This was my 2nd attempt yesterday to schedule an electrician yesterday. Scott answered my phone call promptly, and was able to immediately schedule a service call within 2 hours, despite his having a large volume of work scheduled that day. He arrived in a well maintained commercial work van and had an overall appearance of a professional tradesman. He consulted with me first, and then quickly confirmed my own diagnosis that the power issue lay outside my home and fell under the responsibility of the utility company. He provided some tips on how to work with the utility to expedite their repair, as well as answering questions I had about my system that were unrelated to the issue at hand. I can't tell you if his cost was competitive, as he refused any compensation for either his time or his expertise. I was fairly persistent, however he would not take anything for his work. Hence, I am taking the time to write this review when I have only written internet based reviews 2-3 in my life. What you should know about me to increase the credibility of this review: I have worked with contractors of all types and sizes during my entire 18 year career, both commercial and residential. I have worked as a contractor myself for home automation and low voltage installations. This ranks as one of the best experiences I have had with any contractor, in any situation. You can be sure I will be contacting Action Electric for any electrical work I have in the future, as well as recommending them to anyone in my area. I would give all A+'s if it were possible. Scott had done the electrical work when a contractor remodeled our house about ten years ago. We were impressed with him personally and with the quality of his work, so I called when we recently encountered an unrelated electrical problem (and didn't take the time to tell him he'd done work at our house in the past). After asking a couple questions about the problem, he suggested a cause that I could check without having him come out unnecessarily. That's more than impressive.

I called Action Electric to install an in wall timer switch. The owner indicated he could "squeeze" me in between his current jobs if I was available. We set up a day and time and he arrived at my home exactly as he said he would. We talked about what I wanted done and he proceeded to complete the job in a timely fashion. Very competent and friendly and I got to go on with the rest of my day.

Fine, all work completed as promised. He explains why things aren't working properly and what needs to be done to solve the problem, then solves it!
