METRO HOME IMPROVEMENTS

They were very friendly they gave me an estimate for $11,500. I applied for a loan thru them. They explained it would be used like a CC that I could pay for the remodeling with it When I got the card the interest was 30% and I told them I was not going to pay 30%. They contracted Wells Fargo and got it renegotiated it to 6.9%. The owner withdrew $10,000. from my CC account without my permission. Now they had a crew come out and replace the roof. They were supposed to replace boards and that was not done. They were also supposed to install vents and that was not done either. The trim was supposed to be replaced. They pulled the trim on the top of the house and they installed the new trim, but it was not done correctly. On the bottom of the house they put the new trim over the old trim. I told them they were supposed to take off the old trim and replace it with the new. The worker said "if you can figure out how to do it I will come back and do it." They caulked so much that the trim has gaps in it. None of the trim was done right. There are waves in it and the window even looks crooked because of it. Under the porch Soffit I have 3 lights and there are one inch gaps around them. I have a 4th light that I can't even install because they cut the hole in the wrong shape. They used particle board instead of plywood and it is falling off. In March of this year the nephew came out and said it was a terrible job and we do not work like this. He said he was going to fix it. In May they came and brought materials and left them in my yard under a tarp, and it is still there. I moved it on to some concrete. I was given a contact person named Butch. I contacted Butch in April and he did come out and said the job was horrible. Then I contacted him 2 weeks later and he said to contact Brian the owner and I have been getting the run around ever since. The work is still not done. They are very hard to reach. It may take 17-18 times before you can reach them. I just want to let everyone know not to use them. This has been going on for 2 years. Very, very bad company. Stay away. The workmanship is very poor. They really should not even be in business.

Very difficult to get these guys out on the job. Never came out when they promised to, and took them forever to finish the job. Siding on chimney was done incorrectly and started to leak into my home in 2016. We had mold and water damage due to the shoddy work performed by Metro. They would not stand by their warranty and come out to repair the issues, so the insurance company had to bring in another repair company to fix their screw ups. Long story short, we had to pay another $1000.00 on this second insurance claim to have repairs done right. Insurance company is filing suit and collection activities against Metro to collect repair costs. Our deductible is included in the collection, hopefully we get it back some day soon. Stay away from these guys, they are the worst of the worst construction company.

I do not recommend this company, delays in work , no communication skills hires sub-contractors that rush to get the job completed so more money can be released, he will tell the homeowner what they want to hear to shut them up , they do not stand behind the work they do, they will use every excuse in the book to not complete or fix something. we have a little girl that had to walk in thin set for 9 weeks before they finally replaced our tile floor that the sub contractor installed incorrectly and he tried blaming Lowe's along with tell me that I wanted the tile set a certain way, he took the sub contractors word over MINE and basically called me a liar to my face. the sad part to me is that the work the owner himself did was very nice and turned out beautiful but because of how i have been treating and due to his sub-contractors lack of ability to perform their jobs, I cant give credit for those things. I feel as a Renovation Company if you would NOT accept that type of work in your home then you should not expect your home owners to accept it either.
