I wished I had hired them in the first place! HomeWorks was extremely responsive, they kept me in the loop every step of the way. Josh did a great job installing a new kitchen faucet, which he had a few options for me to choose from and he replace my shower head. I'll be using HomeWorks again in the future!

They were very professional. Plus they were the least expensive from other vendors and they offered a 10 year transferable warranty which was important because we are selling our house.

The experience started off well, and went downhill quickly. It ended up a BAD experience, with NO follow up. Thomas was very knowledgeable and able to answer all questions initially. We agreed to purchase and have a water heater installed, and we set a date and time for the water heater install. The water heater was installed on a Friday afternoon. We also purchased a disaster pan and pipe/hose to route water to the floor drain in the event we had a leak again. The water heater DID NOT heat water Friday, and we had to call a service tech to come out Friday night to check on it (there was no follow up by the install team, or anyone at the business). We told the service tech about the problem and also that the pipe/tube from the disaster pan to the drain was not installed. She said she needed to adjust the water heater and that should take care of the problem. She also told us someone would come out the following week to add the pipe/hose. On Saturday morning we still did not have hot water. We called the service tech back and she sent out another service tech. Though we had an issue with a new install (we were a new customer), we were told they could not send someone right away, and we were put in line to wait for the available service tech. Early afternoon on Saturday, a service tech came to the house to investigate the problem. Again we explained the problem (no hot water) and that the pipe/tube from the disaster pan to the drain had not been installed. This service tech was at the house for 2 1/2 hours (maybe more) and determined that the heating element was out in the new water heater. His solution was that we wait until Monday to have it fixed (he was not able to fix it and made many calls back to someone else to help him - I am not sure he was qualified to do the job). I explained that with 3 kids, a wife and me waiting until Monday was not a good solution- we need hot water now; this is what we agreed to when we bought the water heater. He then talked to his 'boss' and they located a heating element. He left to go and get the element, never to return. I got a call from the boss who told me we would be without hot water until Monday then because the part they could get was not the right part. He had no other solution for us, and was not able to do anything until Monday. Yes, I yelled about this - it was a real problem because there were other plumbers who could have done this job. He was sorry but had no other solution to fix the issue. So, my family was left with no hot water until Monday (4 days considering Monday morning). I received a text from the boss/owner then on Sunday and he told me they could come out again on Monday and that they would replace the whole water heater Monday. I told him we would be home at 5 PM for them to come and do the work. He agreed to be there and exchange the water heater. 5 PM came and left and we had not heard from them. I called him and got no response. I called again and got no response. Then I called

They came out promptly, like they said they would, they looked at the situation, gave me 2 options and an estimate and they completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. I also signed up for their service plan that I'll certainly be using in the future.

Arrived on time. very personable. Had parts and things available. Did home inspection and found other issues that were taken care of. Gave me lots of options as to what to do now, what could wait, what level of new equipt. and consequently options of cost. No arguing or trying to upsell. I thought work was good but seemed a little expensive overall. I was glad of inspection because found that water heater was starting to leak and had rust around bottom (I did not know it was this condition) and disposal had a crack in it and was rusted.

Quality of work is good but the labor is expensive.

Very professional and was efficient in making a good repair.

The good news is, they got the system working again. The good news stops there. I had already done the troubleshooting and listed the part numbers required. They didn't bring the parts with them, requiring an additional trip to get them. Approximately half an hour to install the new part (which is available on the internet between $180.00 and $250.00) I was out of town and unavailable. They told my girlfriend it was going to cost $999.00 and had her sign the estimate. I would have told them to leave my house. I believe they took advantage of the situation. It was NOT an emergency call as they didn't show up until until approximately 1:00 PM. I can see no reason to charge that much, other than simple greed. EXTREMELY disappointed and would advise anyone to avoid this company. I am in the process of trying to recoup some of that service charge. If they are amenable to changing it to a reasonable profit, I would amend my opinion, somewhat.

On time and excellent in explaining what needed to be done. I would definitely use them for other projects around the house.

Terrible experience. Stay away. They claimed they were going to do a furnace tune up. They then said the furnace was bad, shut off our heat and tried to sell us a new furnace. We had Home Service Plus come out and confirmed the furnace was fine. If it had been bad the repair would be under warranty anyway. I called the owner of Home Works to complain and he suggested to bring back them and Home Service Plus to argue over who was right. They also marked up their work over 300% on what they did do. Profits are fine and legitimate. Gauging is not.

They did terrific work, were friendly and informative.
