They came for the estimate when they said they would be there. Always punctual and informative about when they would be coming back (the work spanned four days due to drying time). I'd asked that one "post" that I had dry rocked be kept as square as possible when they did the metal edging due to it being a tie-in for cabinets and the job they did was perfect. There was some unevenness between the old ceiling drywall and the new and they took care of that and it is now unnoticeable. I would not think twice about using them again. No issues and great work.

Workers were prompt on first day, but since Matt was out of the country the first week of work, the work spilled into the following week even though it was to take only 5 days, but it still met our timeframe. Only surprise was that plaster ceiling with sand texture needs painting and we thought it would be similar to popcorn ceiling.

McCloskey Drywall Inc gave us quick estimates and did the job fast and they were pleasant to work with.

They were great. The work was exceptional. They were really good. It was a difficult drywalling job and their normal people were not as good so they actually pulled in a specialist. They realized it was out of their realm and it ended up being a really good job. It was a really big job. The walls were uneven and they were not straight so it was a challenging job. A previous drywaller had done a poor job so there was a lot of teardown and redoing.

I called up for an estimate, giving them a detailed description of the work I wanted completed. I told them what the budget constraints were with the project and that if they couldn't compete, then let's not waste either of our time. They came out to do an estimate and were ridiculously over estimating the project given the scope of work as I explained it and the budget constraints. What was really frustrating is that the estimate they prepared for me didn't even follow the scope of work that I laid out. I ended up going another route to get the work complete. Was I being unrealistic? I don't think so since I work in the construction industry and know what the going rates are. I'm pretty disappointed because they seemed like a good company to work with. Would I discourage other customers from calling them up? Absolutely not ... I would just throw caution to obtain multiple budgets and be very specific in your scope of work. I "might" give them another try for my next project.

I would definitely have him do it again if needed.

McCloskey Drywall were good. They were on time, courteous, professional, and they did a good job.

Called and talked to Matt to get a bid. He came out the next day and bid the job. I had his crew install sound channel in the ceiling, sheetrock, mud, tape, and prime all the walls and ceilings. The guys did a great job. Any questions Matt would e-mail or call. At the end of the day, basement was cleaned up as much as could be expected. The results are great! It really looks good, I will call them for my next drywall project.

I found this company on Angie's, called them for an estimate. I thought the price sounded good, so was of course worried about how good they would be. I had a bedroom that had water damage a year ago. The drywall had been removed 2ft up around the perimeter of the room, closet and into the hallway. Their carpenters got the new sheetrock up in a few hours, and their drywall guy made three trips to do the mud and sanding work. Very efficiently done. I would use them again?the price seemed really reasonable and they did good work.

I called Matt to setup an appointment in advance for an estimate and also sent him an email. He confirmed with an email that he "will be there" on the date. He called a couple minutes before he was to be at the site saying he couldn't get to my house in time. He suggested later that day. He did not show up or call. I called another drywall professional on Angie's list and he responded and now has the job.

I contacted the company via Angie's list to set up a time to take a look at our hallway drywall repair project. Matt was very quick to get back to me- we set up an appt. for Wednesday the 9th at 12:30. I heard back soon after and we adjusted the time to 12:00. The day of the appt, I received a phone call within the hour they were supposed to arrive. Something came up with Matt's other jobs and he had to move the time to later in the day. We set it up for 3pm. I have a young child and I set aside first 12:00 --made sure I was home, waited around, then agreed to a NEW time but then they NEVER called back to say 3pm would not work---3:15, 330, 3:45, 4:00. No phone call to cancel or explain. No email in the subsequent days to apologize. I wasted a huge chunk of my day waiting around for my estimate and it never happened. Unbelievable. I was excited to see the positive reviews about this company but there is NO way I am going to go with a company that doesn't follow thru and keep their word about an estimate.

Not well, went with someone else.

Matt came out to give me the quote. He showed up at the scheduled time and gave me a quote on the spot. The project started on time, finished on time and the price for the project did not change from the quote I was given. Matt?s team did a great job cleaning up after themselves and we were very happy with the work.

He listened to exactly what we needed, and gave an estimate almost immediately with each of the projects itemized as to cost. Seems like he is a responsible small-business owner/operator that will do well for himself because he is willing to work hard and provide quality services. Will be using him again.

After called, quick in getting estimate and job completed. Was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Reasonably priced and did excellent work.

Matt was timely in getting out to look at the work I wanted done, was extremely easy to work with, and very professional. The crew that came out to do the work were equally as professional, timely, and did their best to keep the work site clean and safe. The job was completed on time w/ no surprises or cost overruns. CON: Found out SOUND BREAK doesn't really perform to the manufacturer's standard. Do your reasearch when you attempt to soundproof a large/common area. PROS: Matt's crew did an amazing job. And - Although my neighbor's laminate floor still creates sounds issues, they have rented to a tenant who's as quiet as a librarian and has NO DOG... ;o) I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND McCloskey Drywall. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent job overall. The walls were incredibly smooth. They fixed several framing issues to straighten out framing around ductwork. I requested that they caulk some return vents to prevent air leaking. (This something that my heating/cooling contractor suggested.) Although it is a less frequent request, they gladly caulked the return vents as they put up the drywall. I requested the special mold resistant drywall near a drain and they did that. They also patched some old drywall in the stairwell going to the basement and had been beat up over the years. On the third day, I thought I had caught them accidentally drywalling over an outlet. Turns out that I had insulated over it and they couldn't see it! They graciously removed the piece of drywall so that I could point out where the outlet was and then put it back on. (A big Thanks!) Each day, they came around 7 to 8 a.m. and left by around 5 p.m. They covered the floors going to the basement to reduce the potential for any damage and to make cleanup easier. At the end of the project, they swept and vacuumed the floors and vacuumed out the outlets and light switches. Interestingly enough, the majority of the dust came from hanging the drywall - not the sanding of the mud. They did a great job reducing the dust.
