I did a search on Angie's list and got several bids on the job. Everyone was totally professional and conscientious from the start. The price was a fair one, they showed up on time, and I was impressed with the thoroughness and care from each of the workers on their team. They left everything clean (even the street!) and were very pleasant to deal with. I would not hesitate to use Earth Wizards again.

We got an estimate from Shelie a few days after submitting the request through Angie's list, she was very professional, punctual, and likeable. It just so happened that my wife and I had "no" idea what it would cost for an 1 1/2 of asphalt to be laid on top of our existing driveway. Needleass to say we were shocked, but that's not to say that she was high, we just had no idea. Contacted the company twice--once through the email option on their site and again through Angie's List. No response was received to either email. I know I could have called them but if you have a provision to be contacted by email, then a good service provider will make sure that they respond when contacted that way. Finally got the job (approximately $30,000) done by one of the many other companies with good reviews on Angie's that actually bothered to get back to me.

They did the work extremely well. The contact person?s name was Shelly. We were dealing with two owners, me and my neighbor because we share the driveway. She also contacted them if they had any concerns because they had timbers lining the driveway. They took them out and replaced them. They were very satisfied with their service. I would use them in the future.

Overall, the experience went well. They did a good job. I received other estimates from other companies, and their price was good. They were willing to work with our inspector along with any minor changes to the plans that might've occurred during the project. They were also extremely punctual and very customer-oriented. I'm happy with their services.

Extremely well. We chose them because they rated so highly on Angie's List. They deserve the high marks. They listened to what we wanted, they asked questions, & they gave sage advice. They very responsive and very personable. We would recommend them without reservation.

Very professional and prompt on getting bids and responsiveness to questions. Ultimately chose another asphalt driveway supplier due to price, which was close.

Shelly came out to bid the project and was very knowledgeable and professional. The crew was there exactly when Shelly said they would be and performed all work exactly as Shelly indicated they would. The quality level of the work was excellent and every thing that I expected.

The driveway was removed as scheduled, but the final surfacing was delayed several days due to rain. (No fault of Earth Wizards!) Everything was delivered as promised, and I was especially pleased with the nice job the workers did in filling in the asphalt/dirt edging against the lawn. Throughout, Shelly, the sales rep, was great in communicating and managing our expectations.

Shelly came out for estimate - a totally competent company rep.. Offered suggestions, listened to my ideas, and incorporated them into the proposal. Crew came out, on time, worked very efficiently, and performed the task exactly as promised. Job was clean and professional. The workers were pros and new exactly the process and performed as well as anyone could expect - a class act!! I am perfectly satisfied and would hire them again in a heartbeat. What a great contractor!!

Shelly, the estimator came shortly after we set up an appointment and she was on time. She measured and examined the drive and walked us through it giving us some options along with her opinion on what those options would mean in terms of looks,cost, and life of the completed job. This was helpful since it gave us an idea of what the options would cost and how viable they were. Shelly then gave us an estimate for what we decided to do and explained what the estimate included and what might go wrong that could impact the accuracy of the estimate--like clay which we found. The actual job went well,but took a little longer than expected because of the clay. They had to dig it out, put down fabric, and fill and pack in new base. Then they wanted to let that harden for a week. We could still drive on it but it was a necessary delay. The amount of equipment, and number of workers was a surprise as well as just the physical volume of base and asphalt. The workers were all polite and professional. They spent a significant time making sure the driveway was graded to control water flow away from the house and step and that the edges were compacted and neat. In the end, they cleaned everything up and the driveway looks like new. Seriously, they did a very good job and I would recommend them to anyone. There are lots of good reasons why this company is rated very highly by the users of Angie's List.

Very responsive. The job from bid to completion went without a hitch. The bid was very competative and considerably less than some. The completed driveway looks great. Really liked working with this company.

We chose "Earth Wizards" after considering three other companies, because they had an "A" rating and we liked the fact that they were a 'woman run company'. In retrospect, we made the wrong choice! Their estimate of $4,000 was comparable to other companies. We thought that $4,000 not only would include a new asphalt driveway, but, also, "customer satisfaction" on completion of the job...which we never got. Their initial contacts were friendly and professional. They went out of their way in the beginning to say "call with any questions or concerns". They were prompt in doing the work, but not in responding to our complaints and concerns over their POOR job. The person rolling out the asphalt mixed a bunch of pebbles/dirt into the asphalt and consequently left large, unsightly streaks down the entire middle of the driveway. It wasn't a $4,000 completed job and we asked "for them to make it right". When we complained, it took days before they sent someone out to look at it and then more days to decide what to do. They tried power washing, but that only seemed to dig up some of the pebbles and the streaks are still visible. After weeks of going back and forth (and we were the ones calling them) we said we would withhold $400 and they could come back in the spring and put a seal-coat on and "make it right". They told us they weren't interested in working with us anymore, they would not be back to do the seal-coat and they wanted to "settle with us" by decreasing our amount owed by $400. We now must wait a year to put a seal-coat on (the driveway has to 'cure') to cover their mistake and are left with finding another reliable company to do it. We have always been happy with our selections from "Angie's List" until we hired "Earth Wizards"! We are very disappointed with "Earth Wizards" work and would never recommend them to anyone.

I had about 6 competing estimates from companies and one of them did not come out. Shelly of Earth Wizards was extremely knowledgeable and she really impressed me. She was so pleasant and easy to work with and she was straightforward and made tons of suggestions and educated us very well. She is a real asset to the company. The construction crew was excellent. They were extremely impressive! They would be hard to follow. They worked well together and did a quality job. They did more than they estimated. We ran into a couple of challenges and they came up with suggestions The finished product is beautiful and it has been a real enhancement to our property. We have had many compliments from our neighbors and have referred them to others.

I called Earthwizards on 3-23-2010 to get some information on having my driveway sealed. I was told someone would call me back to set up an appointment in the next few days. Never got a call back.

Everything went well. Shelly was on time and has even called us back, but we are still waiting for another quote.

Shelly was great to work with and was always available for questions. She explained everything very thoroughly during the estimate and made sure I knew what was happening at all phases of the project. The workers kept the site clean and left it clean. Final price was higher than original quote due to poor soil conditions (high clay content) that required additional base material and landscape fabric. Shelly notified me of the possibility of additional costs before they started.

Earth Wizards representative Shelly was very responsive to an email inquiry and came out to do the estimate exactly when she said she would. She gave us hints and information that another contractor did not. So, even though their bid was a lot higher, she was willing to compromise and come up with a new bid. Still higher, but we were impressed with her competency and advice. The work crew did an excellent job of removing the old driveway and prepping for the new one. Bad weather delayed installation of the new driveway but, when a window of opportunity presented itself, they took it. The new driveway was installed quickly and professionally. Surely, one cannot ask for more.

Everything was fine and I have no complaints. We got a couple of estimates and their's was good.

They gave us an estimate. They were very punctual and very good at the communication. They showed up on time and did the job on time. We are very happy with their services.

We chose them mainly because of their high rating on Angie's List and because their sales person, Shelly, was very good at listening to details. For example, I told her I work at night and sleep late so it would be best to call me after 11. She was respectful of the fact that I do have to sleep. The other person I contacted for an estimate called me at 8 a.m. Even though I think that person's work would have still been nice, I thought that if Earth Wizards were respectful of me then they would treat my driveway the same way. Shelly called me back within an hour when I called late on a Friday afternoon. I told her the best time to talk with my husband was on a Saturday and she was ale to fit me in the next day, I expected it to be later in the next week. I was impressed with this. Originally, I thought the estimate was a little high and they were able to come down with the price and match the other company. Everything that they promised got done and the quality of the work was great. If I needed work like this in the future they are the first ones I would call.

We have to wait till the next week for the weather to get better, as it takes at least 5 to 7 days to dry after the asphalt has been applied. We are very happy with their work so far and they did a wonderful work. They pay attention to detail from the very beginning. They were very careful when they came to remove all the old stuff about 2 days ago. They paid great attention as the irrigation system is close to the area where we want the work to be done. We were very impressed and have been happy so far. They are very responsive. There is always someone to answer the call and we always get a quick response. There were 3 companies that gave us an estimate and eventually we decided to go with Earth Wizards. The price that they have charged is average. We also considered the warranty that was offered to us, but the price quotes that we got were more or less the same. We will use their services in the future as well.
