When we initially talked, I explained that I wanted some consulting help in selecting cabinets, colors, etc. Instead of focusing on this, which was my primary request, Lisa Crocker re-drew new plans (our contractor had already drawn plans). At our first meeting, in response to questions from Lisa, we were very clear that we did not want and would never use a feature she suggested. I thought we also had agreement about another part of the design. At our second meeting, she brought the plans she had drawn--which we hadn't specifically requested--and they included the features we had clearly stated in our first meeting that we did not want. At the second meeting, she was also rather rude and a number of times when I would state a preference that differed from her suggestion, she said, "you're just stuck in your ways." After that meeting when it was clear that she was unwilling to listen to what we wanted in our kitchen, I discontinued her services, and when I received her rather large bill, I requested that she reduce the bill by the amount of time she spent drawing features in the plans that we had clearly stated in the first meeting that we did not want. She refused to reduce her bill. I feel we did not receive the consulting help I thought we had mutually agreed to and further, I believe she was unethical to charge us for her time drawing plans that my husband and I had both clearly told her we did not want. My contractor also spoke with her and agreed that she would be very difficult to work with. She was unwilling to work with the preferences we stated for our kitchen.
Description of Work: We asked for help in selecting cabinet styles and finishes as well as colors for counters, etc. for our kitchen remodel. We also asked for suggestions for improvements to our contractor's design. We didn't get much help on cabinets, finishes, countertop, colors, etc. but instead received a completely new set of plans--which we hadn't requested.
