I wanted to get two walls knocked out in my kitchen and a breakfast bar put in. They called me a couple of days after I called them and said that they had too much work and my job was too small. It was nice of them to let me know and it can be a problem finding someone when your job is not very big. For me it was big but for kitchen companies it wasn't.

Sean, the gentleman with whom we dealt, was great, and he really listened to my wife and I when we described what we wanted out of the kitchen remodel. Furthermore, he did a good job of providing us with creative as well as cost-effective options, he was always available by email if we had any questions or concerns, and he was professional and courteous when dealing with us. Unfortunately, we couldn't go through with the remodel due to financial constraints, but we would definitely use him in the future once we're in a position to do so.

They were awesome. Some of the plumbers ended up having to come out multiple times to fix little things. They had some starting people. They fix things but it wasn't like it was horrible, it's just they had to be around again for someone to show up and fix the sink or whatever. The tile guys that they had were actually really quite good. I really liked them a lot. They were 2 brothers who did the tile and they worked extra hours and did just a perfect job with putting the tile. We put in extras like we put in an oversize shower, floors, natural trade cabinets and granite counter. Overall, it went really well. They accommodated our schedules upfront which is nice 'cause they did all the demo while we were on vacation. The rest of it were waiting for the granite to be cut, waiting for the glass to cut and waiting for the parts to arrive. They did some start but that's fairly typical because they can't do the glass until they get the granite in. It was awesome. Now, it's like I wanna do parts of the rest of the house. It was a fair price but it wasn't cheap. I like to have people that are gonna do a good job upfront and not have to continuously going back. I would give them a B on punctuality because some were really excellent and some were not so excellent. I'm already having plan on having to do the main bath

I've worked with a number of contractors over the past year, and Ohana Construction was by far the best. Ryan and Maggie gutted and redid a bathroom on the third floor of my 1880's condo. Their bid was in the same range as the others I received on the project, and they did a fantastic job throughout the process, from helping me choose materials when I was indecisive to helping evaluate some unexpected problems with the structure of the building we discovered during demo. The subcontractors were generally polite and did not make any more mess than was necessary under the circumstances. Ohana maintained an online calendar showing when each subcontractor would be there, which I found helpful. Ryan and Maggie always responded to phone calls or e-mails within a business day. I found them responsive and easy to work with, and the finished product looks great.

Ryan came over to the condo and met with us. It was truly amazing as to the amount of detail he got in the short amount of time that we spent going over what we wanted to have done in our home. He followed up when promised with an extensive and very detailed list of what they would do for us. He went over it with us line by line. He answered all questions and explained the process and why each thing was on the list. There was no doubt that the quality would be exceptional and that his attention to detail would surpass our expectations. In the end, we couldn't pay for the perfection that he would provide.

There were a couple of schedule bobbles but everything was done in a reasonable time and the results are awesome!

Good, very nice to work with. Set us up with a temporary kitchen. Stayed within budget and very close to schedule, just a couple small items to wrap up at the end (that took awhile to resolve). Very responsive through the first 2/3 of project, less so towards the end. Will use them again in the future. Very well organized.

I did not end up hiring them for the kitchen remodel because I found a better price for the remodel and could use all sustainable materials.

The guy was friendly enough, but clearly wanted to go higher end and do more work than we wanted. I was disappointed because I had seen great reviews of effective remodels that would have fit our budget, but as soon as he discovered that we didn't need, for example, granite countertops, he quickly lost interest. I indicated that we might use them in the future based upon what we've seen here as high quality work and reasonable costs.

They did a great job! Their attention to detail and personal involvement every step of the way meant a lot to us. The job was completed in the time they said it would. The people they had working for them were not only competent, but courteous and clean as well. Ryan and Maggie were very helpful in helping to design the final project. We are very glad we had them do our remodel.

Ohana removed the old ledger board from the house, installed a new one, framed and built a deck using Azek decking and aluminum railing. From the start Ryan and Maggie Sewell (owners) were professional, knowledgeable, competent, capable, and engaging. I was GREATLY impressed by Ryan's demeanor, attention to detail, advice on how to best complete the project, the warranty limitations, design and keeping us advised on progress. Though Ohana's main business in remodeling or installing kitchens, cabinets, countertops, et cetera, and not decks, the men who performed the work were VERY good and knowledgeable and competent at their job. The city inspector, both when the framing and the final product was inspected, was impressed and commented on the very good job they did. The price was a bit higher than other bidders, but Ohana's design and knowledge of the requirements to complete the project were superior to all other bidders. When another project I had contracted for (paver patio), delayed Ohana's ability to complete the deck, Ryan, though it had idled its employees for 3 days, was able to handle this unexpected delay and complete the project as contracted without complaint. I would and do recommend Ohana Construction to everyone for any project. There are no negative issues associated with Ohana and many, many positive comments and outcomes. We REALLY loved working with Ohana Construction, and REALLY love the final product.

Ohana Construction was one of four contractors that I requested estimates on, replacing decking on a 12' by 12' deck. As before, I said that I wanted to use Menard's composite decking. I was told by Ryan that he WOULDN'T use Menards decking. I told him that I could get the decking for about $700. He stated that his price would be $1500 to $1800 for material. Labor would be between $2000 and $2500. That terminated my contact with Ohana Construction!

Have made too email attempts to reach this contractor. Have a modest kitchen remodel project that needs to be quoted. Sent two (2) emails; no response to date. Perhaps job is too small. OK, but I'd appreciate a response. If this is level of responsiveness how can I trust them when the project is started?

almost all the sub-contractors were prompt, professional and highly skilled. if problems arose as they always do, ryan took careof them right away. nothing was unfixable. ryan and maggie were a great team- friendly, helpful and always had our budget and needs in mind. they went above and beyond to get us the perfect kitchen and bath for us.

Ryan answered the phone and answered all of my questions. Even though the work I need done is not something that they do at Ohana, he was very friendly and gave me suggestions for other places to try.

They were very professional, reliable, had good communication, did quality work, and good design. We did not have any issues with any of the work since it had been finished. It was excellent.

Ryan was very prompt and professional. He listened well to our goals and wishes and answered our questions clearly and directly. We were not asking for a bid yet, as we were still simply trying to figure out how much we could have done given our budget. He provided an estimate about a week after we met, as promised, and it seemed both reasonable and realistic. Ultimately, we chose to go with another contractor who had been referred to us from friends and whose work we had seen firsthand. But Ohana was competitively priced and I would have no reservations about working with them in the future.

Working with Ryan and Maggie was a great experience. They are friendly and professional and were very willing to work within my budget. My new kitchen is beautiful and functional. I was very nervous about a complete kitchen remodel - I had heard lots of horror stories and have not had great success with past remodel projects, but Ryan and Maggie put me at ease right from the beginning. They are very honest and will let you know if your expectations are outside of your budget and then offer solutions that you might be interested in. They provided a binder of information as well as access to a website to track my project so I knew everyday who was coming and and what they were going to be working on. I was able to stay in touch by phone or email and felt comfortable with the workers. I have to say this was the easiest project that I have worked on. Everyone was very friendly and answered all of my questions and didn't mind when I changed my mind or wanted something different. There was never a mess at the end of the work day and the workers didn't mind my curious cats checking out what they were doing. Also there was "no surprise" additional cost at the end of the job. I will definitely use Ohana Construction for any future remodeling needs.

At the beginning, there was an unforeseen problem with a wall so vents and plumbing needed to be moved. He called extra people in immediately and got the work done on the same day. As of today, they are still on schedule and should be finished in 4 more days. All of the workers were very pleasant to have around and they were all as clean as they could be in a very dusty situation. I would hire them for another project in a heartbeat. The cabinets are beautiful and the countertop is being installed as I type.

They came out to do an estimate/ and create a plan for my kitchen remodel project. It turned into a sales pitch for kitchen cabinets. We spoke about options, and I was supposed to get a drawing of our plan, which I never got.

We had several meetings, received many useful suggestions, saw lots of samples. In the end we decided not to do the work at that time.

They accepted my payment; I set up an appointment and later cancelled the appointment; I never heard from them again.

Have not proceeded with actual remodel for personal reasons.

I am totally pleased with the Marvin Windows. They did a good job and were meticulous and were acceptable of when I asked questions. They seemed to care about it as much as I did. They cleaned up afterwards. They are the daughter and son-in-law of a friend of mine so I'm not sure if I would use them again on a larger project. I wouldn't want to jeopardize the friendship in any way. Otherwise, I would have no problem using them again.
