Eric's crew was great to work with. They were in and out within a week's time and did a great job updating the walls/floor/ceiling for my lower level laundry room. Very happy with the results.

Working with the Swencraft group was a pleasure because they were very responsive to requests and willing to take on the 'while we are at it' things that came up. They tried to anticipate possible surprises and were open and transparent about necessary required building changes and additional costs. As a friend, who also used this company said, "I liked them as much when they finished the project as I did when they started." We are very pleased with the results of our project!

The construction project went very well. Eric and his crew started the project on time and finished a few days ahead of schedule. All work was performed as noted in the original bid, plus some extra things that we decided Upon on the way. Eric was always helpful and understanding and listened to our concerns... we would hire Eric and his crew anytime! Swencraft is AWESOME!!

It went great! We had interviewed a number of different contractors and were having trouble finding one we were comfortable with. We liked Eric right away. He came across as a normal guy who understood our situation (the wife had waited many years to remodel and wanted dramatic upgrades and the husband just wanted it done on-time and within a reasonable budget). We were able to get it scheduled right away and from then, everything went off like clockwork. Since we were doing both of our bathrooms, we needed to keep one functional at all times. We started downstairs, gutted it, moved some plumbing around, and completely remodeled. We worked with Michele on tile selection, granite countertop selection, etc. and Eric gave us some options on cabinets. We knew we were going high end on cabinets in the upstairs bath (custom cherry) and wanted to shave a little cost downstairs so we went with a different cabinet maker at a discount. We were very pleased with Eric's crew, but also with his choice of subcontractors. We liked his electrician so much that we had him do some additional work for us independent of this project. The cabinets turned out great and both of the cabinet makers communicated well and gave us options so we could get the look and feel we wanted at a reasonable cost. The downstairs bathroom came together nicely and on time and when complete, was such a dramatic improvement of what we previously had, that we didn't even know what to expect with the upstairs bathroom. After the downstairs bathroom was complete, Eric and his crew started upstairs and the work they did there exceeded our expectations. More significant plumbing was needed as we moved the toilet, and the cabinetry work was more extensive as we changed the entire layout of the bathroom. The whole look and feel of the bathroom is amazing. We went from a functional bathroom where we never took a bath because the toilet was right next to the tub, to a very elegant bathroom that meets all the wife's needs and she is very happy. After complete, we had a few minor issues, that required attention (mostly the tub drain didn't seal properly) but Eric jumped on those right away and allowed us to withhold part of our final payment until everything was complete to our satisfaction. In the end, we are very pleased, not only with the quality of the work, but in the manner everything was handled. Communication throughout the entire project was good and Eric kept us informed of the things we needed to do as well, so everything went off without a hitch. We'd like to thank Eric, Michelle, and his crew and his subcontractors as we really had a good experience.

This project went Very well, they were punctual, professional, and left no mess. Their attention to detail was refreshing with items like flooring lines and cuts and trim. It just looks professional and many family members have said so!

Above all, the main things we liked about Eric and his team were how great they were to work with. We were very indecisive customers, and he worked with us patiently and flexibly as we changed our minds over the course of several months before finally deciding on what we wanted. He gave us numerous quotes as we tried to get the cost down to what we could afford. He adjusted his schedule to meet our needs, even bailing us out at short notice when we realized we needed some major extra help with a demolition project that we'd originally intended to do ourselves. Eric was super responsive, easy to stay in contact with, very helpful, punctual, and did quality work. Our main objective was to replace the carpeting in our dining room and the tile in our kitchen with LVP (a hard floor that looks like wood). However, we had a banister in our dining room that had several problems. First, the balusters went directly into the carpet. The carpet was cut around each individual baluster, which would not be practical for a hard floor. We couldn't switch from carpet to a hard floor without dealing with this issue. Also, the banister had sustained some damage, with some wood broken off the handrail and two balusters missing. Finally, the balusters were too far apart to meet code and were a safety hazard for our children. As we began getting quotes on the banister, we were shocked at how expensive it would be to replace it entirely. Eric worked with us to choose new balusters that would go well with our existing handrail and newel posts. In that way, we were able to save a lot of money by using some of our existing wood. Eric and his team essentially removed our banister and then put it back in again with the new balusters in order to install wood landing tread underneath it in order to make it possible for us to have a hard floor. They also repaired our damaged handrail and tightened everything up (repairing some previous looseness). The "new" banister looks great--better even than we expected! It looks up-to-date and very nice. We also ran into the issue of needing help demolishing our tile floor. More layers than we expected had to be removed, and it became quickly clear that we wouldn't be able to do it ourselves. Eric's team took over with very short notice, did a great job, and charged a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend Eric. He was responsive, flexible, helpful, and punctual, and his team was great.

Eric and his crew did an outstanding job - there's just no other way to say it. Fast, timely, quality work and at a fair price. One of my biggest frustrations with contractors is communication - from the initial contact to the finish, that was never an issue. Phone calls and emails were always returned promptly. The finished product was better than I expected, and on budget. This work was done on a rental property, and my tenant even went out of her way to call me and tell me how polite and professional they were, and that even the cleanup was above expectations. No complaints from the HOA either during the work. This is not the first time I have used them, and I would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks, Eric, for a job (very) well done!

After the great experience we had working with Swencraft to remodel the upper level of our home the summer of 2014, we hired them again in August 2015 to rebuild our neglected deck. Luckily, the existing support structure was still in good shape, and did not require any work. Swencraft came through again, and the entire process went flawlessly from the suggestions of composite materials, colors for the decking and rail system, and Eric and crew finished the job on schedule and on budget. In the end, we have a beautiful maintenance-free deck that will require no effort on our part for many years to come. We have received many compliments from neighbors and family, and highly recommend Swencraft for any home remodeling needs. We look forward to working with them again in the future.

Two years ago we moved into a two bedroom, one bath home. we contacted Swencraft to add a second bathroom in the basement Eric helped us design this bathroom, approximately 9ft. by 9ft., so it functions very well, and with room for a four foot glassed in shower. This included everything from jack hammering the floor for the drains, to running the water lines, electrical, framing, insulation, and sheetrock! This year he finished the rest of the basement by making a legal third bedroom downstairs, connecting to the bathroom, by installing an egress window, two closets, plus adding a dividing wall as well gave us an extra large space for whatever we choose! Eric did the framing, electrical, sheetrock, and all the trim work. It is a very functional place, very quiet, and stays very cool during these hot days, So now we have a legal three bedroom, two bath home, which really adds value. Eric Swendsrud and his crew did an excellent job on both jobs. He helped with ideas and thoughts that made both these spaces very usable and enjoyable. We would recommend Swencraft to anyone looking for a reliable contractor and does excellent work. We will certainly hire Swencraft for our next remodel job. A+ you guys!!!!!! Working with Eric and his crew was a pleasure. Not only did his bid come under several others, he took the time to educate us and explain the options we had to choose from. He was even able to work in a last minute water heater replacement as ours failed the a few days before the project was to begin.He includes a budget for tile in his estimate and gives you suggestions of how to stay within it and where we might get a bigger bang for our buck to splurge a little. The work started on a monday and was almost completely finished by friday. His crew were very professional and did not make a mess in the house. They did more than we expected, as we didn't expect to have to replace the insulation and one of the crew took the time to take the squeaks out of our bathroom floor. We weren't sure that the wainscoating would survive the removal (and Eric was upfront about that) but they did a great job of reinstalling it. There was a small hiccup the first day - while the water heater was replaced, a wire got knocked loose in the furnace (not a surprise, given that we have the worlds smallest laundry room and the previous owners were a bit creative with their electrical). This also meant that the AC wasn't working on a very hot June day. After we notified him of the issue, Eric quickly came back and repaired the wire. Criticisms: It would have been nice if they can put a tarp or drop cloth down outside when they were cutting the tile. A while later I was working in the garden by the place they did the cutting and found several sharp shards of tile. But that's a minor issue, considering how much debris was taken out of the house without incident. We are very happy with the work and plan to hire him and his crew again for the next applicable project.

This was a wonderful experience. I am so glad Swencraft was available to come out and help us with our closet doors. Surprisingly, for some reason, I had to call around to a fair number of contractors before finding someone who could help, so it was a big relief to find them. They were very professional and efficient. I am really happy with their work and will keep them in mind in the future.

Throughout the entire seven week remodeling project, Swencraft was a joy to work with! From the idea stage all the way through the design, quote, demo, construction, and finishing, Eric and the crew were extremely professional, and were especially patient with all of our questions. As the project progressed, Eric kept us up to date on the day to day plans, and he worked closely with us to time the design inputs he needed from us as the project progressed. We especially appreciated the design help from Michelle, who kept us from getting overwhelmed with all the design possibilities. She was a great listener, and helped us narrow down our final choices of cabinet and granite styles/colors, along with flooring, paint, railings/stairs/trim, and lighting to match. The crew went out of their way to separate the work area from the rest of our house to minimize the mess. They were extremely flexible to minimize the disruption in our lives as we lived in the basement. The work was completed within a week of the original estimate, in spite of the extras that we requested along the way. We just celebrated the holidays at our "new" house, and everyone was delighted with the finished project. I highly recommend Swencraft as a company to work with, and am happy to provide before, during, and after pictures and more information on request.

Eric was great to work with. He navigated between design ideas between my husband and I, offered up suggestions and solutions when needed and did an overall awesome job. The people who worked on our house were courteous and respectful and got the job done quick. Our job ran on time, the quality of the work was fantastic and everything went as we had hoped. His estimate ran true to the actual costs and there were little to no surprises along the way. We will definitely use Swencraft again on our next remodeling project.

Conversation went well pertaining to setting up a time and date for an estimate on the remodel of our garage. My original contact stated that I had some bad luck with contractors and was hoping that I can find a good one. His response was; "Sorry to hear about the other contractors." I put off other errands waiting for him to show up @ 4PM. I waited around home till 5PM, received NO call stating that he would be late or would not be coming. I will NOT recommend him to anyone!

Very easy to work with Eric. He offered suggestions for types of cabinets and working around furnace and water heater. Some suggestions were ways to save money and not just trying to increase the cost of the project. If I had questions during the project, it was easy to contact Eric. He quickly returned calls or emails. The crew cleaned up every day. I would definitely use Swencraft for future projects.

It went great. Eric and his team were excellent. I got what was promised and then some. They came when they said they would, and kept us updated. He even fixed a picture frame for me. I would highly recommend them and I would hire them again. Eric really cared about the work and it was obvious from the initial interview that he would only do quality work. Eric and his team care about the customers greatly. His wife was also very helpful. She is an interior designer and gave very good advice. I can't say enough good things. A while after all was done and the final bill had been paid, I discovered 2 problems. I called Eric and he immediately took care of both problems.

Was very impressed by the work done by Eric and his brother Jade. Eric listened to our wants and needs and created solutions in his proposal to match. They were always polite and prompt. For the most part, communications were excellent, always letting us know what was happening and when. I say "for the most part" only due to the fact that although Eric's proposal states "Project should take about 3 weeks to complete", in reality it stretched from March 1 to April 29 (8 1/2 weeks). Much of this was due to delays from a couple subcontractors, but since the project was nearing completion and Eric had started another project, we sensed the communication between us which had been so excellent began to fade into after thought. None the less, we are very happy with the completion of our remodeling work. We would certainly consider using Swencraft on any future remodeling jobs. I rated the pricing as a "B" only as it pertains to the supposed 5% discount advertised in his Angie's listing. When we asked about t, Eric indicated it had already been included in his bid and asked me if, in the future, he should show it in the contract. I don't know if it was really applied or not. I didn't choose my contractor based on the existence of a discount or not, but I still find it odd that after applying an advertised 5% discount the net bid amount was exactly $15,000 (meaning the full priced bid was $15789.47?)

It was a great experience. Eric took our ideas and presented us a workable plan to finish our lower level. He was conscientious about keeping the dust level down and prevented it from getting into our heating system. He was very neat and tidy in the work area. Subcontractors were prompt. Eric had them come back and do a touch up on the ceilings. We thought it was okay, but it did not meet his standards. We appreciated that. We would highly recommend Swencraft. If we ever have work done again, we would hire him to be the Contractor.

we found swencraft on angies list,as he listed what he could do distinctly,and other things he could subcontract out . they came right away to submit a bid.,and then got promptly to work. he and his crew were excellent and professional to work with and also his subcontracters.we are very happy with this company and would not hesitate to hire them again..thank you!

Eric and his brother not only did an amazing job remodeling this house....they were truly a joy to work with !....From the beginning of projects to the end....Eric was professional....honest...upfront ...easy to talk with through the process..had great ideas and foresight.....always was prompt with answering my calls with any questions I had...never felt like he was too busy when talking to him....even though I knew he had many projects going ... I could tell he and his team really enjoy their work and it shows in the final product ! They are good natured...skilled professionals in their trade......from the wall take down , drywall, electrical work and electrical lighting installs, floor installation, transformation of woodwork with spraypaint process, new closet doors and trim, and a new stairwell that just makes me smile when I walk in....they did an outstanding job ...My neighbors have come in to see the final result and they are blown away, very impressed :).....Any new projects we decide to do, we will be contacting Swencraft again..and any projects my friends/relatives have I will be recommending these guys !!!!
