Nick arrived promptly at the appointment, and I told him about our experience with some wet carpet in our basement. I showed him the basement and the areas. He inspected cracks in the floor and wall and gave his honest assessment of the condition of our basement. Fortunately, we have nothing to worry about immediately. He described the process of how to correct cracks when the time comes and gave a ballpark estimate of the costs involved. He also suggested that we have the basement tested for radon as a routine procedure every three years or so. Nick was very knowledgeable, and I felt like I was given useful information and an honest assessment of what we have.

My husband said he enjoyed talking to the gentleman. He seemed to know what he was talking about. There is a crack. There's a couple of different opinions from people of what we should do about it. He's waiting for this guy to call and tell us what he can do. It was over a month from the time I called to make the arrangements before they could come out. That was kind of disappointing.

Couldn't be worse. Didn't do the service and didn't refund the money.

I purchased a $49 inspection that was one of Angie's "Big Deal" offers. I paid for the deal, but the company never contacted me by the promised date/time. I notified Angie's List that this was the case, but nothing came of it. Perhaps I should have called the company but I felt that, as I had already purchased the service, it was the vendor's obligation fulfill it by contacting me directly. After waiting two more weeks and not hearing anything, I asked for (and received) a refund from Angie's List.

The service tech was a long-time pro and very knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. He provided his professional advice, explained everything I wanted to know in layman's terms, and made some helpful suggestions. He made no effort to sell me amything now, but I would use him in the future if the need arose.

The two technicians were on time and worked quickly. Overall an excellent job, especially considering that the crawl space is not very friendly environment. The radon level in the basement is now just above 3.0, which is in the safe zone.

They did a good job. They were very efficient with the work. I would definitely recommend this company.

The man who came out was direct and honest. I was really impressed by his knowledge and his advice. Will call them when I am ready to tackle the basement.

.He was very nice and helpful. He didn't actually come out, he called me that he was too far away but consulted with me and it was of great help and apologized because he couldn't make it out. I explained my problem to him and he basically explained to me what he thought it would cost basing on what I was explaining.

They did a great job explaining what was going on and how to remedy them. Fortunately for me, most of my problems are caused by short down spouts, vegetation growing near the walls, and high humidity levels. They also inspected some small cracks that had appeared in the walls and floor. I learned a lot. Very informative.

Someone from Basement systems contacted me promptly after I signed up for the information thet needed to send me the test kit. I followed the instructions and recieved my results of the Radon test shortly after I sent the test in to be checked. My house did not have a high Radon level so I didn't need any further work done by Basement Systems

Thorough service as advertised. No attempt to sell other services. Just high quality, punctual service. A+

The inspection was ok, but he was also selling his basement systems so I felt it to be biased. However he was on time and very informative.

They scheduled to start on Monday 2/18/13 and complete in 5-6 days. They arrived as he stated they would and finished in 6 days. The job itself was hugh with a lot of manual labor. They came in and tackled the job with great gusto. They worked hard and did all that they said they would do. The job was a very messy job but when they were done the mess was cleaned up and left in the way I expected it to be. I would recommend Dave and Basement Systems of Michigan to all my family and friends.

The crew arrived around 11:00 am, but didn't start working until shortly after noon, due to the fact that they all ran out to the store 'to pick up parts'. Once work began, the crew was hard working, polite & very friendly. They finished the job up around 6:00. What the job entailed was jackhammering up the perimeter of our foundation in the basement, and installing a drain system, that feeds into the newly installed sump pump. They recemented the basement floor upon completion of the installation. The only issue we had was that the discharge pipes were not glued together outside, so they had to come back and address that issue. That took a couple of weeks to get done (part of that was our delay in discovering it), and then the supervisor came out to double check the work. I am overall very satisfied with the job done and would recommend Basement Systems of Michigan for basement waterproofing.

I appreciate the fact that he wears shoe covers in the house and is patient with my dogs.

I needed a second opinion on work in my basement. I am definately going with this company. The price and the service I feel are right!

The owner came out, assessed the problem, gave me a very fair estimate, and had a crew out within a week. Responsible, professional, clean honest, and- most importantly-- my basement is dry.

Dave and his crew had recently waterproofed our basement and installed carbon fiber on a wall that's under enormous pressure from tree roots. We were very satisfied with that work (and submitted a report about it), so when we realized that the sump pump in our basement wasn't working (we hadn't checked it previously), we emailed Dave to see if he would be able/willing to install a new sump pump. He responded very promptly, and within a week he came over to install the new sump pump. He showed my husband how to do it in case we're still in the house in 20 years or so when this one might fail. He did a great job; the new pump is much quieter than any sump pump we've ever had, and we are very happy with the service!

Dave contacted us about an hour after I put the request in, and came out to see the problem area the same day. He discussed our options with us, discussed the waterproofing option, which we hadn't really considered before, and then a couple of days later, he sent us his bid. We didn't hear back from any of the other basement contractors we had contacted, and we had had a very rough estimate from another contractor who had done some other work for us, which was much higher. We felt comfortable with what Dave had discussed, and felt that the price he bid was very reasonable. We agreed on a date for the work, which was supposed to take two days (a Thursday and Friday). The only part of the process that wasn't excellent was that instead of two people, only one showed up on the Thursday and Friday, a solitary worker who worked very hard and got a lot done-- but we think that if there had been two people those two days, the job would have been finished as expected. Instead, they had to come back on the next Monday to finish up. They cleaned up very carefully, and we feel that they did an excellent job.

Basement Systems of Michigan showed up on time the day of the agreed install. The owner showed up at the end of the job to ensure it was to my satisfaction. Everything was cleaned up and I have had no issues. The radon levels dropped in the basement from 4.2 to 0.6. I was very happy with everything and highly recommend Basement Systems of Michigan for anyone wanting waterproofing or radon mitigation.

I liked them and they were good but we went with someone else based on price.

I had a crack in my basement wall that was leaking water. I had them come out to fix it as it had been fixed in the past, by injecting it with an agent that would fill in the crack and stop water from leaking out. They offered me a different solution, that cost less money and appears to have solved the problem. They removed the injected agent and went into the wall and under the foundation to install a drain, rather than just plugging up the hole, like I had done two times in the past. It was wonderful, they showed up right on time and got to work. The first time they were here they needed to order a part to fix the problem and there was some trouble getting the part in and two appointments had to be rescheduled. When they came back out they had remembered I'd said something about some rod hole leaks that I was thinking of fixing and they did that work for free. These guys are great.
