Description of Work: This is a long post: They came out originally to perform cleaning service with 22-point inspection that I found on angus list at a discount they had on special. We knew the furnace was old (22 years old) but did not know the condition of it as we had only been here a couple years. I wanted to have it cleaned and inspected which was a good thing that we did because Ken found that 3 safety switches were bypassed, the air box was cracked and the heat exchanger was cracked. He also pointed out that our hot water tank was supposed to be a power vent due to fact that it was vented horizontally and not vertically (which we did know about from the home inspection but did not know of the bypassed safety switches or the cracks). Luckily he performed a carbon monoxide test and none was present (we also have detectors located throughout the house and in the furnace room, never a problem). One other thing that he noted was that the hot water tank and furnace vented under our deck which will cause it to rot out AND the fresh air intake for the old furnace was ALSO located under the deck only a few feet away! Two brothers came the next day to install our new furnace and hot water tank. They did a great job. They put drop cloths all the way to the basement and to the furnace room, they were neat and clean with their work and did not leave a mess. The only thing I noticed was the installer forgot to run the water softener drain hose back into the basement drain. Which was easy enough for me to route back to the drain myself but luckily the water softener did not regenerate that night!

Description of Work: I originally had them come out to clean the furnace, but in the process they found that the heat exchanger was cracked and because the furnace was so old they would not be able to get parts. They wound up installing a new high efficiency furnace which I chose and which I am very happy with.

Description of Work: We had a leaking humidifier - Mario came out same day, very pleasant. He had to come back two additional times to finish the job because the wrong part got ordered on accident. I was very happy with my service, but ever since our humidifier whines every time it turns on. This never ever happened before, and the constant high pitched whine is super annoying.

Description of Work: Had to come out a second time. Put a new thermostat on and checked everything on the furnace. could not find the problem. told us to call if it happens again.

Description of Work: Standard furnace inspection and cleaning. It went very well, the technician pointed out small cracks in my heat exchanger which could be very dangerous.

Description of Work: The technician did a thorough job. He cleaned my ignition and had feedback about my filter and humidifier. My comment is that he said I had a cracked heat exchanger and it would cost $1200 to fix. He said it would make sense to just replace the furnace for $1600. The risk of not replacing this is carbon monoxide leaking. He performed a test, that showed very trace amounts. I have read different opinions on this and I am not sure what to do. This is no fault of the technician or company. I just want everyone that reads this to be prepared for the diagnosis.

Description of Work: Replaced the capacitor in my furnace; cleaned, rewired humidifier & replaced filter; sealed my media filter. I was very impressed with professionalism and thoroughness of service provided. I had previously (the week before) had the inspection done & signed with their home care policy which includes spring & fall check-ups and discounted parts!
