KEVIN ADAMS BUILDER INC

I learned of Kevin Adams through another contractor who happened to be working in our home. When he heard that we were considering a finished basement project, he spoke up and said that there would only be one builder who he would ever use....and that was Kevin! We contacted four contractors (including Kevin) for pricing. Kevin's vision of the project; his professionalism; and his fair pricing won my husband and I over. He is a very likeable and ethical guy who tells you what he plans to do...and does it! From the start, all of Kevin's subcontractors were very easy to work with. Everyday they arrived promptly at our house; worked straight through the day and barely took time out for lunch. Kevin was sensitive to our opinions and made sure at every point in the project that we were happy. He said more than once that if we were happy, he was happy. Recently, my husband and I took a trip to Florida. Because we had gained such trust in Kevin and all his guys we left him the key to our home which Kevin placed in a lock box. When we arrived home, the project area was pristinely clean! If my husband and I would ever need to use a builder in the future, we would immediately call Kevin Adams, Builder! He more than exceeded our expectations.

Kevin did a phenomenal job! I was in a very difficult situation. I had a foundation issue that was slowly getting worse and destroying the front part of my house. He very thoroughly investigated the issue (taking a fair amount of his time to do this) and came up with a low cost and simple solution. Kevin literally saved my house! I cannot thank him enough or speak too highly of him. Kevin REALLY knows his business. He is a REAL pro, in every sense of the word. I would trust him on ANY job and VERY highly recommend him.
As background, I previously had licensed structural professional engineers and foundation companies out to look at the issue. None of them identified what was ultimately determined to be the root cause of why my foundation was moving.
One of the engineers, and all of the foundation companies, proposed solutions that would have torn up my home, been expensive, and, worst of all, none addressed the source of the foundation issue.
The other two engineers looked at the problem and said they disagreed with the first engineer and foundation companies but didn't know the answer. Worse still, they didn't have any suggestions on who I could contact next to help me figure it out, other than one of them offering some names of some home inspectors she had worked with and recommended.
(As an engineer myself (though a different kind), I am very disappointed in and embarrassed at the supposed expertise of PEs. The licensing requirements need to require more hands on, practical experience, as I am sure the engineers I hired were book smart. But they obviously didn't have the practical, hands-on experience to investigate and solve difficult cases.)
Feeling very exasperated at the answers I had gotten, and thinking my house was going to continue to fall apart, I kept looking. A friend suggested Kevin and the rest is history. I am so lucky to have found Kevin Adams.
