Well My insurance co contacted this company to do the cleanup from a broken washer water supply line. they immediately came out Sept 20,2020. Then the remediation process started with all the areas that were damaged. Or should I say didn't need to be removed. Since this company can handle all your needs keep it with the one. Well they turned our home into a disgusting mess. Our 3 bathrooms are now 1 the flooring is completely gone with sub floor visible in areas along with a cardboard for a kitchen work area plastic backed felt walkways carpet padding in areas missing. Restoration was declined and walked away due to the fact that the project manager stated that I could do some of the work only to have the funds use elsewhere within the project. Definitely would not contact this company. just a waste of your time and energy It is now on Jan 4,2021 that this company walked away. I would put them as told by our insurance co on a will not contact list.

We had a severe house fire in February of 2014, we lost almost everything. The few things that did survive were heavily smoke and water damaged. I called Emergency Restoration because they were recommended by a friend. We had removed most of what was savable ourselves and were storing it in a garage in Hamtramck to protect it from further damage. Emergency Restoration came and picked up the items from Hamtramck, they were fully aware that the fire was in Imlay City and that there were more items in Imlay City that needed to be picked up and restored, they said that was fine. When it came time to pick up the things from Imlay City they wouldn't drive out there and I had to load it in a pick up truck and take it to them. They already had most of our contents and had done some of the work on it so it seemed like a hassle to change companies at that point.
When they picked up the items in Hamtramck I was informed that their furniture restorer was out for several months so the furniture could not be refinished\restored at that time. That was fine because it was going to be at least a year before our house was ready. (Huge understatement, it is now September 2015 and we still have at least 1.5 to 2 years before it is finished.) When they finally did inform me that their refinisher was back it was almost a year later and I had lost faith in them and did not trust them to do the restoration of my antiques, so I told them not to do it. I was offered the excuse that they had been very busy because of the flooding that spring and thats why they hadn't gotten back to me sooner. There were several dressers and other items still in the house that we could not get to and when we did finally get them out I knew Emergency Restoration wouldn't come and pick them up so I was going to have to find someone else to restore those anyway, might as well have it all done at the same place.
I was repeatedly asked to intervene between them and the insurance adjuster. It seems to me that dealing with insurance adjusters is their job and part of what they are paid for. Because they could not get in contact with the adjuster our things were being held at their facility where they were charging exorbitant prices for storage. I understand they are not a storage facility and have to charge high prices but they wanted payment before we got our things back and they couldn't get in touch with the insurance adjuster so I was stuck in the middle. Our attorney advised us not to pay out of pocket in case the insurance company challenged the charges plus we were struggling financially at that time because we had to replace so much.
September 2015: Apparently they finally got in touch with the adjuster and got payment authorized because they were suddenly in a big hurry to get in touch with me. We had a check for them for the full amount of the bill, which had been mailed to Imlay City. We requested that they deliver the items to Imlay City where we have a rental house and a storage facility, they wanted to charge us almost another $200 to take the things to Imlay City. They were already getting almost $6,000 for what amounts to mostly storage fees and I refused to pay another $200 for delivery. They told me their policy is that they deliver the things back to where they picked them up, probably part of the reason they wouldn't pick up the things in Imlay City. I had to drive out to Imlay City to get the check and take it to Hamtramck in order to get my things back. Having picked up some of my items from our house in Hamtramck they were well aware of how small the house is (800 sq ft) and how cramped it is but they obviously did not care that I have no room at this house and now can not even get to my kitchen sink and can barely squeeze by to get to the bathroom.
I do have to say that the workers I delt with, the ladies who came and packed everything up and the gentlemen who delivered the items back to me, were very friendly and courteous.
It seems like the amount of business we gave them was just too small for them to justify good service. Had I been told in the beginning that they would not pick up the rest of my things in Imlay City or deliver them back there I would have found another company. I am sorry I did not take the recommendation our adjuster gave us.
Based on my experience I would absolutely not recommend using this company.
