Beth from Simplify It came over to help me pack to prepare my house to get it ready to list. I was behind and time was tight and the ladies from Simplify It were able to accommodate my request on very short notice. Beth worked with me for 3 hours and made a world of difference, both in how much got packed as well as helping reduce my feeling of being overwhelmed with everything I had yet to finish. I think the prices are a little high for this type of work but this was well worth the money spent and I would use them again. Thank you so much Beth for your help and Teresa for finding someone to help on such short notice!!!
Description of Work: Beth from Simplify It came over to help me pack things to get my house ready to show. She packed books, knick knacks, fabric, and many other miscellaneous things to help declutter my house. She was friendly, professional, efficient and did a good job. I never felt like she was dilly dallying (I've had other moving companies where the packing people did that) and was so grateful to get her help on short notice. I highly recommend Simplify It and Beth for your organizing, packing, moving needs.

Theresa and her crew were awesome! This is one of the best investments I've ever made. We had tons of paper work to go through. Theresa worked on creating a customized filing system that works for me. Initially, she came over to see what it was I needed her to do. We created a game plan which included a list of office supplies I'd need. Theresa actually went our and bought everything she needed to create my filing system and was ready to go day one. She brought one other person with her and both of them worked fast and efficiently. I had 5 years worth of paperwork and records to sort through. In addition, we have a new cottage we've been renovating for a couple of years and had lots of paperwork of it's own, like new furniture, appliances, building contracts, utility bills, etc. I felt this needed to be seperate from our main home and Theresa set up a very simple system to use. I decided to go ahead and let them organize our garage as well. We'd just moved in a few months back and had random thinks from the move thrown into the garage. When Simplify It started we had room for 1 car in a 3 car garage. She called in more help and 1 man with a ton of muscle. In a few hours, they had the garage completely organized! They happily moved whatever I needed from the garage into the basement (in its proper place) and we threw away or donated whatever else needed to go. We worked together 4 or 5 times in a two week span; by the time it was all over, they felt like family. I had my 2 year old home with me every day and they loved and entertained him when there were things they needed me to go through before we could move on. I can't speak highly enough about Theresa and her team. To be honest, when it was all over, I missed them. Although I'm a very busy working mother of two under 5, Theresa created a method and a way for me to stay organized and on top of (most) everything. I felt great when they left and have been following the rules I was given. Having a clutter free home makes all the difference in the world. Theresa literally 'simplified it' for me! I know I will have her back in the future...I have my husbands home office (an entirely different kind of monster) that needs her help. My friends are AMAZED at how great of a job she did. I can't speak highly enough about Theresa, her crew, and the job she did. If you find yourself overwhelmed with the thought of bills, paperwork, a closet full of random things you have no idea what to do with but know you need them, or any part of your home for that matter, call her! It was money very well spent.

My mother is a senior citizen and was very anxious about the process. Theresa was extremely helpful, personable, and easy to work with. She was very respectful of my mother and her preferences and made everyone feel very comfortable. Her organizational skills are excellent and she absolutely knew what she was doing. She was able to meet all of our needs but also had resources to coordinate with other services if she couldn't. We have since hired her to continue working for us as different needs have arisen. I would absolutely recommend her without hesitation.
Description of Work: We hired Theresa to help my mother unpack and organize her in a new house after she moved. She helped her figure out how to downsize while respecting my mother's desires. She was very discreet and also organized her papers, important and otherwise. She set up a filing system and a bill paying system for my mother, one that I could use and track for my mother in the future. She hired people to 'haul away junk' and also was able to find people to clean her house while it was being set up.

Beyond perfect!
Description of Work: Theresa and her professional crew, Carol and Ann were friendly, enthusiastic and extremely helpful in enabling us to sort through 35 years of clothes, personal papers, kitchen, basement and garage items over a 6 week period of time in order to help us make a move to another state with only 30% of what was in our home. They were very respectful of our need for privacy while sorting through personal items and papers, and fun to work with every day. We would have them return in a heartbeat and will miss them on the other end of this move!

Description of Work: Theresa and her team helped transition my elderly grandmother from her home of 50 years to an assisted living facility. The facility itself had recommended her and she knew all of the ins and outs of the place we moved her to. Very efficient, knowledgeable and worth every penny. I had received quotes for lesser costs but didn't get that warm, fuzzy feeling that I need to get in order to pull the trigger on working with someone. Don't go wrong by using someone else!! She packed, told us what to take and what wouldn't fit or be useful. She was the unbiased 3rd party needed in a tense and stressful situation. She could have gotten unwanted items to charity had we needed it, and she and her mover partner could have moved her as well but it was not required in this instance.

Theresa was in constant contact with us during the work. She notified us by email or phone about her carefully planned agenda for each day. She arrived on time and everything was always neat at the end of each day, even while she was doing the work. She suggested storage items that might be useful and with our permission, purchased them for us. She was easy to work with and very enthusiastic.
Description of Work: Theresa completely reorganized our basement which was filled with stuff amassed over many years. She purchased new shelving (included in above price) and labeled everything so we could find it easily. She and her team worked during the days when we were not home and then had piles of stuff for us to go through ourselves. She also completely organized our home office and made all paper work easy to find and access. She also made suggestions about how we could organize ourselves other rooms in our home.
