My car was being very temperamental about starting, especially in the cold, and as winter dragged on, no amount of charging it up seemed to be enough to guarantee that my car would start. I got all the connections cleaned up and tightened up. Friends suggested it could be the alternator, the wiring, the starter, or just the final blow in the slow death of my car. I brought it to Frenz hoping they could figure out what it was before I decided whether or not to keep driving the car and they called me and said I needed a new battery. My battery was only two years old so I had not thought that could be the problem but they insisted it was and rather than monkey with the battery myself (or with my Dad) and save a hundred bucks, I told them to just go ahead and install a new one. My car didn't even so much as hiccup after that. It was worth every penny.

They tell us the truth about the repairs that need to be made and let us know if we really need to have them or not. If it is a financial situation, they will look for parts to meet your needs. We really love them.

I discussed with Frenz the list I received from the other shop. They rechecked the items on the list. They described to me that several of the items on the list did not appear to require the need to change yet and in fact one of the items was in quite good shape, the serpentine belt which would have been quite expensive to replace. So, I authorized the struts and the repair was done and my car has run quite well...smoother since the repair. I was glad to get a second opinion! It save me a lot of money.

Frenz is my go-to car repair place. I've gone to Frenz for years, and I know I can trust them to tell me exactly what's wrong - or even when something could be put off for awhile or even doesn't need to be fixed at all! It's so refreshing not to feel like you're getting taken for a ride when you bring your car in for service. Frenz never tries to tell me a dubious laundry list of other things I and quot;really should have doneand quot; like other places do - they simply diagnose the problem and help me figure out the most economical way to fix it. I drive older cars (currently a 130,000+ Subaru) and I know the guys at Frenz will help me nurse along my older vehicle so I can get the most mileage possible out of it. Their name is and quot;Frenz Brake Serviceand quot; but I go to them for everything from my regular oil changes to brakes to when my car is making a funny new noise! :) They have always been able to either fix it or tell me it's nothing to worry about.

I have never had anything less than an impressive experience here. From Rick to everyone on the staff, these guys know what they are talking about and are respectful, kind and honest - totally amazing in the car repair world!!

Frenz Brakes is honest and does great work. Prices were more than reasonable. They worked with me to get something to drive while the work was being done. The work was done when they said it would be, for the price quoted. They didn't do anything unnecessary, but they did point out safety issues that I didn't know about. Frenz Brakes is a wonderful shop. I recomend them without hesitation.

As usual when I finally go in for an oil change, I had noticed something that might be wrong in addition to needing the oil changed. This time it was a strong gasoline odor. When I picked up the car, the serviceman said that he noticed the odor and took a look under the car to see what was causing it and I have a small leak in my gas tank. He said that it isn't too dangerous to drive right now and the repair would be $400-500. Then, bless him, he advised me to seriously consider whether or not the car is worth repairing at this point. I considered and it isn't. They will be seeing a different car when I come in for my next oil change.

I dealt with Rick and Joseph they were both really nice. They explained things really well without being condescending. They went above and beyond. They were very reasonably priced.

Around noon I took my car in for an oil change, and I knew something was wrong with the heater. As they moved the car into position for service, the technician noticed my brakes making a horrible sound (which they did, and I was in denial about it). He took a look and saw that I had no front brake pads left and the cables were cracked. Before he did any more work, he called me and explained what he saw and told me how much it would cost to do the repairs. I reluctantly agreed to the repairs (my reluctance was about the money, not about doubting that it needed repairs). They did all the work on my car before five o'clock and he showed me the defunct brakes and cable so I could see for myself. The total bill was about 50 dollars less than estimated (the replacement fan cost less than estimated and I got the discounted oil change because I had more than $100 worth of work done at the same time). It's nice to have the heat working in the car and it's a lot quieter since they fixed the brakes!

Dropped car off morning of day one. Received estimate call early afternoon. I was told what needed to be repaired and what would last a while longer. I decided to have all the necessary and not so necessary work done. The car, as promised, was ready the morning of day two. The total cost was less than I had anticipated and the work was done well.

Barry, Rick and the entire staff at Frenz are amazing. We've been using them for years now and I would never go anywhere else. They are honest and fair. If they only do something small, (i.e. add clutch fluid) they have never charged us for it. There is no flashy waiting room or amenities; just good, honest car repair.

THEY ARE VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD WITH PRICE, TIME, AND SCHEDULING. THE PRICE IS ALWAYS REASONABLE (I DON'T RECALL EXACTLY WHAT THEY HAVE CHARGED). I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEIR WORKMANSHIP. THEY HAVE ALWAYS HAD MY CAR READY WITHIN 24-48 HRS.
