concerns. No hard sales pressure, just gave me a quote and checked in with me to see how the buying process was going while I was getting other quotes. I went Standard heating because they were local, the price was good and their warranties. The installation group was great. They arrive on time, worked very efficiently and explained everything until I understood. They arrived around 8:00 a.m. and were done by around 2:00 p.m. Cleaned everything and made sure I was happy.

It went very well. The agent was very friendly, and professional. He answered all the questions I asked him.

The service technician (Chris) arrived within the timeframe previously arranged. He spent 20-30 minutes inspecting and tuning up our air conditioner. I appreciated Chris' summary of the inspection and work performed.

Everything went well. The technician was very pleasant, called before he arrived and arrived when he said he would. I really like this service. In the passed they have caught little problems that prevented bigger issues in the future. It gives me confidence that the heating and air conditioning system will function at peak efficiency when needed. Also, since we purchased our system from Standard Heating all of the repairs have been covered by warranty.

The technician came onsite looked at our HVAC system and indicated that because we had a finished basement that there was nothing we could do. I basically paid $99 for someone to go into my basement look around and tell me it wasn't possible. Collect there money and leave. Very disappointing. I would usually expect that a request for an estimate would not have a fee. I will not be using Standard Heating again and I would encourage anyone using the service to make sure you know what you are getting for the cost.

I can't express how much I love this company and their service. Jeff left me a voice mail stating he was on his way. He estimated it would take him 20 minutes to arrive and he nailed it. Right on time. He was very friendly, explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. It was pouring rain and the poor guy had to be outside in it. This is important because it was miserable working conditions, but he never showed it. He was up beat and smiling the entire time. He was very efficient and was in and out in under 20 minutes. This is the same experience I have had ever single time I've had them come out. These guys are just wonderful.

That was fine. I had no dislikes. The price was kind of high. I have to get a warranty. I have to use them again.

This was Joe Slater's second service appointment at our home. Seems technically competent, very articulate with helpful explanations, very personable. It seems he's the best technician Standard has sent to us in 19 years of service. Our 10 year old York AC unit, purchased from and installed by Standard, is still running and performing well. At the same time we purchased a Bryant variable speed high efficiency furnace. We're disappointed that after 10 years the motor is showing signs of wear due to dirt. We use the Honeywell electrostatic filter for allergies. We were not informed that this would not protect the motor from dust and dirt. Over the years we've received conflicting information from technicians about various issues, but have never been without heat. We receive prompt attention whenever we've needed service and are generally pleased with quality and value offered by Standard Heating & AC.

Deacon with Standard Heating called about 15 minutes before he was to arrive at the house and showed up on time. He was exceptionally polite and knew what he was doing. He checked the AC, cleaned off the outside unit, replaced our dirty furnace air filter and scaly humidifier filter. He offered a 3-pack of each of the filters at a little discount which we took him up on. No more driving out to the Standard office to buy one at the last minute...wooo! All in all it went wonderfully and Deacon was great!

Chris was very prompt, courteous, professional, and informative. In the course of his maintenance, he noticed the furnace and water heater weren't properly venting. He recommended have the chimney checked for a blockage, which I will do right away. He also gave me a good tip re: furnace maintenance. All was good to go with the A/C system. This wasn't the first time I have used Standard Heating & A/C, and I will continue to use their services.

The service worked out really well. He got lucky because I was not getting any heat from one of the rooms. The person before me put up a ceiling over the vents that he had stapled on and for years, I have not gotten heat to that room. I said I am going to get heat into that room whether all the ceilings had to be ripped out or not. The first one he picked and took out, there was a little vent and he turned it and it worked. He did a good guess. He kind of knew where the vents were, took a guess, and it was accurate.

Standard showed up about 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time after a phone cal alerting me to the potential of being early. I appreciated the heads-up. Dan completed the required work promptly and cleanly making recommendations along the way.

From the first phone call for scheduling to the end of the service, this company did it right. Dan and Chris called 30 min in advance of their arrival which is extremely helpful. I am new to MN and, therefore, this system and they answered all my questions and explained things really well. Very professional, thorough and all around nice guys. The Smart Club plan is a good value. I would absolutely recommend them and glad I now have my go-to HVAC company!

The staff were very punctual, professional, and efficient. Services provided exceeded expectations. The final product looks fantastic and is reflective of very high quality work.

Communication was terrible. I was told they would have to order a part to fix a furnace. That's understandable. But later when I expressed my annoyance at how long it took to get the thing fixed, they went on about how they're a dealer and if they didn't have it in stock then no one would. The fact that I later confirmed that not to be true is beside the point. The fact is that what I was told would take a day or two to fix ended up taking 3 days. And that's only because I called to check up that the part did arrive. I have no confidence that they would've called me. And even then I was told that they "might" have time the next day! After getting annoyed by that as well, they acted like they were doing me a favor when they bumped me up to first thing in the morning! Throughout the process they literally never called me once. I had to call and pester them every time. What makes matters worse is it was during a cold snap and we rent that house. So I had to keep calling our poor renters and trying to explain to them why it wasn't my fault that they still had no heat! Definitely avoid them!

Great! Arrived within the promised 3-hr window; called when about 20 minutes away as requested. Very friendly and conscientious about covering shoes while working in house. Went through comprehensive checklist to check furnace, venting and humidifier. Also ran air conditioner, checked refrigerant and connections, fan, evaporator, etc. Inspected thermostat. Recommended replacement of furnace filter (we did this). Cost was $54 -- we were also offered option to buy a 3-pack for $48/ea. Recommended replacement of water panel on built in humidifier this time or in the fall. We have used this company and their maintenance plan for many years. We have never had issues with poor service or feeling like they are trying to sell us something we don't need. We subscribe to their monthly service plan where we can pay <$20/month and includes the semi-annual tune ups rather than paying the entire cost just once a year. We have had no major issues with our furnance or air conditioner since we started using this company.
