I found the company through the Consumers Energy "Michigan Saves" energy rebate program. They came out and did an energy audit, which included a blower door test, infra red camera test, and a safety check for CO emissions and proper venting of the furnace and water heater. They identified areas that needed improvement. My house was built around 1975, and had R 13 attic insulation. So we discussed insulation, air sealing, and a new high efficiency furnace (I had been shopping for a new HVAC unit for several months). The major appeal was the rebates given, but that is through a different entity. A 2 person crew arrived on time and proceeded to work nearly 11 hours to complete the job. They attack the attic first, and installed air baffles, bathroom vent, and spray foamed all the entrance points in the attic where pipes go through. The insulation is messy (dusty), but they do a fine job of sealing off the room and covering furniture and the carpet. Upon completion, they shop vac the debris left. They then went on to the basement to the rim sealing with spray foam. I have a finished dropped ceiling in the basement and every perimeter panel was moved and put back in place, and the floor was vacuumed. The only additional clean up we did was some dusting, and ran our vacuum once over the area. A couple weeks after completion they do a post energy audit. It showed a reduction of 20% air loss. Additionally, they inspected the attic space and found that I was two inches short of being R 49. It had to do with an initial assumption that I had more insulation then was in place. They came out two days later for no charge and added more cellulose to the attic. Same procedure, same professionalism. It was rechecked again, and project completed.

I feel all went per quote plan. Showed up on time, layed down tarps, cleaned up upon completion.

Everyone was very professional and courteous. They arrived on time, completed the job and involved me by showing me what and how they were going to do things. They also did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. I actually found them from an advertisement on the local news. I hadn't really thought about insulating my house until they tested and I found out how much air (gas for winter and electric a/c for summer) was escaping from my home and resulted in me paying much higher utilities. The day that they installed everything it was very cold in my home. As they put in the insulation, a couple of hours later I noticed a change in temperature within my home. The company was a pleasure to work with and they honored everything that they said they would do. I highly recommend them as they did an excellent job for me.

This work was performed as part of a promotion with DTE. With all the scams which abound today, I was a bit nervous about the whole endeavor. However, it was all unfounded. They accommodated my schedule, and the workers arrived promptly. The work was done in a professional manner. My only criticism had to do with communication of what I needed to do prior to their arrival (in my opinion, an issue with the office communication, and not the working crew). All the furniture needed to be pulled away from the walls by me so that they could access them. Though I anticipated some of this, it made for a hectic half hour when the crew first arrived. The crew was responsive to my questions, and did not seem to mind as I looked over their shoulders. Because of how the house was insulated from the inside, I need to repaint the walls, but they did a good job of repairing all of the holes (must be 50 of them). They will only require some minor touch-up and priming before the final paint which is what I was anticipating. They could have gone through the brick on the outside, but I absolutely wanted to avoid drilling so many holes in the mortar. They did need to do about six holes where they couldn't go through tiling, but the mortar was repaired satisfactorily as well. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. My house had NO insulation in the first floor walls, and the house is always drafty in the winter. I can't wait for winter to come again to try out my new insulation.

Worked with Greg Mellas, he was excellent and easy to work with. Furnace & air conditioner were installed one week, work performed professionally. Following week the insulation team were out to install the insulation - the team was superior. They worked non stop and didn't break for a quick lunch until 3:00 or so. They were back to work, finished work in the basement, cleaned up so well that you wouldn't even know they had been there. I would give this company an A+ rating for their excellent customer service and profesionalism. Great work guys, it was a pleasure working with you all.

Tim was my first contact and I could not have been more pleased with his professionalism and obvious extensive knowledge of this entire process. It's a very complicated idea (to me anyway), and he spent so much time with me ensuring I understood. I was not looking to spend a couple thousand dollars on a project that I knew nothing about! But once I understood the savings this would bring to me I agreed to spend the money. I cannot say enough about Tim. I would not have been comfortable with all of this had he not been so absolutely wonderful to deal with! The day of the service there was a problem with arrival time. It was sorted out but should not have happened. It made the job go another day. I requested the same workers because of a myriad of reasons. It was agreed to by the secretary that the same 2 guys would come, only on time. Well 2 different workers came, so then we had to go over everything from the first day.. It's not that important actually. But when a promise is made, it should be kept. All the workers were wonderful. Very polite and professional. I appreciated that.

My initial contact was through the energy audit. This was probably the best $100 I've spent. Tim S. cam out and spent about 4 hours going through the entire house. He checked gas, CO2, C01, tested for all air leakage and combed through our attic. His attention to detail and pride in what he did, was obvious from the start. After a thorough 3 or so hours of testing he proved a detailed 5 page report from conumers, DTE and Energy star. We had quite the leakage. We let him know that we were on somewhat of a budget and were not looking to do anything fancy. He gave us a quote that was a great price and explained how and why they would do some things to get us more energy efficient. He never tried to sell us anything or pressure us and he was very patient with my questions. He installed all new energy efficient devices on all water spouts, checked thermostat and also showed me where and how to caulk some of my windows. He said this would save us a ton of leakage and also save us about $500 to pay someone when it was easy to do ourselves. I am really thankful to him for showing me that, i had never done it and now i know how to. He also showed me how to fix some issues with my basement glassblock windows (totally irrelevant of the project) The work was scheduled two weeks later. The two workers that cam out were also two of the nicest people we had ever met! Dave and Rodney. They were polite, worked quickly and also answered all of my questions. We have two cats who were scared and they actually talked to them and told them not to be scared. Thought it was worth mentioning b/c that has never been my experience with contractors. They completed all the work ahead of schedule. Since they were done 45 minutes or so, they went around and checked other work i had done (it had been done incorrectly) and fixed it. I had my back door weather stripped several years ago and Dave noticed the door didn't close properly. He actually re-did it for me for no charge. Rodney was so thorough in cleaning up that i actually had to tell him that he was now cleaning up after us, not them. LOL. Great experience, Great company and great people. it's so amazing when you have work done and it goes that well.
