Description of Work: He cleaned and inspected our furnace. Upon inspection found the filter in our humidifier was moldy so he cleaned it out with bleach and installed a new filter. He also looked at a water filter for us and explained what we needed to do and purchase.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's list deal for a furnace cleaning and inspection. They came on time and on the date we set up. The gentleman who performed the work was professional and courteous. He cleaned my furnace and made sure it was all working properly so that I could turn it on for the winter. They did a wonderful job even though my furnace was one that was dirtier than they've ever seen. That tells me that the person who cleaned it in 2013 did not do their job very well and I appreciated the notice from Harriman's employee.

Description of Work: price was great. service man trying to tell me my air duct was too small. i've been in house 50 years, had 3 furnaces and always the same duct. he said , it was $1000. job, but would do for $700. why would i need a different one now. after 3 furnaces, one would have told me. sounds like he wanted to make up for the 39.00 job. will keep what i have.

Description of Work: I had my old central AC unit checked. Even though it looks old the service person said it could last another 5 years. The coolant charge was a little low, so I had it charged up to proper level.

Description of Work: I had my Air conditioning unit tuned up. It was a great experience! The service tec Justin, did an excellent job! He not only fixed my ac problem but he also taught me about the unit as well. I purchased a new AC base from Harriman, and 1 pound of freon. My unit runs as good as new. Thanks again and I will be back! I will need my furnace serviced in the fall.

Description of Work: Notified me approx. 30 min. before showing up. Introduced himself. Checked the thermostat, and then downstairs to the basement to check air return, filter before going outside to check the outside unit. I was present for the outside inspection and as he proceeded he explained what he was doing & why, asked if I had questions. He informed me the refrigerant was low & if I wanted to have him add some refrigerant since that price was not included with the 20 pt. inspection. He gave me the price to which I agreed & he proceeded. He was very professional, organized & informative.

Description of Work: Routine maintenance of the air conditioning unit. The service was very good. I marked a C on responsiveness because of the length of time that it took to make the initial appointment. I enjoyed the service and would definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: 20 point air-conditioning tune- up. | |My original appointment was ordered on May 1, 2014 to schedule service on May 13, 2014 between 9-11 a.m. No one called to confirm and no one showed up on that date. I called them at 11:00 to find out what happened. Vanessa claimed they called me (according to some mysterious note) and rescheduled my appointment for May 23! UNTRUE! I am a very active volunteer. 98% or more of my events are on the weekend. I would never schedule an appointment on a weekend. In addition, my birthday was May 24. I had commitments scheduled for the 23 - 31 to celebrate my birthday. The date they chose was not any of the previous 3 dates I suggested. | |Vanessa stated no tech was available on the date we confirmed. No one bothered to tell me about this either. I wasted an entire morning waiting. She offered to have my water heater checked free of charge. A more reputable company, Big John's Plumbing had already completed this service in a prompt and professional manner. | |I was informed there would be no openings until June. She could tell I was not happy with this arrangement. | |We agreed on another date which caused me to have different service people in my home 3 days in a row. May 22 from 12-4 was the new service date for Harriman Heating, Inc. The technician called at 3:43 p.m. to determine if I was still interested in getting service that day. I had no intention of making another appointment. I was incensed at his suggestion. He did not arrive until 4:37 and left at 5:15 after placing a big orange sticker without permission on my furnace. He also talked loudly on his cell phone while servicing my air conditioning unit. I will NEVER use this company again. They were extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate of my time and value as a customer. I have used Angie's List several times and have always been very pleased. This company needs to learn more about what exemplifies GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Description of Work: They did the job they were hired for. He did not remember we purchased from | Angies list. The price was $59 regardless if bought onown. He came and did his job quickly and left and no thank you was given.
