Description of Work: I had them come out to see if they could help me figure out why I am getting some water in my basement. He gave some suggestions. I followed the suggestions and it didn't make a difference in the water coming in. I was also interested in having some other work done. He had written me up a quote. I never heard back from him. I was disappointed overall.

Description of Work: Our sump pump was failing and on the verge of flooding. They had someone to my home within an hour to replace the sump pump. Base pricing and optional add-onsite were explained before starting work. The work was done quickly and professionaly. I am very happy with the service received.

Description of Work: We had water leaking in the basement around the fireplace. Our thought was there was leaking around the fireplace outside under the ground, maybe a hole int he wall someplace. We brought them in and they insisted the issue was just a general issue of water going under the house. We had brought in a fireplace specialist before and they confirmed that there were no issues with the fireplace as well. We asked Complete Basements if this solution would solve our problem and they said yes...well, it really didn't. |Issue 1: they informed us during a consultation that they wouldn't come out to do work unless the cost of the project was at least $1000. I thought that was shady because it didn't say that anywhere on the website. We had contemplated just walking away as we had gotten the deal through Angie's list but figured this would address future issues. |Issue 2: We had flooding issues a month after it was installed. Turns out the problem wasn't just a general flooding issues that they commonly diagnose. They now believe us that there's something wrong with the fireplace and despite the installation thinks we should dig down and solve that problem. They were kind enough to offer to come out and help out with that, for a fee of course. |Issue 3: when they came out to address the issue, they decided they needed to install this extra thing that would catch the water on the inside, it looks kind of tacky, but it works. The issue is when they went to do that they found out the people installed it wrong and had to come back yet again. |Issue 4: They didn't completely seal the holes in the wall, but that was an easy fix. |I made the mistake of ordering the deal through Angie's list without really knowing what it was I was getting into, so that was my fault there. They had excellent customer service. Their workers were very clean and thorough. One reason for the higher rating is they were prompt to respond and fix issues and had great customer service. I would use them again, but I would ask way more questions before giving up any money. We ended up spending a little more as they were here to get our sump pumps up to code. Great group of people.

Description of Work: They provided me with an estimate of work that could be performed in hopes of eliminating water issues in the basement.

Description of Work: The initial visit for which we paid Complete Basements $55 was prompt, courteous and professional. During their inspection there was a question of "mold remediation of an approximate 50 sqft area" was recommended but that Complete Basements did not do this work. They recommended two vendors to do the job and, in fact, called the proprietor of one from my house. (I subsequently discovered that both companies were owned by the same person). An approximate cost, over the phone, was $500-$800 but the company rep would have to come by the house to give the actual bid that evening. A young estimator belabored the potential work for about 30 minutes and bid $1000. I then cancelled the planned service by Complete Basements (we had given them a deposit) and subsequently had the work done by a separate company. Complete Basements called the next day after I cancelled their job and offered to reduce their bid by that $1000 amount, which also made me uneasy. So- a mixed review.

Description of Work: WEnt well. We had purchased the special anticipating to need some of their services for basement waterproofing, but the vendor told us we really did not need it and could do well with a high quality dehumidifier instead. Very professional and fair.
