Andy's Statewide

It was fine. They did a good job and completed the work within one day. I was pleased.

Their service turned out badly. They rewired our thermostat so that it looked like the air conditioning wasn't working, so that we would need to buy a new system. When we got a second opinion, the contractor figured out the error.

Their work is perfect, the furnace is great. They arrive on time every time, and answer calls, questions, etc. I just received my rebate check!

They responded quickly to my request for a quote by sending a sales rep the Mon after I contacted the company on the weekend. They were able to schedule a visit at the end of the work day so that I wouldn't have to leave work early. The rep looked at the furnace I was replacing and recommended the same size, 40,000btu for 1600 sq ft condo.The furnace I replaced was a 90% Bryant that failed after 18 years-not a big surprise! The sales rep was definitely a sales person and although he was well prepared with printed material and a description of the available units, I felt it was too much of a hard sell . I needed heat however and installation was available the next morning so I signed the contract. Later, I decided to hold off on the purchase and contacted both the sale person and the company to cancel the installation the next day. Another company was already sceduled to provide a quote the end of the following day - Royal Oak heating & cooling & so I was going to continue to shop. The next am, the sales rep contaced me and offered to reduce the price by $150.00 but again it seemed like too much sales pressure. When I gave a price I felt more comfortable which was $350.00 lower than the original quote, Andy's sales rep agreed. Installation took place that day by one of their technicians who was very careful to cover the carpeted steps into the basement. The installation was completed and this company accepted payment by credit card (family heating & cooling did not accept a credit card) I thought all was well until I returned home from work the following day after the installation to find the carpeting soaked with water under and around the funace! I immediately shut off the heat (no heat after paying $2800 for a new furnace!!) I called both the sales rep and the company regarding the problem. Andy's added my furnace on to the list for a visit from one of their techs during the evening. After soaking up as much of the water as possible with many towels, an electric heater was used for drying the carpet for the next 3 hours while I waited for service. Very, very upsetting after receiving a brand new furnace. The technician came and quickly discovered a hose had not been attached & tightened correctly. He took care of the problem quickly and I was able to turn the funace on prior to bedtime! I truly expected a sincere apology and some type of discount for this botched service, not withstanding the work it involved to dry the carpet and the inconvenience of it all, but none came.

Very well....technician was courteous and professional,,,,visited the house..ordered the appropriate part..came back a few days later and replaced it. In 20/20 hindsight, was a little pricey, but honestly I didn't have the time to comparison shop. I needed the syatem working properly. Whan Andy's was done the job, everything was working properly. It still is.

He was excellent, very professional, and explained everything to us in detail. He fixed the problems promptly. We have used Andy's Statewide for years adn always recieve good service. They have an excellent maintenance policy that saves money on service calls along with no charge for weekend calls and cleaning.

The 170.00 was for 2 cleaning and inspections one now and one in the spring of the AC unit.The tech did a fine job and cleaned up after. He did find some parts that will need to be replaced soon and gave us a written estimate to repair and also to replace the 11 year old furnace. He also told us about rebates and tax credit that are currently available. . We did not call any other contractors and we have used Andys before on our air cleaner and humidifier and we were happy with them.

These guys were outstanding. I did a lot of checking before i purchased from them and they had about the same price as everyone else. The good thing is they did everything they said they would do with no surprises. They were on time, clean and finished quickly. I would use these people again and would tell others to use them as well. I think sometimes you get what you pay for and in this case I cannot be happier. My home now has solid uniform heat

They have done pretty well. They have been very competitive. You do have to push them a little bit. Their work has been very good. They were timely and they did a good job.

Bottom Line: Avoid these guys... Bad company... I paid for Andy's Statewide annual checkup/service plan last summer. I went with Andy's because they were local and originally installed my system. I experienced pretty much the same story that was stated 12/3/2012 on Angie's list. They told me that my heat exchangers were cracked and that it was not covered under warranty (only 15 year warranty). They then gave me pushy sales job on replacing the furnace. I was fortunate enough to have a computer nearby to check on Angie's list and saw the review from 12/3/12 stating they falsely stated others warranties had expired. So... I pulled the furnace manual out from behind the furnace (the one Andy's Statewide put there) and it clearly stated a 20 year warranty. When I made the service person aware of this the story started changing and they acknowledged that it was covered under warranty. They gave me a "special deal" for the labor to replace the heat exchangers because I had paid for their annual service plan. When I called around, their "special deal" was >50% higher that what others were charging. Interestingly, many of the companies I quoted were instantly able to tell it was still under warranty when I gave them the model/serial number. I ended up going with Air Conditioning Engineers in Shelby Twp. MUCH better experience, lower price, and did not feel like they were trying to take advantage of me.

It went very well start to finish. Every appointment on time, they were punctual, clean, efficient and professional.

Very professional. Technician was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable,and clean. I had an excellent experience overall.

The cleaning was fine, the service person found a crack in one of the cells of the heat exchanger. He also said the blower motor was leaking oil. He quoted prices on replacing these two items and also a price on a new furnace. He indicated that the furnace was considered old and would be to our advantage to purchase a more efficient furnace. Before commiting to any of the above, we had Family Heating and Cooling Co. come out for a second opinion. They agreed that we needed the heat exchanger replaced, they also informed us it would be covered under warranty. Andy's should have known that the heat exchanger was still under warranty. However, he saw no indication of a leak in the blower motor and since the furnace is just a little over ten years it made no sense to be replacing it. I definitely would not do business or recommend Andy's Statewide.

The landlord agreed with my recomendation and used Andy's to install a new furnace. The installation went great!

They are fabulous and in the past installed our furnace. We have a yearly contract with them.

Kurt Reinhardt, the salesman showed up on time and help us select an Amana unit that provided us with a significant upgrade to our existing unit. He examined our ductwork in detail and made recommendations for minor changes to ductwork to help ensure adequate system performance. Andy's Statewide showed up on time for installation. All lines were pressure checked and demonstrated to be leak free, prior to installation of the unit. Installation and changes to ducting proceeded without any issues. Installers cleaned and removed all debris. The air conditioner worked flawlessly throughout the hot summer of 2012. Electrical usage was lower and the unit was substantially quieter than the unit it replaced.

I was having problems with the cooling system seeming to run all day, but the house not cooling down at all. The AC compressor was dirty and Andy's cleaned it. It has improved the performance, but I still suspect the system really needs replacing.

I have previously used their services and have been happy with them before. They got here on time, the guy knew what he was doing, explained everything to me, and did a great job. They were very competant and the guy was right on target. Even though their services were provided through my home warranty, he treated me just as I was a full paying customer. They are a very good company and I am happy with their services.

Not impressed with solution provided. (Duct work, etc.) Provided less service for the money. Selected another provider with a better solution and a better price.

Overall they did very good work and had to add an extra air duct. The work is well worth value.

It's turned out very well. They've done a good job.
