AMAZING EXPERIENCE WITH MATHIDA! On 6/17/21 I had the greatest experience at the HOM Furniture/Gabberts location at Little Canada! This is the first time I can confess that I had FUN furniture shopping! As I walked into the store, I was expecting to be bombarded and have salespeople following me around (like a majority of my experiences). However, I was warmly greeted by Mathilda. I quickly told her that I was looking for a living room set and that I would find her when it was time. She was so bubbly and full of friendliness that I abandoned my “I’ll find it on my own” attitude to seeing what was possible with Mathilda. Mathilda asked great questions to determine what I was really looking for and took the time to guide me through the store. She knew that I was frustrated with an experience with another chain so she did some research as I continued to look. By the time she returned, she had prepare some recommendations of sets I should look at. All of the choices checked off a majority of the things I wanted AND she had already checked to see if they were in stock and availability for the delivery date I chose. Mathilda found me a set that was PERFECT and found me a great deal on a TV console that fit the set like a glove. She worked with her manager (who was equally delightful) to waive delivery (since I already had a date for a dining room buffet purchased a week prior) and gave me a nice discount on the TV console since the manufacturer is no longer making that particular model. We have always purchased furniture from HOM and have more to get for our new home once we move. I will definitely be back to visit Mathilda soon. She made the experience the best I’ve ever had (I’m 50-something and have shopped a lot for furniture) and her personality, presence, and her care and compassion, has forever won my business with HOM forever! If you are looking for an over-the-top experience in the somewhat painful furniture shopping experience, make the trip to the HOM Furniture store at the Dock 86 facility and ask for Mathilda. You will not be disappointed! If a leader at HOM Furniture reads this, PLEASE recognize Mathilda for providing an exceptional and fun experience. Everything went smoothly. The whole process was easy. The couch we ordered was 117' (pretty large) and they were able to get it into my living room with only a few difficulties.

We have been to HOM Furniture many times over the years. Mostly just to look and eat a free cookie or two, with our kids. They have large stores with good selection and generally easy to get to near freeways. For the past year, we had been casually looking for bunk beds for our boys, but at this time were ready to buy. We were staging our house to sell and wanted something that was presentable. The boys had grown out of their youth beds and we thought bunk beds would create more floor space in their room. HOM had quite a few choices, but the one we picked was very sturdy and in the basic style we liked. I believe that set was on sale. We had to buy mattresses separately, but the total only came to $1000. We thought that was a reasonable price, given the quality of the total package. They delivered the beds and did a good job putting it together. The only negative I would say was our salesperson was nice, but not the best. We had asked about the some kind of caps for the posts, because we knew we would put the beds in separate rooms and wanted to fill the holes on top of the bed posts. She had quite a bit of trouble coming up with an answer in the store and with calls to the store later. I think we to buy some dowels at a hardware store. She got through the transaction with us, but got confused on a lot of things and she had trouble ringing through the transatction. Maybe it was the printer or computer. So either they need better training or better systems. In this day and age, you would think sales staff could all carry ipads with everything they need.
I would definitely shop there again.

They have been easy to deal with ad found items we needed at prices we could afford.They went out of their way to help with an item I had to move that I had purchased at least 5 years before.

It is a nice store. They were courteous and helpful. Their price was as good as you can find for that product.

Sales and delivery were very professional - no pressure. Allowed us to take our time deciding which product we wanted.

I have always been very happy with their services. Their products are fine, and if a product isn't exactly as I like it, they will exchange it right away. Their price is about average. I am extremely pleased with them. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They have a designer that came up with a perfect match for the furniture. The fabric that we wanted needed to be manufactured, it wasn't in stock. As soon as I get the basement cleaned up they will deliver the furniture. As long as it the right color, we will be happy.

HOM Furniture in Coon Rapids was running a special on area rugs--- Buy 1 get 1 Free. Minoo, the sales person in the World Rug department was wonderful in helping me coordinate shapes, colors and styles of rugs to replace those lost in the fire. Due to the sale, I was able to replace all the area rugs lost in the fire, plus get a few more for the rest of the house. I also purchased some fabulous rug pads -- two sided for use on hardwood floors or carpet. We enjoy our area rugs immensely. The service provided by Hom Furniture was great.

My experiences at Hom Furniture have always been good. One time I had them put on a new fabric, and they called me when it was ready so I could come in to get it. They always have great sales and I will definitely use them again.

Found bed we liked on their Web page. Took copy and went down to see. Gave to first sales person that came by. He showed us the bed and how it was put together. We were in and out 30 minutes with no high pressure to buy anything else. They delivered and set up on time with no problems.

I NEEDED A NEW MATTRESS AND SHOPPED AROUND AND LIKED THE QUALITY I FOUND AT HOM. I ALSO LIKED THE NO-PRESSURE, HELPFUL APPROACH TO SALES. I EVEN BROUGHT MY PILLOW AND SPENT TIME IN THE BEDS BECAUSE I HAVE A HEALTH PROBLEM THAT MAKES MATTRESS SELECTION CRITICAL. I CHOSE A HIGH-END MATTRESS THAT DIDN'T WORK WELL FOR ME AND HAD TO EXCHANGE. SHERYLE, WHO I WORKED WITH, SUGGESTED I BRING IN THE FOAM TOPPER I USE AT HOME AND REALLY SPEND TIME IN THE MATTRESSES I WAS CONSIDERING. I SPENT AN HOUR IN EACH BED, AND THEY MADE ME FEEL WELCOME AND NOT SILLY FOR DOING SO. THAT HELPED, AND I ENDED UP WITH A MATTRESS THAT WORKS. MY ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT IS THAT YOU GET STORE CREDIT RATHER THAN A REFUND IF THE EXCHANGE IS FOR A LESS EXPENSIVE MATTRESS. HOWEVER, I KNEW THAT WHEN I BOUGHT, AND THEY HAVE LOTS OF OTHER FURNITURE I LIKE. THE QUALITY OF THEIR HELP WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN OTHER STORES, TOO. ONE STORE TEASED ME FOR BRINGING A PILLOW AND THE GUY KEPT MENTIONING HIS COMMISSION.

LOOKED IN THE ''REGULAR'' PART OF THE STORE and FOUND A SOFA and LIKED. I WENT BACK TO THE CLEARANCE CENTER and FOUND THE SAME SOFA and A MATCHING CHAIR (IN A DIFFERENT COLOR FABRIC) FOR LESS THAN THE COST OF THE SOFA ALONE IN THE FRONT OF THE STORE. THE SALES PERSON IN THE CLEARANCE CENTER (DENICE) WAS VERY HELPFUL and FRIENDLY - TALKING WITH HER WAS LIKE TALKING TO A FRIEND. ABOUT A WEEK AFTER MY PURCHASE I RECEIVED AN EMAIL SURVEY, WHICH I COMPLETED. I RECEIVED A PERSONAL EMAIL REPLY FROM THE SALES MANAGER THANKING ME FOR MY FEEDBACK, and GIVING ME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING MY INITIAL COMMENTS. BASESD ON THIS SINGLE EXPERIENCE (BOTH BEFORE and AFTER MY PURCHASE) I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN TO THIS STORE WHEN IN NEED OF FURNITURE.
