 + -1 moreThey did a good job but they were very pushy. They would call every two weeks trying to sell me some more products. When I told them I did not want any they would call me back in another two weeks trying to sell it again. I would use them again in the future.

 + -1 moreThey were descent. They did everything when we moved in and my yard is fine now. They came put every month. They offered other services, but we just wanted the weeds done. They were always here when they said they would be.

Description of Work: SALESMAN CAME TO OUR DOOR, HE SAID THEY CAN TREAT THE LAWN FOR WEED CONTROL....COST 99.00 1ST VISIT AND EVERY OTHER VISIT, ONCE EVERY 5 WEEKS FOR 54.00, AND WE CAN CALL THEM ANYTIME, WELL I DID CALL THEM CAUSE THERE FIRST TREATMENT DID NOT WORK AND THEY NEGECTED TO DO THE SIDES. SO THIS BIG TRUCK SHOWS UP IN FRONT OF MY HOME AND PARKS ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE STREET, JUST A LITTLE WAYS FROM MY MAILBOX. MY HUSBAND GOES OUT AND WALKS WITH THE GUY AND SHOWS HIM WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, THEN THE GUY GOES TO TREATING...WE WERE INSIDE THE HOUSE, AND WE LOOKED OUT AND THE TRUCK WAS GONE AND WE NOTICED THE MAILBOX LEANING, UPON OPENING THE DOOR, WE FIND THAT THE NOTE INSIDE A PLASTIC BAG WAS LEFT ON THE STORM DOOR KNOB.....SO HE DIDN'T RING THE DOORBEEL TO LET US KNOW HE WAS FINISHED...HE HYTAILED OUT OF HERE AFTER HITTING THE MAILBOX. WE CALLED THE COMPANY IMMEDIATELY AND HAD TO SPEAK TO SERVERAL PEOPLE NONE OF WHICH COULD MAKE A DECISION. MY HUSBAND SPOKE TO DANIEL WHO SAID HE WOULD BE HERE TODAY...WAITED ALMOST TO CLOSING HOURS CALLED THEM BACK AND THEY SAID A NOT LEFT ON THE GENERAL MANAGER DOOR TO CALL ME. FINALLY GOT CALL WELL AFTER 6 PM....HE SAID HE MIGHT MAKE IT OUT HERE AND MIGHT NOT HE IS BUSY, TOLD HIM THAT I AM TOO AND I HAVE A BROKEN MAIL BOX AND HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO GET MY MAIL. HE REALLY GAVE A WHO GIVE A ....... ATTITUDE. AND WENT ON AND ON ABOUT HIS MAN WOULDN'T DO THAT...AND THEY HAVE BACK UP CAMERAS, AND SO ON AND SO FORTH.....WELL THIS TRUCK HIT MY MAILBOX AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT NO CAMERA...I WANT IT FIXED. THE CALL ENDED AND HE SAID I WILL TRY TO DO IT TMRRW AND ASKED ME WHERE I LIVED AND THAT HE WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA.

 + -1 moreThey came over and I just tried them. They said that they were good and we got to try them. The main reason I did it was because I wanted them at that time to take care of the weeds. They said not to worry about it, they had a great plan and they would do the weeds. If I had a problem, I should call up, they will come back out. They will do it. I called over and they came back out, and then did the same thing. The weeds were still there and they were unable to take care of them. It didn't get any better than the weeds from the year before. I then called them up to cancel towards the end of the year. They said I had to write a letter, so wrote a letter and mailed it. I addressed it to address that was bill which was a Wilkes-Barre address. The next year they came and did a service on my lawn and then billed me and wanted me to pay for it. I told them I was not paying for it because I told you I wanted to cancel and I wrote a letter. They said they don't get mail. I asked how come they have an address if they don't get mail. They continued to call me and wanted me to pay for that money and I told them I was not paying as I didn't authorize them. They said they renew automatically. I had called up and canceled. I went through hell with them. It was horrible. It was the worst experience I ever had with lawn people. I will never use them.

 + -1 moreI have used them for years but my neighbor watched as they drove up, applied fertilizer to my front yard and leave. The statement indicated that they did the front, sides and back yard. My husband called the company and was treated very rudely with the woman saying that they did not do business that way. No apology,no attempt to make it right. My husband then told her to cancel our agreement and not charge us. A few days later we received the bill for the whole lawn. I do not trust them and wonder how many times they have done this to us before and to other people. If you use TruGreen please make sure you watch them very carefully.

They are both professional and informative. If we happen to be home when they come and we have got something that we are concerned about, they will treat it especially.

 + -1 moreBe very cautious if you deal with these people. It is clear from my experience that they cannot be trusted.
Description of Work: Neighbors on both sides use them. Although their yards do not look any better than mine as I have been doing my own fertilization, weed and pest control, I accepted their door to door salesman's offer for a discounted promotion for a year of service. When the final contract from the office became available I learned that I had not been given a discount for a year of service but just an adjustment for the portion of the remaining calendar year. Not what the door to door salesman told me. I will not do business with a company that misleads or is dishonest just to make a sale. I will continue to do my own or use another company to do the service.

 + -1 moreI won't allow them on my property again. They almost killed our bushes and did nothing to help the lawn. Even after complaining to the corporate office, they were totally unresponsive. They offered to do a free treatment and NEVER showed up. They repeatedly harassed us on the phone to the point I had to threaten a harassment lawsuit. I will file one if they ever call again.
Description of Work: They were to treat the bushes for disease and do lawn weed treatments and fertilization.

 + -1 moreI let them decide what they what to do regarding the bug problems. They are really courteous. If they spot something they call or ask me about what to do about the issue. If I tell them I can't afford it they are still pleasant to me; there is no pressure on me to bend over backwards. The gentle man that come to the door from time to time; I do have an interaction with him. They are really a gentleman. My lawn looks great and looks like I worry about it but I don't.
Description of Work: I use TruGreen for lawn fertilization and treatment. They do the seasonal weed, feed and bug chasing kind of thing.

 + -1 moreWe do the absolute minimum and they always try to sell us more. They are kind of pushy in trying to sell us more. They charge us just over $300 for three applications. They leave a flag in the yard so we know that they have been here. The lawn does look better.

 + 0 moreIn the beginning I was disappointed with the feedback that my rout tech was providing. I called the management to share my concerns. I wanted the rout person to be engaged with my lawn, and provide me a plan on how WE were going to improve it's health and appeal. After my discussions with management, the service and communication definitely improved, as well as my lawn. By the end of the Summer, it was great healthy condition, minimal weeds and dark green. (I have the water bills to prove it). The over-seeding and aeration added to the health of the lawn and overall look. After 10 years of being in my home, the lawn has never looked better.
Description of Work: I have tried other Fertilization services in the past and have been disappointed. I decided to try Scotts because I have been using their products already for the past few years self application. I have 15,000 sqft of yard. I signed up for 4 treatments throughout the summer. I also added aeration and over-seeding at the end of the summer ($400+). They came out and either applied liquid of granular fertilizer. Each time they called ahead per my request. They spot treated for weeds as needed. They provided a receipt each visit with the services performed and chemicals used. Also added was any conditions or watering instructions as well.
