Description of Work: I paid $39 for $100 in plumbing and got an estimate for $350. I could've gotten an estimate for free anywhere. $39 down the drain (literally)

Description of Work: I had both my AC and furnace checked, but found out that these are not normally done on the same day due to large temperature swing required. This would have been nice to know during my phone call appt. During the visit, my AC unit stopped working, which was concerning at first given the timing of the visit and issue, but understandable based on prior issues with the unit and likely the testing that took place. I had to replace a capacitor and added a hard start kit.

Description of Work: Statewide cleaned and checked out my A/C unit. Found a mouse nest in the unit which he removed and did a thorough job cleaning the unit. Showed me how the unit worked and gave me an idea how much longer it would last.

Description of Work: "I purchased a coupon for an HVAC service call 30 minute diagnostic because I had water under my furnace when the AC was running. I wasn't sure if there would a hard push to perform additional services that I may or may not need, but I knew Andy's was well reviewed.The technician that came out was incredibly helpful. He fully checked the system, installed a new humidifier filter I had and even made sure I was using the right settings in the winter/summer. He didn't have to take the extra time to do any of this. He did find an issue with a disconnected hose which I need to have repaired. I found the price to be very reasonable. He also recommended a preventative service based on one of his tests but he did not pressure me at all to have the work done."

Description of Work: They came to do a furnace tune-up and found problems - the furnace was 23 years old, so I knew it would happen sooner than later. I had gotten quotes a year ago from several places (including Andy's), and while their quote was on the high side I decided to go with them based on good reviews, knowledge and professionalism. They came a day later to install a brand new furnace and AC unit and finished mid-day (our home is only 1,000 sq. ft.). They were efficient and polite. I was also able to pay with a Home Depot credit card with 24 months 0% interest since they contract with Home Depot, making it a tiny bit less painful to pay for such a huge expense.

Description of Work: AC check and tune up. I was surprised that the outside condenser coils were not cleaned. Also, no Freon was added, but I was not home to ask if he checked it or not to see if it needed any. Due to its age, I expected it to need a little Freon.

Description of Work: "I had my furnace and water heater replaced September 2014, and was very happy with the price and installation. But, this summer, when I had my AC replaced by a different company(better price), when inspector came to inspect after the install, I find out Andy's didn't pull any permits, and there was an error with the install! They are a good company, and we've used them before, but I can't figure why they wouldn't pull the proper permits!! The city made them come and re do the error, which they did, but I still haven't got a call back from Andy's, as to a follow up, that the installer told me I would receive! I guess I'll not use them in the future. Too bad! Seems like a simple thing to do to be a reputable company......"

Description of Work: Had a furnace and air conditioning unit maintenanced. A/C unit needed about 1lb of recharge--freon was a little pricey - but let them do it rather than try to get another vendor out that might save me a little on freon. Tech did a nice job, so gave him the business.

Description of Work: Checked refrigerant content: low. Established that there is a leak in the system. Advised me that replenishing the refrigerant wouldn't work; the new material would just leak. I won't replace the unit--whole-house air conditioner--this year, probably next.
