They started the job June 20, 2013 and last worked July 23, 2013. Out of the 33 days, they only worked 7 days, and only a couple/few hours each day. They cancelled 7 days, and 13 of the days they said they would be on the job, but didn't show up. No call, no show. They would not return phone calls or emails, only correspond by text, and would not respond to most texts. In addition, they were supposed to reuse my old pump, but took it "by accident" and won't return it; I'll be filing a police report for this. I've had a couple other pool contractors out to quote the finish of the job. They've advised me that the light installed needs to be dug up and redone because Great Lakes used wrong size piping. Also, coping needs to be fixed in several spots, dirty,
scratched, bowed, and 3" gap on either side of stairs. In addition, $3,000 of added expense for electrical and gas plumbing that Great Lakes did not quote; most likely because they do not know what they are doing and would have done it incorrectly; which would have been unsafe!
Stay far, far away from these guys!
