Description of Work: I had Blanket Insulation do a whole house energy audit. A couple days before the appointment, they sent me an information packet with a few forms for me to fill out, a picture of my service person and a description of his qualifications. The day before, they called to confirm the appointment and the day of, the service person Greg, called to make sure we were still on track. | |Greg arrived promptly at 2:30 PM. He was polite, professional and very neat. His tools and equipment were well organized and he had a jump suit and shoe coverings to keep our house from getting dirty. He was very careful when he went into the attic so the blown insulation did not go all over. He did a thorough job and explained all of his findings. He explained which repairs could be done and whether they would bring a good payback or not. I followed him throughout the inside portion of the analysis and he was very thorough. | |Greg said he will send a follow up report and we can discuss what makes sense for repairs and also which repairs are simple, do it yourself repairs. | |The usual price is $300 for this service and I think that is a fair price. He was in our home for 3 hours and he was busy the entire 3 hours. This service for $59 is almost embarrassingly cheap. I highly recommend this service. I had an energy audit done about 10 years ago and paid about $275. This service was much more thorough and the base price is about the same. | |I am going to forward Blanket Insulation contact information to our Homeowner's Association board and maintenance company. If you want to list me as a reference for your company, I'd be happy to retell my story.

Description of Work: They provided a thorough thermal energy analysis. They explained where my home had air leakage and therefore was loosing heat. They also provided a quotation on providing sealing and thermal insulation upgrades to resolve the issues that they found.

Description of Work: They were very professional, punctual and clear in their presentation. We had a small mishap which they quickly fixed the next day.

Kevin did a fantastic job and explained everything very well. |Only issue was the work the test revealed that needed to be done in order to improve cold spots found did not meet minimum price for Blanket to do the work. I understand the reasons for minimum charges but unfortunately we only need what we need done so we'll move on.

The tech was great, on time and very informative. | |After reviewing my home, he sat down to give me the quote for adding insulation (which I knew would be needed) plus a few other items. Cost was very high, ROI for performing not advantageous at this time. I will reevaluate in the coming years.

Description of Work: They found all the cold spots in my home and made sensible recommendations - many of which were DIY jobs.

Description of Work: Just recently had a thorough evaluation of our home insulation. very impressed. Representative was very informative and knowledgeablE. With the information they obtained from their evaluation, they are now developing a treatment recommendation which we will review in a few days. So far, very impressed.

Description of Work: Had attic and basement insulated

Description of Work: Insulated two attics (one on each side of the upstairs bedroom) with blow in insulation and foam. Insulated the rim joists as well. Their work was really detailed and thorough. The winter prior, my pipes froze any time the temperature dropped below 15 degrees or I had to leave thw faucets dripping. Blanket Insulation fixed that problem and have given me tremendous peace of mind this winter.

Description of Work: The guy who did the energy survey blew ashes from my fireplace all over a room in my house and has not been the same since.

Description of Work: They reinsulated entire attic up to R60, had to air seal floor boards, found two walls that were not insulated at all so insulated those even though they were not quoted. Caulked around all the windows, put insulated boxes on recessed lights in attic, sealed all the doors, foam sealed the rim joists. Were great with getting the rebates taken care of too. Highly recommend!

Description of Work: Installed cellulose insulation in two attic spaces in my home including spray foam where needed and hatch remediation in one space. Unfortunately, the second hatch was not remediated. This was because the hatch (a piece of plywood) was out of the opening and lieing in the attic when they came. Evidently they covered it with insulation and then asked my wife if she wanted them to make another. She said no, that I could do it, which is true, but then they did nothing about the weather stripping and hatch pillow that was a line item on the bill and they still charged me for.I have NOT had a chance to discuss this with the firm and, at this point, probably won't but it is ~$75 I should not have been charged. Hence the lower score on price. The fact that it was not done is not the issue. That came from bad communications because I wasn't there. The only issue is being charged for the work that wasn't done.

Description of Work: The reinsulated the entire house. both ceiling and walls. They were punctual, professional and worked very hard to complete the job in time.

Description of Work: The person was sent out to evaluate my homes insulation needs. They estimated I should spend $2700 on additional insulation. I told them I didn't want to spend that much and ask for a smaller recommendation. They have never contacted me back nor did they fulfill the $99 installation package.
