Project was delayed many times due to finance person and contractors not showing up and continued rescheduing by company. Took months with little communication.

Did not keep original appt because I refused to give husband's financials even though house only in my name and I was working for GM. Took months to start the job which failed inspection. After months of calling to have someone look at the job who agreed it should be redone and said he was scheduling a crew 2 years and multiple calls have resulted in no action.

The finished product looks great, no complaints on the quality of the windows, sliding door, or insulation. However we were told in writing during our first consultation that certain things could be included for no additional cost because of the areas they would already be working on (small piece of siding and attic hatch specifically). When our consultant came out a second time to take measurements and give a final estimate, I had lost our initial quote sheet (yes, that was completely my fault) and he verbally confirmed that these things would still be taken care of. They were not. I understand that at this point it wasn't in writing, but we were looking forward to having these things fixed for us, so it was just a bit of a disappointment. The installation went pretty smoothly overall, but the men who were working took smoke breaks right outside the front door with it wide open and were cussing up a storm the whole time. Now, I swear all the time and don't fault them for it, but as the client I do expect a level of professionalism when there is a $5,000+ job happening on my house. They were very nice and did the job quickly and cleanly, but I do have to rate lower than I normally would for the lack of personal professionalism and the tasks that were not completed.

Horrible. We had this started in June and the workers did such a horrible job that its Sept and we stilling trying get their boched job corrected. They lied so much I called my building inspector to come and check it before we sign. If we could go back we d never hire Hansons. Their whole moto is its guaranteed for life. Yeah but I want it done right the first time. I dont want to have to call them continually for months to fix it when we just hired them and it was done poorly.

I was shocked they wouldn't provide a quote and wasn't interested in doing business with us because we were only replacing two windows. I was told they had a three window minimum to accept any business to work with their promotions. We had Windows replaced throughout our house a handful of years ago and didn't replace two windows since we thought we would do a remodel. That never happened and wanted to have the two windows replaced. I verified I understood correctly because I couldn't believe this was the case. He confirmed it was.

I did not purchase services from Hanson's, but rather bought a house on which they replaced the roof a few years prior. They previous homeowner gave me a all of the paperwork, including the 'transferable' 30 year guarantee on parts labor and material. When we moved in, we noticed extensive water damage in several parts of the ceiling throughout the house. We had always assumed that this damage was cause by leakage prior to the new roof being put on. After about a year, one particularly long rainstorm cause a lot of water to pour into the house near one of the damaged areas. It was clear that the new roof was leaking in several spots.
We contacted Hanson's and they stated that they would be happy to come out and look at the problem, but only after we paid several thousands of dollars to 're-activate' the guarantee. I talked to several managers, and they claimed that the policy was to transfer the guarantee, but only if the new homeowner called them up, and specified they wanted it transferred within the first few months. If the homeowner failed to do so, they could 'buy' the guarantee from them. This was not anywhere written in the paperwork, only some type of unwritten policy they invoked if you try to make a claim. I found this laughable that there was some unwritten policy that they invoke to shirk any warranty responsibility.
Regardless of their fraudulent practices, the roof itself is obviously very amateurishly done. I had other contractors come out to determine where their failures were, and they pointed out many failures in their job. The most egregious mistake was a simple matter of them not replacing several inexpensive vent flashings at the time of the new roof. This cause a tremendous amount of water damage to the home.
I found the whole experience with them not only bizarre, but was told by several contractors that looked at the job they had done, that this was not the first time they had come out to remedy a substandard job by Hansons.

We signed the contract They were supposed to come two weeks later and they did not show up. I kept calling. They were to measure again 2 weeks after. The two measure guys' estimates did not jive. The manager and the sales guy came back 2 weeks later and looked at the house. The manager told me they wanted to schedule another measuring and showed up 2 weeks later. Did not hear from them until a week later. Then they said they would be at my house the following Mon. (message was left on my machine). They said they would show up the following Saturday. They did show on Saturday they measured again for the third time. Then I did not hear anything from them for another 2 weeks and the sales person called and told me there was over a $10,000 difference and that they messed up. I was upset and asked him to have Leo, the Manager, call me. Leo never called me. So I finally got a hold of Leo later that day. He did not give me prices and there was no final p on it and wasn't sure why the sales guy called me. I told Leo that I needed to know since it had been 2 months that I needed to know what was going on and Leo said he'd call me the next day (Monday). He never did. A week later I just started blowing up Hanson's phone asking if there was someone else I could talk to and a couple days later I talked tothe VP Marv Glaser He was supposed to call back and never did. I called him and he finally picked up. Marv said he talked to the owner Michael and they had revoked my contract because they messed up. They never explained why and all I wanted was another quote. They were supposed to call me back and I never heard from them.

We spent almost three hours with this vendor. We had to watch a video testimonial from the owner and listen to a long lecture to receive an estimate. When the pricing was first quoted at $25K then after several calls back to the office it dropped to $17K. The tactics regarding the whole estimate process felt like when you would purchase a used car.
The sales team was trying to pressure us to sign the contract on the spot. While this company had quality product, the sales tactics were not something we were comfortable with and ultimately decided not to move forward with them.

I've waited 9 months to review, thinking I wanted to to see if I changed my mind about how frustrated I was with my experience. Here is the thing. I do love my roof. However, it was costly, so I hope you get what you pay for. Sales person wasn't any pushier than others, yet salesperson WILL, NO MATTER WHAT, go through a very lengthy visit. My initial visit was rescheduled by them at the last minute (baby) and for inconvenience we were promised a gift card toward a dinner on them. Someone else showed up at newly scheduled appointment and yep, they didn't know anything about it so we never got it. That's ok, it was a nice gesture on their part initially. Then they had a promo where they give you a tablet--never got that because we got a sale price. Apparently you only get the tablet if you pay full price. We opted to let them put a sign in our yard to get a discount so we didn't qualify (and they pressure you to make that decision that day and if you don't sign that day you lose that discount,. I am sure it so you don't get other bids). And, beware, when you put a sign up it will be up for like over a month before they call you to do the work. My neighbors jokingly asked if we changed our mind and forgot to take the sign down. I can't believe it took so long to get done. Then the gutters were more weeks later. I got a call for the balance of money, I said job wasn't done. When they did do the gutters they called while they were here to sign off on the loan. I said there were issues with the gutters. They came and fixed them pretty quick. Overall process took about two months. If I had to do it all over again I would have gone with someone else. I feel after they kept adding here and there I kinda got shafted. All the wood had to be replaced, we didn't get to see the "bad" wood (well, we did get to see one piece but I personally wasn't convinced it was from our roof) and when they were done they had half a truck full of new wood, and like 6 stacks of roofing shingles left over. I'm thinking I paid for it and someone else got it or yet another customer got charged for what was paid for. Now, the subcontractors that showed up and did the actual work were nothing but professional and cleaned up everything. Again, the roof is beautiful and hopefully all their warranties and promises hold true. But for now I feel I made the wrong choice going with this company. I think you could get the same roof for much cheaper and the work done quicker. As a side note, my house is about 1700 sq foot and a quad level so the roof is not huge.
