This install was done on a new construction project. The company charged me half the cost of the contract last year to pre-wire the studded home. Unfortunately the original installer who did the pre wire retired. The new person was polite and personable, no complaints about his attitude. He also removed his shoes at my request and installed an additional control panel that was not originally planned. He completed the job in one day. Unfortunately he was wearing a tape roll holder with a nail which protruded a quarter inch past the edge of the tape roll. This roll of tape was attached to a 3 inch long cord hanging from the bottom of his tool pouch. As you can imagine, as he walked, the tape roll bounced wildly around. This being a newly finished home, I asked him to remove the tape holder on 3 separate occasions to avoid damaging the newly finished surfaces in the home. He never removed it although he said he would twice. We now have to repaint the wall in our stairwell. Additionally, the power transformer for the alarm system plugs into an outlet. The cord for the adapter was run through a hole in my wall that he created just below the outlet to the room on the other side, then run to the alarm control box. Note that the room behind was not finished. To paint the picture, if I unplugged the transformer, there was no way to move it as the wire was run through the wall, it would just hang from the cord run into the wall. I called the company and spoke with the answering service a few times, they were not interested in the complaint and said they would convey my request to the company. Part of my request was to not send the original installer as I will not allow him back in my home. About a half hour later the original installer called me. I called the company again and finally got through. The person on the phone was nice enough but was totally uninterested in the complaint or making anything right. He got minimal detail and sent the request off to another installer as I wanted the power transformer moved. This new installer did call me and told me how to clear and error code, we discussed setting up a time for service but he made it clear my home is way outside of his area and he would have to make a special trip. He never called back to setup the appointment. Fortunately I was able to move the transformer myself however I now have a small hole in my wall to repair and paint. I rated the price a D as 1) I have not compared prices and 2) am including the cost of repairs from the damage caused by the installer although did not list them above in the cost of the system. Unfortunately I will likely cancel my monitoring service with the company once my obligation is fulfilled. Also of note, the installer who damaged my walls indicated that the company is in the red and hoped that I would not cancel my monitoring plan. I believe this is sort of guilt trip comment to keep customers paying the monthly fee. I cannot support a company that does not practice great customer service especially considering the anticipation of monthly revenue from their customer base.

We have had the same company for 20 years. The repair man has also been the same, which speaks a lot about the company. They have been very responsive to any problems we have had and their service has been very good.
Description of Work: He came out last to provide a routine maintenance appointment.

THIS COMPANY IS VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY ARE ALSO VERY INFORMATIVE. THIS COMPANY WAS ALSO ON TIME LIKE I WAS TOLD. THEM CAME DID THE WORK THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO AND LEFT.
