We've been contemplating a kitchen remodel for quite some time. Approximately 3 years back we met with a well-known local builder (recognizable name) and that guy (head of company) came out and took a look and told us he'd definitely completely redo our kitchen and it would be magnificent. And we'd seen his work and we believed him. But from the minute he began talking to us there was always an eye on the money - how much, could we afford it, lots of people take out home loans, etc. His estimate (which was a much larger project than Dan undertook) was approximately $70k. Way too rich for our blood, so for awhile, disappointed, we tabled our project. Mind you, the kitchen's been untouched in the house for 16 years (6 by original owner, 10 by us), so it was definitely due for an upgrade. So this Falll my wife got onto Angie's list and we spoke with friends and we got three different guys/companies to come out and give us an idea of what it would cost to rip everything out and build everything new, though not change the footprint. My wife had the creative idea to move the fridge a few feet and put a pass-through to the dining room in one of the walls, but otherwise, the footprint would pretty much be the same. Dan said he'd get back to us in a couple weeks and he did, with a bid that never really changed at all (except when we wanted a slight change). His bid was detailed (how much we could spend in each category and stay within our budget) and specific and hands down was the best bid. After a couple weeks of mulling our options, we selected Dan (though he was always our first choice). He provided a detailed schedule and kept to it, even when we made minor changes. The only reason I don't give him straight A's is due to his busyness, he's good, so he's in demand. On one or two occasions minor things fell through the cracks. He was great about addressing them, so it was never an issue. But if you contract with Dan (and I recommend you do), understand he's in demand. Busy people are preoccupied people. Net-net; I'd hire him again in a second. Actually, he'll be my go-to guy for anything else we might contemplate doing on our house. He's courteous, funny, has a great eye for kitchen design and was exactly what we wanted. His workers (including his son, who's worked for him for some time) we're all excellent, as were his sub-contractors. All in all a phenomenal experience I would repeat in a heartbeat. Thanks to Dan and all his workers and subcontractors. We love our new kitchen. And it also didn't break the bank.

It was a very pleasant process from demo to completed new kitchen. Dan is very friendly and professional, and all of the sub-contractors and employees that came to my home were friendly, courteous, and efficient. I ranked the price as Good because I did not get any other estimates to compare. It seemed very fair for the quality of the cabinetry and the excellent workmanship of everyone involved. I especially appreciated the detailed estimates I was given. The first estimate was very close to the final cost, even with several changes I made along the way. The quality of the cabinetry from Design Cabinets of Lakeville is outstanding, and the workmanship in the entire kitchen and adjacent laundry room is excellent. Even my "picky" son-in-law was impressed with everything! I will be contacting Dan again soon to remodel my bathrooms!

We are very happy with the work that was done by country creek builders. They put down tile, installed gorgeous custom cabinets, moved lighting, refinished ceiling and painted. They started and finished the project within their quoted timeframe. The quality of the work is top notch. Dan made sure we were completely happy with every aspect of the project and didn't take any request lightly. Something that stands out to us as impressive and refreshing was his responsiveness by, phone, email or text. The project took about a month and a half and in that time I think I was only directed to his voicemail once. Also appreciative was the fact that each day when they would wrap up they would clean up and leave little to no mess for us to live in. We will definitely use Country Creek Builders again for future projects.

This was my third project with Country Creek Builders. CCB was not my first contractor for this project as I was working with someone my realtor had recommended. BAD decision!!! One week before my project was supposed to start and two weeks before my house was to go on the market, my contractor contacted me to say that he had to delay my project by one week. This did not work with my timeline so I fired him. CCB to the rescue!! I contacted Dan and, I was so fortunate, that he had room in his schedule to do my project. My bathroom was clean each night when the team left. And, most importantly my tile turned out beautiful and right on time for my house .to go to market. The service and quality provided by Country Creek Builders is unmatched!!!

Once again, Country Creek Builders has saved me! I was working with another contractor to replace my windows. That contractor was significantly overpriced and could not come to an agreement with my insurance company. That is where Dan at Country Creek Builders stepped in. He was able to offer me a significantly higher quality window at a very reasonable cost. He also provides a detailed estimate prior to the start of the project detailing each itemized cost. That way there were no surprises at the end of the project. I spent six months working with the "other" contractor. From beginning talks to end of project, Country Creek Builders was complete within 6 weeks! Dan and his team are fantastic. They were professional, answered all of my questions, and best of all, they cleaned up after themselves every day. The quality of work performed is outstanding. I have learned my lesson and will only go to CCB for my remodeling needs.

Used subcontractors for some of the work and all were professional and did good work.

The end results were amazing. Dan and crew came in and provided electronic design plans which allowed us to vision the final design prior to starting. All of the detail that was provided was exactly what I was looking for to ensure I understood all costs involved. The final bill was exactly what was quoted and the workmanship was great. Dan's crew is fabulous. On time everyday, friendly with the family and kept everything very clean and organized. The suggestions they made were great. Country Creek builders are above and beyond any other contractor that we received quotes from. I will say it again, they did an amazing job, on time and on budget. Thanks for our new area. We have hired Dan and his crew in the past, so we are repeat customers, however we had a fantastic experience again. They gutted the bathroom down to the studs. Dan provided a detailed project schedule and budget for the project. We went outside of that budget when we chose a custom tub. He was very careful to call this to our attention and explain how it would affect the budget. He assisted us in choosing all of the finishes for the room. Throughout the project, he either answered his phone when we called or called us back within the hour -- he is super responsive. They found an issue with how the pipes were vented when they demolished everything. He explained the issue and explained that he had a plan and that he would only pass the cost of the additional materials to us. His whole crew is extremely friendly and professional. Everything looks great from the tile work to the custom cabinetry and granite. When the project was finished, there was an issue with one of the sink handle cartridges that was causing a small leak. Dan came back out the day we called with the plumber and got a new cartridge in order to solve the problem. The knowledge that your project is very important to your contractor really makes for a great experience and the quality of their work is exceptional. I will absolutely give Country Creek a call again for our next project.

We were in a hurry to get started and Dan was able to schedule the project to start three days after we closed. The work involved replacing the majority of the carpet with laminate wood flooring in the living room, kitchen and dining area. We also had the master bathroom completely gutted and redone with new cabinetry, granite counter tops, new custom built shower, new bath tub, and stone flooring and tile. All light fixtures in kitchen, dining area and office were replaced along with one fixture upstairs. The townhome had glass railing panels going upstairs that they replaced with a beautiful custom rod-iron railing. We also had to replace the Polybutylene plumbing in the townhome (which wasn't something we were counting on) and they took care of all of that with the plumber as well as repairing all of the holes that had to be made in the walls/ceilings throught the whole townhouse. The old fireplace on the main level was redone with stone as well as a new fireplace that was installed in our lower level. Through out this whole process, Dan, Dave, Brittney and Kyle kept us updated daily on what they were going to be working on the next day, what the schedule was going forward and any problems they encountered. This team is the best I have ever worked with on any type of home project and I have done many with various different contractors! They are genuinely great people and a pleasure to work with. Home renovations are never much fun, but everyone at Country Creek Builders made every day a pleasure even though there was a lot of construction being done! Their craftmanship and quality of their work was above our expectations and we love everything that was done. I can't compliment them enough on a job well done! We love it and we are so happy with the results!

We could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. We received several bids with Dan's coming in mid range. We loved his itemized quote, our other quotes had no detail, just the bottom line. After our first meeting they came back with a drawing that really helped us visualize what our basement could look like. Dan's crew was on time, stayed within our budget and updated our quote if anything was added. They had good suggestions and really listened to what we wanted. Our home improvement project with Country Creek went very well. We were unsure of the cabinet design that would work in our living room. Dan was helpful in showing us alternatives that would work with nice looking models. We had many changes in the design, Dan was very patient with us. You could tell he wanted us to be happy in the end, so he was patient working through the process until we found what we wanted. We really appreciated the prompt and polite responses Dan gave us. We didnt want this project to linger once we approved a design. Dan was accurate about when work would get started and finished. The project went exactly to plan, we could tell the Country Creek team was well organized. The Country Creek team was very professional and skilled. The cabinet installation, stone fireplace and tile in our laundry room is perfect, better than what we envisioned. Dan gave us an accurate and written quote on the work, and there were no surprises in fees. The price he quoted was exactly what we paid. We would like to do some addtional home improvement projects over then next 5 years, and we will definetely be asking CountryCreek to come back to do the work.

We recently moved into the house and the wet-bar in the basement was clearly installed by the previous owner himself. Country Creek Builders built us a new custom wet-bar that from design to final product was outstanding. There were several hiccups along the way, but none of them were the fault of Country Creek Builders. They electrician found hidden electrical box behind old cabinets plus new electrical had to be run because circuit was overloaded. The day they cut the granite counter-top the piece we selected cracked. Dan made sure everything was taken care of and kept the project on time and on budget. Dan kept a close eye on the project, but actually his son oversaw and did a lot of the work. This was never a concern to us as his son had a keen eye for details and his work was exceptional. He caught several minor details that we didn't even notice like the plumber installed the wrong strainer in sink and the electrical outlets would look better if they were black instead of tan because of the color of wood stain and the back splash. Country Creek Builders far exceeded our expectations and were are very glad we have them the project.

Working with Dan and his team has been great ? by far the best experience we have had with a contractor. He provided a free consultation, where he walked through the basement and listened to what we wanted. He provided creative solutions to the challenges we had. He provided drawings of his suggestions for the basement along with an extremely detailed pricing breakdown that aligned with our budget. Throughout the project he worked around our schedules and went to every appointment with us personally when we picked out materials for the remodel. He always had a specific contact he wanted us to work with from each vendor to help ensure we would not be pressured into buying expensive materials. He stopped by the house every day of the project to ensure that subcontractors arrived on time and knew what they needed to do. We ran into two main issues during the project. The first was that our ceiling was not level. On the side where it joined with a cedar support beam, there was a gap. They bought a cedar piece to extend our existing beam (they matched the stain exactly). This was a great solution that ended up looking really nice ? which they did not charge us for. The second issue was that there was a significant gap between the custom cabinets and the stacked stone around the fireplace. They came up with a solution to build stacked stone pillars on either side, which again looked great. While this required more materials and an extra day of work, they didn?t charge us for any of the extra effort. If you want to be treated fairly and honestly, you?ll want to work with Country Creek. The work they did for us could not have come out better. They stuck to our budget and the timeline despite unforeseen issues in the project. They were extremely friendly and professional throughout. Best of all, they did what they said they would do at every turn. We have already scheduled an upstairs bathroom remodel with them.

Dan and his designer, Patty, met with us to understand what we wanted. They really listened to us as we explained how we wanted to use the basement, what we liked and didn't like, even down to the feel that we wanted the basement to have. They then put a design together, met with us again to modify to our tastes, and provided a detailed cost estimate. Once we signed the agreement, Patty helped us to pick out cabinets, stain, flooring, etc. Dan gave us a detailed project plan that let us know what to expect and when and who would be coming and going from our house each day. He answered all our questions, responding to emails and phone calls quickly. Almost everything went according to plan and the allowances that were built into the estimate were sufficient to keep us within our budget. The only issue that we ran into was a problem with the shower door. However, Dan notified us ahead of time about the slight delay, and it was fixed and installed shortly after the original date that we expected it. Dan's staff and the contractors he works with are very professional, friendly, and respectful. The project was completed on time and the result was a finished basement that we love. I really want to congratulate Dan for building a company with a staff that truly cares about the job they do. From the quality of work we received, it is very clear that they take a lot of pride in their work. Instead of just getting the job done, they took extra care to do the job right.

Getting a quote nailed down took a little longer than I would have liked, and was a little rocky, but once we agreed on the scope of the project and cost, Dan and his guys were fantastic. On time, on budget, and professional. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and would hire him and his crew again.

Very quick teardown, taking great care to minimize dust and mess. Beautiful attention to the tiling and travertine walls and floor. Carefully made arrangements for future railings to go in if needed when our agedness requires. All of his team working quickly and very professionally and it was completed right on time and within budget.

It works great. Dan is highly motivated, a great communicator, and he and his team are highly skilled. My experience with contractors is they are usually 2 of those 3. Dan has all those traits and for that we love working with him. Dan can look at a set of plans in the beginning and see potential issues and find ways to make the project even better. Again, Dan and team have done upwards of 60 jobs for me. I have been EXTREMELY happy with Country Creek!!!!

Initially, my wife and I met with Dan (the owner) to go over our kitchen remodel ideas, floor refinishing and fireplace repair. Dan asked us a lot of questions on what we wanted, wrote down a lot of notes and took measurements. Within a week, he provided us with a very detailed cost estimate of the project using average costs for cabinets, granite countertops, etc. and went over everything in the estimate. We decided to go with Country Creek Builders after meeting with 2 other contractors. The project then went as follows: - Met with Dan and Del (the cabinet guy), to come up with specifics of the kitchen design. They were easy to work with and provided us with good suggestions and great design ideas. - Once the cabinets were designed, we picked out granite, tile, sinks, faucets, lights, etc. - The estimate was then revised based on the cost of what we picked out. This gave us a more realistic cost estimate of the project based on the upgraded cabinets and the more expensive granite we picked out. - We were then presented with a detailed schedule for the kitchen remodeling and the smaller projects. We knew exactly what was going to be done each day and when the entire project was to be completed. - All work was completed within the scheduled times and the quality of work was excellent. - The cost of the entire project came within the estimate. - The new kitchen came out great. The hardwood floors and fireplace also look great. - My wife and I were extremely pleased with how everything turned out and would recommend using Country Creek. - Very honest, easy to work with and quality oriented. No surprises. We will definitely use them for any future remodeling projects.

Country Creek Builders had four of their employees do the demolition, removing plaster walls, ceilings, and soffits, the plumbing, vanity, and tile from walls and floor. They encased the halls and open staircase with plastic and removed the debris through the front door with amazingly small amount of dust leaking into the rest of the house. This was done in less than six hours. They cleaned up very well and left the house quite clean at the end of the day. Plumbing and electrical rough ins followed quickly and after the phase of inspection was complete, they installed sheet rock. They did a very nice job of adjusting for the depth difference between the old plaster walls and the new sheet rock, which became very important on later steps of the project when doors and trim were reinstalled. The sheet rocker did a wonderful job of feathering in the surface where the old plumbing pipes extended beyond the sheet rock depth. The owner of Country Creek Builders met us on several occasions at the Tile Shop and Granite showroom to assist us in selection. His designer worked with me to plan the vanity of my dreams and he took a piece of my furniture to match the stain. I can't say enough positive things about the tile installers Dave and Brittney. The results are so beautiful and they took such care to make it perfect. We were so impressed with the quality of the work and with the way they left the area so clean when they were done at the end of the day. Dan and his crew delivered more than expected and we strongly recommend them for any project.

On the surface this project was finishing a basement. To us, though, it was much more than that. My sister and I wanted to combine households ? which meant that this basement project was to be my home ? a complete apartment with a garden view. And of course we had a budget. Dan was the only contractor we talked to who took our budget seriously. He provided a line item cost analysis so that we could see where to trim or to enhance. He listened, made adjustments, and helped us to see the final project before he even started. He provided a calendar detailing when work would be completed and was available through email or phone whenever we had questions. The finished apartment is everything we had hoped for and more. Patty found a way to include a laundry room, where before we thought the washer/dryer would be tucked into the furnace room. Dave handcrafted a cat door into the furnace room that is perfect for the feline friends to enter and exit for feeding and litter. Steve was tireless and always upbeat. Dan created an architectural element in the main living area and bathroom to disguise heating ducts. And Brittany?s tile work is beautiful. The crew and subcontractors were professional, personable, and approachable. They made every effort to control the chaos that is a normal part of construction and Dan supervised the progress closely. We would not hesitate to recommend Country Creek Builders to anyone looking for a remodel or new construction. We couldn?t be happier with how it all turned out!

Dan Drenckhahn, owner, is professional, detailed, precise and a pleasure to work with. I told him I wanted transparency in pricing so that when I decided to change out a fixture I knew exactly how the new cost would be calculated. Unlike many of the other estimates I got, this estimate was extremely detailed. While the "one-stop-shop" design centers make it a bit easier in picking out product, their selection is limited and pricing is often concealed. It was a hassle running around to different providers, (granite, plumbing, electrical, tile, cabinets, paint), but each provider that Dan directed us to was professional and very helpful. The crew is led by his son and is wonderful. With any major construction project there will be changes and impromptu decisions that need to be made. The crew was patient and helpful. More importantly - they were intelligent and creative. They offered ideas gained from experience on other jobs and were comfortable making suggestions, many of which we gladly accepted. The crew was neat and respectful and took great pains to install dust barriers, (something other contractors I've had in my home promised but didn't deliver on), closed off vents, protected rugs and, though impossible to completely eliminate, minimized the disruption to the maximum extent possible. The workmanship was very good - corners mitered well, little details that make the job. The crew went so far as to sort through a box of natural stone tiles to select those tiles that would be complementary to each other, making the adjacent tiles flow together. We were given a detailed three week schedule and for the most part, they stuck to that schedule. There were some delays, caused by our changes or supplier delivery issues, but they treated the schedule as sacred. They showed up every day and typically worked a full 8 hours, if not 10. Sub-contractors are used for plumbing and electrical. It is readily apparent that these subs do a great deal of work for Country Creek and clearly respect working with Dan and his crew. Three change orders were required on the job and the costs were clearly outlined. I never felt that changes were being used as an opportunity to increase profit. We are not normally comfortable allowing complete unsupervised access to our home but never felt a need for concern or worry with the Country Creek staff.

From start to finish it was first class. They started and finished the work when they said they would. All of the sub-contractors were on time and very professional. Country Creek's people were outstanding, their tile installed was especially good. She did a beautiful job, seemed happy doing her job and made sure when she finished that every thing was neat and clean. When I got the final bill it was exactly what the estimate was. I can't think of anything thing that would have made the remodeling job any better.
