We have a standard, two car, white garage door, metal, non-insulated, sectional, with one row of windows. This garage door was originally installed in March, 1999 and has been repaired once before. This time, due to the extremely cold temperatures, the center spring broke. In addition, the side bearings were slightly bent. When this happened, I immediately went on Angie's List and found Precision Garage Door. I contacted them Tuesday, January 7 and they scheduled me for an appointment within 48 hours, on January 9. They confirmed this appointment with an email. The morning of the appointment, they called to confirm that Aaron, the technician, would be at my home within the hour, which he was. Aaron checked the door from the outside, then walked through the hall to check the garage door from the inside. He could immediately identify the problem was not only the center spring, but also the center bearing, and bearing at both left and right. He wrote up the estimate for repairs, which I authorized, then went to work. He worked quickly and efficiently. He removed the old parts, then took them to the truck for disposal. He put on the new parts, oiled them, then operated the door several times before calling me for an inspection. I raised and lowered the door several times, noticing how much quieter it sounded. I walked around the garage, looking at the raising and lowered door from several vantage points. Before he left, Aaron gave me two things. The invoice explaining itemized parts, detailing costs (very detailed, indeed----longer than my weekly grocery list!!!). The second item which he gave me was a very well done folder with company logo, brochures containing information on garage door safety and maintenance. The entire experience, from scheduling appointment to completion of job, was very professional. I shall definitely call Precision Garage Door again!! Aaron was an efficient technician!!

They were a five star operation. Could not ask for better.

I immediately refunded this Deal after I realized that it was in another state. It wasn’t a negative experience on the provider’s part by any means.

Since the service the door is so quiet you would think it was an entirely new door.

They checked out the garage door and oiled it up, and installed a device that would let me know when the door was open.

Due date is 12/16/13. But they told me they had broken my parts so I should wait for another 1 month. Is it precise to repair my door ?

They refurbished my whole garage door set-up. Lubed, replaced warped, broken or incorrect parts, leveled the tracts for the door (which were WAY off on one side), adjusted the doors raising & lowering distance. My only negative comment is that the service tech had run out of a particular safety item that adheres to the inside of your garage door, to let you know when the door is open and plug in, inside the house. It was supposed to be mailed to me and I have never received it. I will be calling them about it.

The worker was very professional and offered me different options at various price points. I decided to go with the door opener that had a battery backup which is why the cost was higher.

Checked my door, reconnected a chain, sprayed the wheels, gave me the can of spray so I could do it myself, explained what to watch for to make sure the door works longer. Am glad to have a resource on file!

Everything went well and according to plan and schedule.

Removed two 25-year old LiftMaster garage door openers and replaced with new models. Rebuilt the operating mechanisms on two garage doors--drums, rollers, cables, end bearings. Added struts to both doors. The technician, James Kershner, explained everything to me, completed the work in a few hours, cleaned up all debris from the project, and explained how to operate and maintain the new openers. I was extremely satisfied with the entire process, from his arrival to his departure.

Updating this review to a more positive one. My wife left the initial review after discussing the work they provided. We had just moved and the garage doors were fine, so there wasn't much to be done. She must have misunderstood when I said "they didn't do much". The price did seem a bit high because there wan't really anything to be done other than lubing the springs, which I would have done onyway. Perhaps different rates should have been given based on the condition of the doors.

Scheduling was very good. They were knowledgeable and used the opportunity to try to make me buy more product. It turned out fine except they tried to sell me other things, which made me uncomfortable.

It went OK. Scheduling went very well. The tech was very professional.

The garage door has been working better since. They said the garage door was too old to replace the rollers or do the other work aside from replacing the cables. Scheduling was fine and they came out promptly. He was knowledgeable. I just felt that the Big Deal was misleading as they couldn't do any of the other work and didn't offer a price discount due to this.

I feel it was waste of my money.

I contacted this company to do some minor repairs on my garage door, I.E., hinge replacement, panel straightened out, because the other company I had at my home earlier for a tune-up was booked the following day, so I had precision garage door to come out. I had informed the Tech I had just had the door tuned up & that we had a accidental bump on the door. This man didn't come here to fix minor repairs, he came to sell me a $1500 garage door. The other company I had at my home for the $99 tune-up, replaced rollers, hinges, adjusted & oiled springs, and straighten one of my panels. He also did extra work he didn't charge me for. Granted the door is an older door, but it still works fine. If it ain't broke, why fix it!!!! Use another company this one is money driven, not customer service driven!!!!

Fred arrived as promised. Checked items I was concerned with- He did complete check & listed what was needed & completed work agreed on.

Showed up a time. Serviceman was very professional and helpful. Fixed my problem with to door not closing. Explained what I should do to keep my garage door working properly. Left a can of graphite spray. Would highly recommend.
