Camp & Cruise

Description of Work: On 12/03/2016 I purchased a 1994 Grady White Gulfstream from Camp & Cruise and worked directly with the owner, Jeff Helms. Jeff was a great salesman, making many promises and assurances. I traveled 13.5 hours one way to pick up the boat because of the assurances Jeff made, the BBB rating, and many positive reviews. The boat made the trip back with no issues, but the first time I put the boat in the water, I learned that the starboard engine would not idle. I stayed in contact with Jeff the entire time. The second time testing the boat, the starboard engine seized up. I talked to Jeff to see how he wanted to move forward. After all, he had assured me before the purchase that there was nothing wrong with the boat, and the engines would last until I was ready to repower. Despite his promises, the only assistance Jeff offered was to SELL me parts to repair the problems. I was very disappointed with the situation and the position Jeff Helms took. Giving more money to a company that misled me and did not stand by its promises is not a move forward for me. After I made all the repairs to get the boat back to the condition I thought it was in at the time of purchase, I filed a BBB complaint with Camp & Cruise. In this complaint case there is a PDF copy of the text exchange between me and Jeff. I know nobody is perfect, and I was only asking for 50% of repair cost. I felt like I was being fair about the request, yet I still have not received any help with the repairs. Before buying anything from this company I recommend shopping elsewhere. I would also get a second opinion on the state of the item you may purchase. I would hate to see anyone else get treated the way that I have been. The good reviews clearly show that not everyone has a bad experience, but my situation is proof that this company is not completely trustworthy. I hope that you can learn from my experience so that you are not the next one pouring money into a purchase you thought was solid.

Description of Work: Pontoon boat engine repair and dock building

Description of Work: We special ordered a Misty Harbor Pontoon boat, including a trade in of a V-bottom fishing boat, custom installed fishing accessories, etc. Overall experience is great. Very professional team. Their sales people are excellent, and the service people are hard working and dedicated.

Description of Work: Needed advice and solution for boat gas system issue. Provided excellent advice and and provided a cost effective solution.
