Description of Work: removed old garage door and all old hardware. replaced with new liftmaster with enhanced driveline, 1/2 hp and new hardware. They corrected garage light/electrical to allow the lights to work as it should (the previous company somehow did not have it properly installed). The the model also came with an outside keypad installed for added protection/security. The installer did the work, and took all of the debris with him. He gave us a overview of the features, and how to operate this model (it was quite different from the very old one we had). He was professional and knowledgeable.

 + -1 moreCalled Precision Door Detroit (on Farmington Road) on Monday afternoon. Requested Wednesday afternoon appointment, and got it. The serviceman called late morning on Wednesday to see if I was available before scheduled time, and I was, so he arrived within 15 minutes. I called because the cables were frayed and stretching, but he also pointed out that that several bearings were shot (and he was right -- I just hadn't noticed before) and that the springs were under-sized (and he was right about that, too -- the door had been REALLY hard to open before that). He left it completely up to me, but I agreed that the entire overhaul was warranted. He completed the work in a couple of hours with parts he had in his truck. While $525 seems like a lot of money, I probably got a fair deal, considering the parts, hard work, and experience that Precision Door provided. The door opens easily and smoothly now.
Description of Work: I got a complete garage door overhaul, including: 2 new springs (extra-large, for a heavy wood door on a 2-car garage) 2 new cables 2 new cable drums 10 new bearing (the small wheels that ride in the track) Installation
