Hello Tony, So we had xxxxxxxx come out and the following was discussed: 1. Because of the design of our home with the foyer and existing 2 levels what we “essentially” have is a two zone system. 2. If Countryside removes the zone system and dampeners we will have no heat in our lower level so they advise against that. 3. There was a way to give us a two zone system however because Countryside chose the layout the way they did there is no option to do anything different at this point. Short of a whole new system at the going rate of ~ $7000 (You have been paid $7505. Removing anything will lead us with just what we started with which is NOT ACCEPTABLE. 4. Countryside has provided us a “quote” and a final bill. There is no signed contract, no change order, no email agreement to do any additional work other than the quote and the crossed out “upgrade” that the quote identifies and Tony was told of specifically at the final “pre work” meeting. 5. We are starting drywall 01/28 and Doug and Joanne Hill are considering $7505 (paid) the total amount due. Please note this amount is ~ 20% more than the quoted amount. Again, there is no signed contract, no pre park scope agreement, no change order or any other conversation signaling to the homeowners the cost would be more the the originally quoted amount of $6505. 6. The homeowners also have two quotes that the desired two zone was possible and that due to the design of our home, essentially what we have. Except due to Countryside opting to add zoning system the two zone system can not be re routed any other way. 7. Doug and Joanne Hill has asked for the Owner to contact for over a week, this has been done via the Sales guy Tony, posted on the Complaint/review site, and a Better business Bureau has been filed over a week with No response from countryside. Given that all this has been done we are considering our relationship complete. Doug and joanne hill have paid Countryside in FULL (20% over quoted amount) and 10% over market value for work complete as evidence by report from Center-point home Services. Addendum 8. Doug and joanne previously offered to split the ~3300 upgrade homeowners did not agree to - leaving countryside to absorb 1505 and the homeowners to pay 1505. Given the assessment from xxxxxxxxxx this offer has been withdrawn! I will forward this to the owner and the BBB Done !

"We provided a detailed estimate for a 3 zone system and ductwork in the amount of $9535. This quote was never modified nor was asked to be modified by the homeowners. There was never a quote for $6505 given. The $6505 was one line item that was part of the $9535 quote we presented to the homeowners. [Member Name Removed] was emailed the estimate through our Invoice2Go system on Nov. 3. On November 30th, [Member Name Removed] electronically approved the estimate through our Invoice2Go system and then he followed up with an email stating that he just approved our estimate. He does not mention anything about the cost, description of work and no mention of making any changes to the quoted work. On December 27th, our Comfort Specialist and Lead Installer meet with Doug in his home to do a walk through of the project. They discussed the scope of the project, layout, the zone system, where the thermostats would be ect. Nothing was brought up to change the scope of the project. It wasn't until 4 days after the job was completed that we got a call from the [Member Name Removed] stating they didn't want a 3 zone system, they only wanted a 2 zone system. They sent us a picture of our estimate with the zoning portion crossed off with a pencil. We had never seen this redacted estimate before and we asked them who crossed that off and they don't know who crossed it off or how they got it, but they are trying to use it as proof that they didn't want the zoning. We tried to work with the homeowners by giving them 3 options/solutions, but they refused all options. One option was to come and take out the zoning portion of the estimate that they had crossed off the estimate. If you don't want the zoning, let us take it out and we won't charge you for it. Instead, they want to keep the 3 zone system and they are demanding that we pay for half the cost of it. We stand behind our work and we did exactly what we said we were going to do as outlined in our detailed estimate and we want to be paid 100% for it. We are still waiting for full payment."

The owners of Countryside Heating & Cooling completely lied about the Labor and Warranty for our HVAC System. During the sales process, the owner himself promised 5 years of labor, including 10 years for parts and service. They are not honoring that claim. At first sign of an issue with the system within days of installation, they stated that the system only had a one year labor warranty. We had to go back and forth countless times before the owner finally agreed to that. They also stated after the system was sold and installed that in order to keep their labor warranty, we would have to purchase an expensive monthly service plan to keep the labor side of the warranty. This was never disclosed in any documentation, or by word of mouth prior to or during the sale of the system. One year later, sure enough a part of the system is already broken and they refused to service it without purchasing their expensive monthly service contract, and the owners have not responded to any of the requests we have made for service. They also stated that in order to keep the parts warranty, we would be required to pay this service or Bryant corporate wouldn't honor our parts warranty. I called Bryant Corporate and opened a case with them. Both the initial rep and the rep escalation Manager assured me that was 100% untrue what Countryside stated, and my warranty was valid regardless of Countryside's demands for 'professional HVAC servicing'. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, even their own electrician during the install stated multiple times how their owner would consistently embellish the extend of the electrical work required. They don't even put any guidelines in the quotes for you, it's just the products and prices. Do yourselves a favor and go with a reputable HVAC company, not Countryside.

"This is a duplicate review. [Member Name Removed]'[Member Information Removed] husband, [Member Name Removed] submitted a complaint on the BBB requesting Countryside to pay them $2000 for another HVAC company to make any future repairs. The BBB closed their case. Here is a summary of the BBB complaint: "Countryside acknowledges that during the sales process, [Member Name Removed] verbally negotiated a 5 year warranty with Lance at no additional charge. Our labor warranties require annual maintenance tune ups at the expense of the purchaser in order to be effective. [Member Name Removed] purchased his new Bryant system in June of 2019. In July of 2019 [Member Name Removed] called us to get clarification on our labor warranty. We told him verbally and in writing that he has 10 year parts and 5 year labor, as long as he does annual maintenance. [Member Name Removed] was offered our maintenance plan options and was also told that we often have $79 tune up specials. One year later, [Member Name Removed] called Countryside for service on 6/24/2020. Our technician found the Bryant Perfect Air Cleaner was working properly; just the indicator light was burnt out. [Member Name Removed] told Mike that he does his own maintenance. While on site, Mike observed the outdoor condenser in desperate need of cleaning as it was completely covered in lint. Maggie told [Member Name Removed] that we would make the repair at no cost as long as he has the system maintained going forward. Countryside acknowledged that we failed to inform [Member Name Removed] of the warranty policy prior to the installation. We apologized for this mistake and offered him a free tune up. [Member Name Removed] refused our offer for a free tune up and he did not want us to come back to fix his light. He stated that he already called another company to fix it and that he wanted Countryside to pay for it, along with any future repairs made by a different company. [Member Name Removed] paid $0 for our labor warranty. We have already agreed to do the warranty work at no cost and have offered a free tune up. If [Member Name Removed] decides to use another company, we are not responsible for their labor costs." -The Countryside Team"

Late Friday night, Memorial Day weekend, 50 year old furnace not starting. Called 3 furnace places. Only a technician from Countryside called back. Wanted to make sure I understood it would be a higher charge for after-hours work. He was in the home within an hour of the callback. Pilot light was out. The young man figured it out and took time to explain so I could light it next time. Perfect! [ the gas company had an appointment available 1 week later ]

I've worked with them for several years. I think a world of them, they're very good. The same kid has come out. They come out twice a year. I'm on a plan that they have. They do two of my gas fireplaces and they do my air conditioner. They clean it out and just do general maintenance on it. If I need anything additionally, they have people on call and things like that.
