Great! Very professional team. Matt quickly responds to texts. End result looks good! Matt also fit me in during a very busy time/holidays.

Matt was right on time for the estimate appointment. He was very quick and extremely reasonable with the estimate. They had a couple week lead time which was perfect for me. The crew showed up on the first day and did a great job on the prep-work. They had to make 4 or 5 trips over the week to finish the job but they kept the work space very clean and sealed off the room from all the other rooms. When they were done the ceiling and wall looked amazing. I'd highly recommend them for any drywall job. Since I have an older house they are going to plenty of business from me in the future.

He canceled on our first appointment, and forgot about our second one. Both times he was really apologetic, and I am starting to understand that this is the status quo for contractors, so I wasn't too upset. I didn't hire him because he wanted to cover my whole ceiling in sheetrock. This is after I told him I was on a budget. My ceiling can be patched. It doesn't need an insanely heavy extra layer of stuff. I didn't like the idea of just covering up old water damage either. I did learn one thing from him. He definitely knows what he is doing as far as walls go. He pointed out an issue no one else had noticed. So glad he did, because now I can plan for that to be fixed. I hired someone else to do the work. He was going to patch the ceiling and fix the walls. Gave me a much more doable bid. But he didn't show up either. Now I am hiring a friend.

I had an appointment to look at a minor drywall project for 9 am. I received a text message from the contractor asking if we could meet at 9:30 AM because he was running late upon which I said was fine. 10 AM came and no visit or message from the above contractor so I sent him a message upon which he said let's reschedule. I understand things come up, but my time is worth money as I took time off from work to meet with this contractor. A call the day or evening before would have been appreciated.

Removing popcorn ceilings in this three story home was an incredibly messy job. Matt's guys spent a lot of time taping and sheathing floors and walls to protect the property from the dust and debris. We lived away during this messy process; I can't imagine living through it, since ceiling work was in every room on every floor. The skim coating was done with skill and prowess; overall this decision made a huge difference in the look and feel of the 1905 property. Matt's team restored it to its original dignity! When one small area in the dining room proved problematic--providing less than a perfectly smooth look, they replaced the sheetrock, taped and coated and hit it again with paint. Where aging sheet rock tape disintegrated, they replaced with a superior product. Matt's team really want's the home to look great when they leave. They have a lot of pride in fine workmanship and it shows. I'm so glad I found them!

McCloskey gave us a very fair estimate and worked very hard to fit us in and meet our timeline. The workers were very friendly, and they worked over the holiday weekend while we were out of town to complete the project ahead of their estimated timeline. We were very happy with the service. There were a couple of "tape cracks" that occurred a few weeks later, and they sent someone right out to repair them before we painted. I would definitely use them again.

Finished off 800 sq ft basement. Crew was excellent to work with and very professional. They cleaned up at the end of every day; little to no drywall dust for me to deal with at the end of the project. Outstanding quality of work at good price!

The end results were excellent and the final price was exactly as estimated prior to the project. Matt McCloskey was very responsive and quick to return calls and address questions/concerns. Tom was excellent to work with--very punctual, reliable, and clearly very skilled. Clean up after the project was very thorough. That said, the second floor/laminating project took a lot of micro-managing from our end. The people who hung the drywall on the second floor ceilings were somewhat unreliable (i.e. did not show up once or twice), causing delays. After the dry wall was hung there were a few areas which clearly were uneven or sagging. We wish the men working on the project would have noticed this and addressed the underlying problems with us prior to just throwing up the drywall. After discussion with Matt, these problems were corrected. There were also 1-2 days where work was not completed or calls were not returned due to various peoples' days off. This was not communicated ahead of time leaving us to wonder why no one was working or responding. Of course this would not have been an issue had we simply been aware of the days off ahead of time. All in all, the quality of the work and the price were great. We just wish we would not have had to be so involved in the day-to-day management of the project.

Matt was very responsive and scheduled everything via email, which I appreciated. He was polite and very communicative, keeping me posted on the team's progress. He gives a generous Angie's List member discount. Every member of his crew was on-time, polite and hard-working. One of them even vacuumed up all of the debris/mess WE made when WE did the demolition of the old drywall since "it didn't take me long and I had all of the tools to do it in my truck." A great experience start to finish.

Matt was on vacation the first week of work scheduled and work didn't get completed in that week, but Matt came back from vacation and performed the plaster work himself and completed before we were moving into our house. Matt was on time and his workers were very quick and professional, but it just seemed that no one was managing our project when Matt was away. We were very pleased with the work that this company did for our house.

Everything went great with Matt and team. Matt was responsive to voicemails and flexible with a couple scheduling changes I needed to make. His team did a great job with the install. They showed up on time, completed the work within the agreed upon timeline, and cleaned up well at the end of everyday. I would definitely use them again.

I've used this company several times and they are very responsive via email and got the job done and kept us up to date on the status. I would use them again for sure.

They were very accommodating to our schedule and they did a fine job.

They were quick in giving us the bid but gave us a bid but it was pretty high so we didn't pursue on using their service.

The job took 5 days and 3 workers. My only complaint was the work schedule. The first day Matt (not the owner of the company) arrived late and his partner Juan arrived over an hour later. The bedroom floor and hallway outside the room were papered and taped for protection. Loose plaster was removed and covered with drywall. A new dry walled ceiling was installed and all this was done that first day. The second day the taper and sheet rocker (Jeff) arrived. Jeff spent much of the day putting on the mesh and skim coating. I was told by Matt McCloskey that Jeff would be there after lunch the second day. I finally called Jeff who said he was painting that day and would not be at our house until the next day. The next day we were told by Matt that Jeff would be there at 8am and Jeff arrived after 9am. I know that drying the plaster can change the schedule depending on the heat and humidity. Letting us know when the worker/s are arriving for the next day is helpful so that we can organize our schedules. Matt and the other workers need to connect better with each other on the times the workers will be there each day. Matt, Juan and Jeff were fast and very efficient and made sure to clean up when they were done each day. Jeff cleaned up to my satisfaction and seems quite the perfectionist in doing his job. I think that the walls and ceiling were done very well and once primed looked perfect! I,m excited to start painting. Thanks Matt, Matt, Juan and Jeff

I had a good experience with them! I did not dislike anything about them. They were very prompt and cleaned up after themselves. Also, they were very pleasant when they were at the house.

Great job .... the two employees showed up on time, worked hard, and did everything to perfection. They did an excellent job of cleanup after all the scraping, sanding and such. The ceilings are flat as can be, and we are very pleased with the work!!!!!

I had an excellent experience. They were timely in both reviewing the project and when they did the work. They did everything they said they would within the timeline they agreed to. And they were on budget. Quality of work looks very good. They were very communicative throughout the week long project and took extra care in covering all passage ways to the room. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves when finished. And they finished on time.

Mat was great to deal with--very responsive. Cory did an excellent job. Our kitchen ceiling is smooth and flawless, and the texturing that was applied to the walls matches the existing texture very well.

They are fantastic. I haven't hired them yet, but I will be. They were very professional. He's actually friends with the guy down the street for me, and I was happy with his quote and everything. I met with them about a month ago, and they were prompt and showed up. I think the quote was reasonable. They met me at the house, walked through with them, he put the quote together right away for me, actually sitting right there, came with a nice folder, and he was done. It was great. He was very honest, on time, and just answered any of my questions right there.

McCloskey Drywall Inc did excellent work. They were very prompt, got right on the job and did a fast job. I don't have any complaints and the price was good.

The work was done in a timely manner and was very expert. A couple small bubbles arose in the plaster and Matt sent someone immediately to take care of it, no extra charge, so that we could meet our painting schedule. The end result is a smooth and beautiful ceilling.

I have used McCloskey Drywall in the past (about three years ago) for a larger project (part of a kitchen renovation), so I did not hesitate to call Matt again when I wanted a new ceiling installed in my lower level. Matt is always professional, very easy to communicate with, and is responsive to my requests and questions. The job was finished on time, and very neatly--all mess was cleaned up. The ceiling is perfect and ties into the sheetrock walls perfectly. I was pleased three years ago, and Matt continues to exceed my expectations to this day. His prices are competitive, and the services provided are well worth the cost.
