TruGreen Lawn Care - 5788

We discontinued service with them because of very poor billing on their part. We worked with them for 8 years and discontinued service about 6 months ago. You couldn't pay me to go back to those people again. We were faithful customers for 8 years and paid them thousands of dollars. An issue came up on billing services and they treated us like crap. They called and tried to tell me that it was an outside source that they use for their billing service. I asked the name of the person and it was the same person I talked to every time so they even lied to me on top of that. I told them that we were done. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. I get upset talking about them. We paid them $1,200-1,300 a year. Their pricing was competitive. They rushed through when they were doing the work. They were supposed to call before they came and they just showed up. In 8 years they never called.

After the first application that Scotts applied to control weed was not affective. I notified them of my concern. A service representative was out within a week to retreat my lawn. My lawn now looks healthy and green. Very responsive and great customer service,

Not well. Saw no improvement in lawn, over course of year (2010). Had to use spot week killer, on my own. They were constantly trying to pitch additional services to sell me. Got even worse after I terminated service. Was getting calls every month, despite me telling them time and again I was taking care of the lawn myself this year. Finally, after getting still another call just last week, I asked them that they take me off their call list, and before I coud finish explaining why, for the fourth time, Paul hangs up on me. Needless to say, very unprofessional. He eliminated any chance of me going back to Tru Grren next year. I would not recommend this company.

They do a great job. They are very friendly, personable, and made sure I was satisfied with the work.

Our schedules didn't work well with the initial call. We had to go back and forth a few time before I spoke to the main lawn person. Everything went well after that. We had an initial fertilization then a more specific treatment for our lawns condition. We are happy with the company. The lawn seems to be responding well.

After 3-4 sessions, my yard had all sorts of weeds growing and a batch of dead patches from insects. One of the service people said that my yard had grubs and that I needed to rip out my entire lawn. Another service person said they were just sun spots and not to worry about it. The people didn't seem to know what they were doing, but were always interested in selling me more services, yet my yard looked terrible. I won't use them ever again.

Well, I thought everything was going fine. Then in July 2007 I began a remodeling project which included digging a new basement. The heavy equipment destroyed my lawn, which was expected. I suspended my service with them. Sometime around May 2008, I got a notice saying that their technichan had found grubs in my lawn which was then non-existent. I then realized that this was probably a computer generated call. I called them and cancelled the service explaining why. I then ws peppered with computer generated calls to start up my service again. I would say that the owrk they did on my lawn was satisfactory, but they never did get rid of the nutsledge. However I won't hire someone I cannot trust. I now wonder if the other special treatments were necessary.

They do several of the homes in our subdivision. They do very good work for us. We get a discount for prepaying each year. I am not sure how many times they come exactly from spring to fall. They recommend anything they see - if there are certain areas with bugs, etc. They have services to correct those issues. They just leave a note in our door and we are very satisfied with them. I feel like we get personalized service and we have had the same person treating our lawn for several years. They always sign the paper they leave us in the door so we know when they were here and who they are.

While I can't gage the tree and shrub service, the lawn care was terrible. After one year of using them, my lawn looks worse than ever. We did a much better job ourselves in the past year. I decided to switch to our neighbors service and paid the new service a year in advance for lawn only, still Master's Greens tree and shrub service. However, they called at least four times to offer "deals" after I've told them time and time again, I've paid another company for the year's contract. I had to cancel the whole service with them and hopefully they'll stop calling. Very bad customer service and lousy lawn fertilization!

They do a really good job. They are also customer friendly. They make adjustments in the plan if you request it. The price reflects the price for three months of treatment.

They are pretty reliable about doing the job. I have been trying to make contact with the owner for a couple months, but he has not come out when he said he would.

I like them because they have most granular products. Those seem to last longer. One time I didn't see the granular and I questioned if they even came. They came back and did it again to keep me pleased. I do like to know when they are going to come and they do call and tell me the night before. The above cost is what I prepay for the season.

Basically, I was happy with their application services. However, I stopped my service with them because of their lack of communication. I requested for them to telephone me when they were planning to come to my home. Initially, they stated they would do so, but never did. Therefore, I contacted them again to explain my request. With me having cats, I wanted to make certain my pets were not on the lawn. Since canceling the service, they have called me numerous times to attempt to regain me as a customer. By having an annual contract, a customer will receive a 10% discount. I opted to call them on a monthly basis as I would have services six times throughout the season. Even though my lawn did look better, I would not hire them again due to the fact that they would not call and let me know when they were coming.

They answered the phone but it took them a couple of weeks to get out. I was pleased with the price and had several estimates for the job. I wanted to be home when they came to do the work so they called the day before the came and when they were on their way.

Scotts Lawn Service does a quick efficient job of getting rid of our bugs. They are careful not to get chemicals on our vegetable garden. Their work really does hold the bugs down. They are in and out very fast. I pay them for each time they come which is about 4 to 5 times a year.

Well, when I called them they came right out and did what I wanted. They actually come and knock on the door to talk to you personally when they are here rather than just leaving a note or something. They were great.

They do a good job of coming on a regular basis and making my yard look great. I have no complaints and the price is good. I pay them each time they come.

I have never had any problems with them. They always come on time when they are scheduled and I am impressed with the work. They do a good job.

I have been using them for 4 years or soHardly ever know they're there. They leave tips on the door to preserve lawn. They do a great job and my lawn looks great!!

I was noticing my lawn was looking worse than most of my neighbors, even though some of them treat their own. The back yard has relatively new sod (3 years old) and the front had patches of new. I called them twice because they had treated my lawn and never posted according to law. I then called them back out for an evaluation of my lawn. I had asked for someone in management to look at it because the technician didn't write that there were any problems with the lawn, which were very obvious to anyone looking at it. A technician came out 6 days later, and said they were chinchbugs. Nothing about the weird looking weed grass that was growing in the lawn. They called to sell me a chinch bug treatment. I again said I wanted someone from management to come and look at it. Again they sent a technician out to treat the weeds he didn't say we had. I decided to cancel. If weeds aren't obvious to a lawn company, I personally feel they should find another line of work.

We were very disappointed with their service. My yard went from reasonably good to almost completely destroyed. It seemed that every month things got worse. Service personnel tried to cut their own deals to correct the problems. I tried numerous times to escalate the issues with them, but management refused to take any calls or return calls. They broke appointments at least 5 times. Eventually, my yard got so bad, that I asked them not to return. Although corrective treatments were supposed to be included in the monthly payment, they tried to charge me an additional $35. When I refused to pay, they threatened legal action, even though it cost me over $1000 to repair the damage they did. I would not recommend this service.

The person that came out to provide the service knew what he was doing and was very hepful when I was asking concerning questions. Thank you once again for the wonderful job you guys did.

Overall, I am not pleased with my experience. A representative called on Thursday to say they would be out on Friday for the next treatment for grubs and weeds. No one came. When I tried to reach them by phone during office hours(their recording says they are open from 9-1 on Saturday, I was not able to reach anyone. When I did talk to a national Scott's representative on the phone, she said her records indicate my lawn had been treated on that day. I or my wife was home all day yesterday and no one came. I was a customer of Scott's several years ago and had similar problems, but I decided to give them another try, based upon their promises to beautify my lawn. It appears that they haven't improved. And my lawn has considerably more weeds now that it did on May 5th, when they did the weed control application. The cost listed is per application for a 6500 sq. ft. lawn.

TRUE GREEN IS A VERY GOOD SERVICE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO PEOPLE WHO NEED THEIR YARD SPRAYED. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. THEY DID A GOOD JOB, AND I HOPE THEY COME AGAIN.
